The Alpha's Mate

Episode 4- Mandy

Aria and I had been best friends as long as I could remember. We had graduated high school a couple months ago and she was the 'baby' of our friends. I hated seeing her pining over Tyler who made it his goal to shoot her down every chance he got. She never paid it any attention though, the girl has a heart of gold and skin of steel. She never let anything get to her. But I knew that if today came and went and Tyler wasn't her mate, it may destroy her. But what might be worse is if he IS her mate. 

FLASH BACK TO A WEEK AGO

I had just rounded the corner when I over heard Brad and Tyler's voices, we are werewolves so we have exceptional hearing. 

"Dude Aria turns 18 in just a few days, might be the day you find out that annoying little girl is your mate and future Luna of our pack!"

"UGH! Brad I swear if you bring this up again I am going to punch you in the face. I'm telling you if she turns out to be my mate there is no way I am going to accept it. I deserve a mature Luna, Aria is beautiful for a young girl but she is young and incapable of being at the head of a pack and by my side."

"You're forgetting something my friend, even if you reject her, she has to accept your rejection and I don't see that happening. She may not even know that, that isn't something that many people know since it is almost taboo to reject your mate, well unless you're an alpha or a royal." 

"I will make her accept the rejection, or I will kill her. I will not have her as future Luna of this pack."

BACK TO CURRENT DAY

After I heard that conversation I really hoped that all Aria had to deal with was a little bit of heartbreak from Tyler not being her mate, but I have this sense that isn't going to be the case. Where Aria's family are guardians for the pack, my family is seers. We can sometimes see the future, which is helpful in battle but in this case I just knew things were going to go badly for my friend. And I couldn't bring myself to tell her what I had heard.
