"But you don't understand, please let me explain" I pleaded,
"why should we, your trying to kill us" Damien shouted. Diana clutched his hand before nodding. "Please" I said again. Ryder crossed his arms and nodded.
"Fine, tell us why you are trying to kill us" he commanded. Here we go, the whole truth.
"Wait can Lucy hear all this as well?" I asked.
"She deserves to know the truth about her sister as well" Diana told Damien.
He nodded, and Diana left to fetch her when she came back they sat down ready for me to explain.
"I didn't choose this life, I had no choice, so this is how I became a bad person. When I was 6 my mum died as you all know. At the time I was just living with Lucy and my dad but then Lucy left, and I had no one. My dad became an alcoholic and then starting gambling, he lost all our money" I said.
"What's this stupid sob story got to do with anything?" Ryder asked harshly.
"It has everything to do with it, so shut up and listen, when we became poor my dad sold me to three Russian men who he owed money to, so it settled the debt. I lived with them for 3 years, while I was with them, I got abused and.... Uh... Raped" I started saying again.
I saw Diana's and Lucy's eyes filled with tears. "Then I was rescued by the Italian gang Bandito. At the time I was 13, they brought me up to fight, kill and do missions, which I have never failed one. I have always thought that we were the good guys, only killing people that hurt others like them Russians did to me, but I was wrong. We were the bad guys and I only realised that when they sent me on a mission to get close to Ryder, so I could find out information about you Damien but then...we became friends and I started liking him." I huffed while Ryder just looked away with sadness.
"He then brought me here one night and then I met Diana. She was another reason that convinced me that I was wrong all along. After they beat up Ryder, I went back to them and it turned out Antonio was pretending to like me so that I didn't fall for Ryder. They have been lying to me and I wanted to help you which is why I have been doing it secretly. I have persuaded Matteo into helping me help you and destroying them. I am slowly turning the gang members against Antonio and Giovanni who have been lying to all of us. I have found information that Giovanni is leaving the gang to Antonio when it's a rule that it's left to their son." I said hoping I was convincing them to believe I was really trying to help them.
"Giovanni doesn't have a son so what is that proving?" Damien asked.
"But he does! Leonardo is his son, so it should be left to him. No one knows about Leonardo because Giovanni said it was to keep him safe, but we all know Giovanni is ashamed of him and wished Antonio was his real son. That's why me and Matteo were going to use that to get Leonardo on our side. I needed to pretend that I was still on their side, so I can get information to help me destroy them, but I had to keep living with you to keep them thinking that I'm on their side, so they trust me. I want to help you, I was and I am. Please you must understand that I'm on your side. I would never want to kill any of you especially because you’re my family. Please!" I finished saying.
Diana quickly got up and hugged me.
"Darling I had no idea, I'm sorry" she whispered.
She released me, and Lucy held her in a hug. Ryder had moved, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
"Why should we believe you?" Damien asked
"I just told you the whole truth about everything, if I was on their side would I tell you their secrets and my plans. I have finally found Lucy and Diana, I would do anything to keep them, I never want to lose them again. If you must kill me then fine but please keep them alive! I really wanted to help you. I have messed up everything in life, I just wanted to make this right" I explained. He looked at the ground then back at me.
"I have made my decision, we are going to have to......"
