“Hi Katie, this is Olivia Humphrey from Mayor Ramsey’s office. How are you?”
“Oh, hello, Ms. Humphrey. I’m well. I wasn’t expecting a call from you,” the sweet voice said into my ear.
I smiled. “I know. And I realize you’re busy. I was wondering if I could set up a time to come see you. We have a sponsor for the Easter Egg Hunt, and the owner of the company wanted to see the center.”
Pages flipped as she talked. “Definitely. We’d love to have you both. During the day of course. Um, is there a date or time that will work best?”
“Honestly, I’m not sure. He didn’t give me his schedule. Can you give me a few options and I’ll ask what will work?”
