Aysha's body tensed up as she felt Alpha Jian's hand a little too low on her back, but with her father watching her every move, the last thing she needed was to call an alpha out for being a p*****t.
She heard Iona mention something about her being in the front and glanced at Zayne as they walked to the front, with Helena and James second and Aysha and Jian last. It was probably just her imagination since her head had started hurting again, but she thought she saw Jian smirk at Zayne as they walked by.
The door opened, and they walked into the ballroom to the middle of the dance floor while people gathered around them. The ballroom was enormous and decorated in white and gold tones. The room was at least four stories tall, and the ceiling had beautiful paintings and decorations.
