'My place' I replied.

He sent me home and drove off. I dragged myself to bed and pulled the soft covers over me still in dirty clothes. I woke up pretty late. First I freshen up, wore new clothes then headed down. I was greeted by a fuming father and Noah sitting across him. Did he spill the beans, sure he did. It is in his nature.

It is always like this. This is his method to manupulate me to do things i dont like.

' Liam is it true that you were sleeping on a bar totally wasted all alone ' my dad yelled.

I shrugged it off and took a seat beside Noah.

'I know you will never learn, and it is a waste of my energy. I have some important meeting to attend so i will be leaving. Noah are you staying overnight?'

'No sir, I have few urgent works at office '

'Ok Noah take care then'

'Are you hungry?. I can cook you something ' Noah asked

I was indeed very hungry so I nodded a yes.

Noah is a pretty good cook. I watched him cooking then arranged the table for two.After we finish meal he stayed for a while watching tv and cuddling on the couch. He said good bye and left before lunch.

In the evening, a large number of guests gathered in the hall. I was taken a back by the huge crowd. I wore a beautifull dark blue suit with matching pants. Then I styled my hair a bit and i wore my favourite lapel pin which is gold in the shape of a eagle. It is a gift from Noah on our anniversary that I chrish it so much.

I came down and as the host I greeted all the guests and accepted their gifts. It been few hours that the party has started and each guest had a satisfying look. Some were taking drinks, some were chit chatting and others were dancing, everybody were enjoying in there own way. Literally everything was going smooth untill Raven and stephen came in view.

Raven came to me and offered me a drink which i refused numerous times, then he crushed my hand till it turn blue and purple and went away.

Stephen was also among the crowd, gladly he didnt make any scene.

Party was coming to an end and my dad went to the stage to speak to the guests. He invited me to the stage after introducing me as the next heir to his family buisness. I straightened my clothes a bit and walked to the stage slowly. I was sweating allover, i hadnt speak to such a big audience in my entire life and my whole body became sticky with sweat.

I cleared my mouth to speak when several buckets of cold water were splashed over and over on me. I shivered due to the sudden coldness. I looked everywhere to see the culprit. All i could see were few empty buckets on floor near stairs where raven and his friends were standing giving me a mocking smile. Stephen was among the crowd and I could see him enjoying the scene infront, laughing his ass off.

I wanted to facefalm, run and hide in my room. But I couldnt do such infront of my dad. Even my natural stammering became much worse due to the shivering and me being nervous. After a short time, from the looks of the guests i can clearly see they have started to doubt my ability. I eneded my short introduction thanking the guests.

I can see a satisfied look in stephen. My dad was looking at me like im totally useless shaking his head. When i looked over the shoulder i saw Noah. He has been standing at the back which is why i didnt spot him till now. He gave me a thumbs up. I smiled back.

Soon the guests left and the party came to an over. I stayed with Noah in my room after my terible speech all this while since i was reluctant to move out. Worried that i might get sick he was drying off my hair. Since Noah offered to stay overnight i offered him one of my clothes.

Later Noah went inside the bathroom freshen up and I sat on my bed. Soon drifted to a sleep. I jolted awake in the middle of night when I heard my name being called from down floor. Noah was still inside the bathroom that proves I didnt sleep more than 30 minutes.

While descending the stairs I could hear TV badmouthing about todays party and that the future of the company is in danger in the hands of the newly appointed Ceo which is me. My dad was ragging with anger that he threw the remote on the floor soon after he see me. I didnt take my eyes off the floor and kept my head low all the time fearing he might aswell beat the hell out of me.

'Now there is now way out and im not in good shape to work anymore and here you are proving to be useless infront of the whole country.

I decide your everything from now on, i dont want any mistakes. We speed your marriage with Noah and he will takeover in your place. And you stay out of it for god damn a year or two. Am i clear ?

I nodded. 'Now leave, I need to discuss the engagement with camerons and get them agreed.

my dad said sitting on the couch his hand on his chin. Noah must have come freshen up now, I turned back to tell Noah about the sudden decision, but he was just there behind me and he was smiling. May be he has no objections either. Either way I am ok, may be i should quit the idea of taking over. But Noah is already busy with his own buisness but seems like he dont mind.

Noah will be staying another night.Early morning, I arrived at the city book shop to check on some newly released updates of some magazines i am currently reading. I am a usuall customer here , the old lady quickly recognized me. 'are you looking for the new release' , 'it is pretty late this time , im sorry you will have to come back another day. Perhaps i can call you when the new release is available, if you dont mind you can give me your number. 'okay' I thanked the lady and just after i came out the shop my phone started beeping. I took out my phone from my back pockets and it was dad dialing.

'hi dad'

'Where are you ? he yelled at me. 'me and your mom searched you literally all corners in the house but you were nowhere around. Like some lost puppy dont you have manners to tell at least a servant when you go out.'

'dad i just came to the book shop, what is the hurry'

'hurry ? ' ' Ask stepens , you come back here quick'

Why stephens. I hurried back but it took me 40 minutes sharp to get back home.

'Because of you, after all these years now i might have to cut ties with cameron ,they were my friends for years'

dad yelled

'So do i' i yelled back , i was getting irritated. Am i any difference. litteraly my fiance is a cameron. and why we are cutting ties with them. Did they not like the marriage now that they've seen me on Tv. I was in a roller coaster of thoughts, then my mum started speaking.

'Baby Stephens called us, they are wishing to get you married to stepen , their son. You are in the same class the way we heard from them. May be you are friends already. I know this is pretty sudden and you are already having a fiance. But they are threatening us with our company. Considering what happened yesterday all the shareholders are in against of you and our company might aswell go bankrupt if we dont agree. '

'What' I interupted difficult to digest anything i was.hearing.

'Where is Noah ?'

'I knew it right , you are totally useless. I might aswell lose all my ties with camerons thanks to you' my dad spat again.

' Hell, i dont like stephens either, and i will never do this marriage'

'you have no saying here. go back to your room useless brat. Atleast learn some house cores so you can impress the stepens. '

I dashed back to my room and locked the door.

From what I have heard Stephens have newly entered the shoe industry in which we are pioneers and may be interested in merging the companies. But there are many ways for merging or acqusition. When they find such method, they will lose interest in this weird arrangement. Till then.

I came out to find Noah. He was in the balcony sitting in a corner with a beer on his one hand with his eyes closed. I seated next to him.

'Noah , are you awake? '
