chapter 6 the drowning tide

353 Words
With the Sun gone and the world plunged into eternal darkness, Arinos moved toward his next target: Sobrius, the God of the Waters. The cold, pitch-black skies reflected off the churning, violent ocean of the Water Realm as Arinos arrived, his Primordial God Armor glowing with the stolen solar heat of Stalin. Sobrius rose from the abyss, riding a massive, swirling column of black ocean water. In his hands, he held a massive three-pronged trident forged from compressed deep-sea ice. "You extinguished the Sun, Arinos," Sobrius echoed, his voice sounding like roaring rapids. "But in my waters, your flame will drown!" Sobrius thrust his trident forward, unleashing thousands of lethal ice spears moving faster than sound. Arinos stood his ground, raising his gauntlet to release a blast of Stalin's absorbed solar fire. The intense heat instantly vaporized the ice spears into thick clouds of boiling steam. Through the mist, Sobrius struck, thrusting his trident straight toward Arinos's chest. Arinos caught the frozen prongs with his bare armored hand, stopping the attack instantly. Sobrius gasped as the intense heat radiating from Arinos's hand began to c***k and melt the ice trident. Channeling the raw, crushing force of the Primordial Giants, Arinos shattered the trident to pieces. Before Sobrius could retreat into the deep water, Arinos lunged forward, grabbing the God of Waters by the neck. Sobrius tried to summon pressurized water jets to blast Arinos away, but Arinos's grip only tightened. With a cold, ruthless glare, Arinos unleashed a wave of divine war-force directly into Sobrius, crushing his core and ending the Water God's life on the spot. The moment Sobrius breathed his last, the balance of the ocean completely shattered. Without its divine ruler to hold it back, the entire sea rose up into a monstrous, world-ending tsunami. A wave thousands of feet tall surged across the horizon, swallowing continents and drowning the dark world in catastrophic floods. Amidst the roaring, chaotic waters, Arinos absorbed Sobrius's divine power, his armor adapting to the dark ocean depths as he set his sights on the next target.
