Chapter 22
Aiden gave Megan a questioning glance as she got in the car; she still hadn’t explained to him what was going on with Lynn. She would in her own time, so he didn't push it. He hoped she would be smart and not put herself or anyone else in danger. Megan could feel his worry, and she grabbed his hand and squeezed it reassuringly before putting the car in gear.
"Don't worry, this will work. Besides, we’ll all be watching each other's backs. There should be no possibility of anything going wrong. I need to work out a few details, and I'd rather talk to everybody at one time. Can you be patient until we get to the farm?"
"Of course, I trust your judgment, but don't forget the human factor. You can't anticipate what Zucker will do when he's cornered."
