Chapter 26 “It’s been a month, Job,” Patricia says as she sits across from me. “What are you waiting for?” She’s talking about the letter she left on my porch on the day of Mom’s funeral. I haven’t opened it. And no, I still haven’t opened the door to my room. Christmas has come and gone. New Year’s has come and gone. And still, both stay closed. “I don’t know,” I say. “You’ve made a lot of progress in the past month. I can see great changes already. But this is a step you have to take if you want to keep moving forward.
