The Great Escape

Demi(Athena's) POV

Now I've been sleeping in this bed for the past year and I know Marco is a light sleeper. If I make the slightest move he will wake up, but let me see if this will work. 

I moved and as expected he woke up and wrapped his arm around my waist. "Where you going?" He asked with his eyes still closed. "I'm thirsty, I was about to go to the kitchen. Do you want anything?" I asked fast trying to make sure he keeps his sleepiness. He shakes his head and turns around releasing me. 

Before I went to bed I put a set of clothes I could change into with money in the pockets under the kitchen sink. Once I got downstairs I changed in the food pantry and turned the sink on. I wanted to make sure that if Marc could hear me then this would seem real. I was hot and splashed some water on me. I got this.

There is a doggy door facing the woods in the back of the house. The door is usually for wolves who didn't have clothes to change into, to come in without shifting back to human form. I crawled out and looked around to make sure nobody was around. Once I was clear I headed for the woods. 

Once I was in the woods I look back to the house looking at the window of my former bedroom and a see a shadow. It was there for a split second and then it was gone. I had an adrenaline boost and ran faster. I took this as my head start and flew like lightning. I saw a gate ahead which I assumed was the boundary, but as soon as I saw the gate I heard other footsteps. Marco was on my left, and Jazzy on my right, more were behind me. I was running faster than them, but then I heard bones cracking. All of them shifted. 

I saw both Marco and Jazzy getting ready to attack, so when they jump towards me I sped up just enough for them to crash into each other, causing everybody else behind me to crash into them. This gave me time to climb over the gate, I fell after getting over the gate. I heard footsteps running towards me and when I look back into the woods Marco and the others were gone. 

I turned back to the footsteps and flashlights were all in my face. As I was about to get up I was met with a needle in my neck, then I blacked out.

*Three hours later* 

I was woken up by boiling hot water being thrown on me. "AHHHH!!!!" Was all I could get out.

"Oh yay, your up." Says a man with a creepy smile, "I'd like to make this a short process, so answer my questions accordingly." Another man enters the room and hangs me by my wrists from the ceiling.

"Who are you, rogue?" 

"I'm Demi Miles. I swear I don't know anything about rogues, I'd just ran away." I got out of my mouth before he cut me off.

"Listen sweetheart, I know you're a rogue. You smell just like em'. Next question, what does your alpha want from this kingdom?"

"I don't know. I'm telling you everything I know."

Whip*

"AHHH!!" I cry out.

"Wrong answer. Let me make sure you heard me. What does your alpha want with the kingdom?" I hear his voice boom. 

"I don't--"

"AHHHHH!! PLEASE!!!!"

He was about to say something when a man cam e in telling him that the 'boss man' was here. 

"Sorry to cut this short sweetie, but fair warning, you haven't felt pain yet." He left and I heard the door close then open again. I could tell two people were in the room. 

"Turn her around. I want to see her pain." A guy step towards me and unchained my hands. He let me fall to the ground before picking me up to see his boss. After he picked me up I heard a gasp. 

"OH MY GOD! ATHENA?!?!" He takes me from the guys hand, but I wince because I was literally just whipped a minute ago. He laid me on my side and put a cover over me (my shirt was off).

"GO GET A DOCTOR DAMNIT!" The guy ran out and a few seconds later a woman in a lab coat came in. I was in too much pain to stay awake, so my eyes just slowly closed and I was out, yet again.
