Prepared for What?

Athena's POV

Every wolf has to learn about the Moon Goddess because she is the real reason we are even here. Living. I read about her powers while learning about her so before I head back to the pack house I wanted to try something. I went deep into the forest making sure nobody is around and not to be in rogue territory. I stood there and just started to channel the energies around me.

I look at the dirt, sticks, and rocks on the ground and started to build a standing circle with them, then I just stare into the circle and imagine my bedroom at the pack house, and about thirty seconds later my room was right in the circle.

I can't believe I just made a teleport. I stepped into it and right when I turned around the teleport was gone, and I was just standing in my room. Right when I was about to open my door I heard a knock.

"Athena, it's me Kylo. Open the door please." Kylo says.

I open the door eagerly, without showing it. Kylo's weird ways can't bring down the news I'm about to tell him.

"What are you so happy about? I thought you were mad earlier." Kylo asks, noticing my happiness.

"You can see I'm happy, I thought I was hiding it." I said thinking I was content.

Kylo walks in and closes the door, "I'm your mate and the soon-to-be Alpha King, I know how you feel all the time. Now what's going on?"

"I remembered what that rogue said earlier. About Marco wanting me for my power, so I went out to search for some answers and I indeed have powers." I say trying to hide my eagerness.

"Okay, but what kind of powers, like witch powers?" Kylo asks

"I have the Goddesses Touch." I say, and Kylo's eyes widen.

He comes over, grabs my shoulders, and sits me and him on the bed. "Athena, this is big. Like really big." Kylo says with worry in his eyes, and I understand.

"I know. I haven't told my family, only you. My only thing is how did Marco find out about it?" I say.

Kylo thinks for a moment. "The witch he used to take your memory away must've found out and told him. Do you know how to control this?"

I don't say anything, but I pick up the bed that we were sitting on. "That answers my question then." He chuckles, and my wolf goes insane as usual.

"Look, I'm sorry for ignoring you. I don't usually talk about Marco easily because it's my family's fault he is the way he is."

I grab his hand, "Then tell me so I can understand." I tell him.

STORY TELLING TIME (A LOT OF DIALOGUE)!!!!!!

"Well, around when I found out about Marco when I was 5 he was 7," Kylo started. "We always fought ever since we met. But dad always took my side on everything because to him Marco was the unwanted child. My dad said that your mate makes you weak, and it's better to have a mistress as your wife and pack's luna. Mates make you weak and nothing good ever comes from them." He stop to clear his throat.

"Marco was my dad's mate child, and I was my dad wife/mistress child, and I was the one he wanted. When I was growing up my dad only trained me and Marco watched me and Koda train with my dad day and night. One day when I was 12 and Marco was 14, Marco started to get mad at our father and I got mad because he had no right to because he wasn't even wanted. Then, Marco said that he would be the better King and I just spiraled out and we fought. I had his throat in my hands and neither my dad or Koda could get me off of him. It wasn't until he wasn't breathing I even let go. Now I just feel so bad about it, but I never looked back. To make sure no one knew Koda separated from training to be my beta to being on the council for a while, but now he's back."

I didn't know what to say to him, I was confused, and kind of understood Marco's wrath.

"My dad buried him and since he is alive today he obviously didn't die." Kylo finished

STORY TIME ENDS

Kylo starts to cry and buries his face in my neck.

"Kylo, I can never understand your reasons, but I believe in second chances and forgiveness. Marco might not, but we just have to make a plan." I say as my shoulder gets wet.

My wolf can feel Kylo's cries and then I started to cry.

"I wish I could apologize. After I met you Athena and found out you were my mate, I realized how wrong my dad was. About everything." Kylo manage to get out. "He doesn't know anything about you, and I'm scared he'll kill you once he finds out about you Athena." Kylo looks at me now, staring deep into my eyes, "I can't let either of them take you away from me." He finishes, and all I could do was hug him.
