Here We Are

Athena's POV

It wasn't a long drive. It probably took a good 30 minutes for us to drive into the city and make it to this big house. But this definitely isn't a house, more like a castle. It was an elegant cream color, with pillars holding balconies all over. Big bay windows with amazing window seals. Honestly it was something out of a fantasy.

Koda came over and opened my door and took my hand. We walked to the front door and he knocked. The door swung open and a woman in a traditional maid outfit opened the door. I smelled something sweet, but decided it was something freshly baked.

"Good afternoon Beta Koda. Alpha Kylo is waiting for you in his office." The lady said while gesturing us inside. 

I walked in after Koda leading us up these fancy stairs, "Why does one person need all of this?" I say in my head. 

Taking a turn here and there, the sweet smell got stronger, and we end up at a doubled door room. Inside it looked like a whole apartment. I'm not lying, like literally 3 sofa sets in one room. I honestly couldn't really focus on anything once I really entered the room. I just felt something come over me. Like the smell in the air became a heavenly spring.

I walk past Koda entering the room and look around.

"You okay there Athena?" Koda asked.

"Yea, I'm fine. Who are suppose to be meeting here again?" I asked with an unnoticeable shakiness in my voice.

Before Koda could answer, the door swings open again, and a man who looks could make anything pass out. I felt my stomach clench, but not in a bad way. I caught myself staring at him until we are all sitting down. I had to pull myself together because it seems he doesn't sense the same thing I'm sensing.

"Alpha, as mentioned before this is Athena Carter. She was the head of mission 5-04." Koda gave him the basics. All the alpha did was sign.

"Okay so I think I just need to get to it," He started. "Do you remember anything from when you were with the rogues?" He asked looking at me frustrated. Why is he like that to me? I just got here.

 "I don't remember anything before I went to the pack. All I remember was that I was Demi Miles and that I was running away from the alpha king. Marc made sure that I resented the alpha king." I finish my sentence.

"Then why are you here? If Marco told you about me, why sit here in the same room?" He asked.

"Well I had these dreams that seemed too real to be fake. I took my wolf's word and escaped, and by them chasing me to the boundary, I assumed my dreams were real." I say, tears threatening to leave my eyes, but I held them in.

"Koda exit the room please." The alpha says out of nowhere. 

Koda looks shocked, but does as he is told.

I stand, "If you want me to leave I can go as---" 

"Did I ask you to leave?" The alpha cut me off. The booming in his voice made me sit back down. "I want you to stay here."

"Um, I don't think that's a good idea. I think you should know that----"

"I already know. I could smell you through my house." Why does he keep cutting me off?!

"I have a witch who is going to come over tomorrow to give you back your memories at once. I don't feel like waiting as you drive here. I need to know what you know now." He said with finality in his voice. 

I stand, not taking anymore of his asshole s**t, "Can my parents and Cal come at least. I want them to be there."

"No."

"Why not? It's just 3 people." I ask with a lot of sass. He was quiet, "You have no reason do you?"

He walked to the door and before he left he said, "Only 3 people. That's it." And with that the door slammed and I was left in the room by myself.
