Marco's POV (One month ago)
"You really want to do this Marc?" Teressa, my witch friend, asked.
"Yes, I'm positive. I'll giver her a story, I want her to be mine." I knew what I was asking for, Demi's power and my ruling, we'd be the perfect mates. I'm not going to mark her though. I'd rather it be still my life.
Teressa cased the spell and told me to say what I wanted her to remember when she woke up. So, I bend down to her ear and say, "Your name is Demi Miles, and you came to my pack for refuge from the kingdom. You trained all your life to become a warrior and won't let anyone get in your way." With that I back away and a few seconds later she woke up.
"Ugh, my head hurts." She stirs around the table to where her feet are dangling from the table. I walk up to her. "You're fine. You just took a hard fall." She looks at me confused. "Who are you exactly?" I grab hold of her hand gently and whisper in her ear, "I'm your soon to be mate my love."
Cal's POV
We ran. As fast as we could, and made it just passed the point were rogues couldn't. Once we made it to the council I spotted Koda immediately, and bark for his attention. He turn to us and shouted for somebody to get some clothes.
Once we got dressed we told Koda what happened. "She told us that Marco was going to go after her instead of us, and she knew that the rogues weren't going to catch us."
"This isn't all to bad, but bad. I know Athena won't break, she has that stubborness, but Marco is unpredictable. I'll call the alpha and see what our next move will be." And Koda sprinted out to his car.
"f**k! We should've stayed with Athena." I hear Cal panicing beside me.
"Athena is stronger than all 4 of us combined," I start. "and if I know anything about her, it's that she wouldn't want us to give up on her. Now if Koda can't do anything, we will." I wasn't going to give up on Athena because she worked day and night to help me get to where I am. Now all I have to do now is fight for her.
Kylo's POV
I was outside training when I see Koda running through other people training outside towards me.
He was out of breath when he reached me. "I thought we weren't having another coronation planning until next week. I don't feel like going throug--"
"It's about the mission. We got a problem." He catches his breath as I look at him confused.
"What do you mean the reports said that they got in. What could've gone wrong?" I asked.
"Marco Lewnett is the alpha of the rogues. And Athena, the mission's head, was captured in the process, helping the other 4 escape." I jump at the name Marco Lewnett.
"I need to call my father, meet me in my office in 10." I rush up to my office and call my dad.
"Son? Nice to hear you call me for once." He chuckled
"Marco Lewnett! Marco is the alpha of the rogues." I don't hear him say anything.
"If that's the case then this feud between the rogues and us will result in war." I roll my eyes.
"Don't you think I know that! How is this even possible. He died in front of me, I saw it."
"I don't know how, but just give me time to figure this out ok. Don't do anything stupid until I test out a theory." He hangs up the phone and I throw it to the wall.
I meet with Koda in my office fuming from the conversation I just had with my dad. "So what now Koda?"
"I don't know, honestly. Last time we all knew or thought that Marco was dead, and only few knew about what really happened. What did your dad say?"
"He's cooking up a theory or something, I don't know. But I think I know what he's doing."
"Witches!" Koda jumped up from the chair.
"Exactly. But who? Obviously somebody who doesn't like the kingdom, but that's a lot."
Looks like I got a lot of work to do.
