Demi's(Athena) POV
I've been here for year now with Marco and it's been magical. Though he hasn't marked me yet, I think I can wait. I've been hesitant myself because I've been(and this is going to sound funny) seeing things. Like in my dreams. You would think that it would be vague and just go away, but it stuck. My wolf doesn't want Marc because it's not our true mate, but she isn't in control. I actually thinks she hates Marc because of these dreams, but like I said she isn't in control.
I was going to tell Marco, but he has enough on his plate. "What you thinking about?" I look over to see Jazzy, one of the warriors here.
"Nothing just thinking abo--"
"About Marco?" She asked, really finishing my sentence. I just smile. "I don't know what's wrong with me, but I feel like I'm in euphoria anytime I'm around him." As I said that Marco walks through the door and walks right towards me.
"Come with me, I want to show you something." He smiles down at me with his hand out and I grab it. As we were about to enter the woods he covers my eyes and we then walk slowly until we just stop.
"What are you doing Marc?" I asks smiling through my own teeth.
"Take your mask off." He says in a husky voice. I open my eyes and I see Marc with his shirt off and with flowers all around us. "What is all of this?" I ask in awe.
"Demi I've been waiting for too long, and now I know I'm ready." He pauses, "To make you luna of the pack." My eyes widen and my breath becomes shaky. I sit on the blanket he laid out. "If it's too soon just tell me and I can call all of this off."
"No, I love it!" I jump up right into his arms. He pulls back and looks at me. "Ready to run?" I nodded my head and we both strip.
We both shift to our wolves and run as fast as we can. I felt something a few minutes in the run and I just fall down.
Flashback*
" Bring me their heads! Leaver her to me" Marco says right before he shifts. I run into the woods as fast as I can, but my attempt to escape was unsuccessful as Marco swipes my feet under me. We both growl at each other and he attacks me. We both go at it until he has me down on the ground by my throat.
"I didn't expect this from you dear, but never fret, you will still be mine. Love that kingdom as long as you want, but soon you'll be revealed to the truth." After he said that I passed out.
A few names popped in my head.
Cal, Koda, Kylo, and Carter.
Flashback end*
I wake up to my human form and Marco naked on top of me. I smile up at him not trying to show my fear and he helps me up back to our clothes.
"What happened back their Demi?"
"I honestly don't know. I have been working harder lately with my training." I say with a bit of unintentional shakiness in my voice. My wolf telling me to run.
He puts his hand on my forehead and smiles. "Yeah you need to be well rested. We'll continue this tomorrow." He kisses me and takes my hand. We get back into the house and I tell Marco that I'm going to take a shower.
"What is going on?" Asks Adira
"I don't know, but that seemed too real to be a dream." I answer.
"We have to find answers." Adira says stating the obvious.
"I think I have an idea, but it's risky as hell. I'm going to escape tonight and run."
"Run where? You don't even know where you are. We've only known this place." This is true.
"Remember the boundary outside the pack lands where Marco told me not to cross because it's dangerous for our kind? I think that has something to do with what I saw and I'm just going to keep running until I find myself somewhere safe. We can't trust Marc, at least for right now."
"OR LIKE EVER ATHENA!" Wait what? "Who is Athena?" I ask.
"I don't know it just came out, but lets get this plan in motion shall we?"
