{Imogen’s POV} I could hear someone coming in the hall, their footsteps growing louder and louder. They kept trying to open the door, until finally a loud thud sounded in the room, and it opened. I ran to the wall, trying to make myself smaller to no avail. “Please.. please don’t hurt me!” I cried out. My body trembling, as I flinched, crouching down and covering my ears with my hands, closing my eyes tight. “I’m sorry.. I don’t know what you want, just please, don’t hurt me again!” I whimpered. I felt a soft hand on my head, before a different voice, a different accent caught my attention. Imogen, it’s me.. I’d never hurt you!” I turned, trying to keep as far in the corner as I could. “Get these chains off of her!” I felt someone grab my chains, and I closed my eyes tight. Then the sound of metal against metal, then for the first time in 10 years, the chains fell to the floor, my wrists and ankles were free. I opened my eyes, looking around the room, I could see an older man with auburn hair, and pale blue eyes. Two younger men stood on either side of him, one had fire red hair, and pale blue eyes, while the other had auburn hair and pale green eyes. They were all three staring at me. I could see a pair of blonde men, one with blue eyes, one with brown eyes as they looked me over. They held flashlights, and guns in their hands. My anxiety spiked, and as they all turned to speak to one another I saw this as my chance, I bolted past them, running out into the hallway, and finding a staircase. I ran up it, and out into a house, I could see a light through a glass doorway, and rushed outside. I could hear people scrambling behind me, but my feet couldn’t move, as I felt grass under them. I completely froze looking out around me, it was a garden, beautiful bright colored flowers surrounded me, the light was so bright I felt it burning my eyes and my skin, but I couldn’t bring myself to care. It was incredible, I felt tears pricking in my eyes before sliding down my cheeks. The doors opened behind me, but my eyes stayed on the garden, on the fountain in the center, the water splashing out of the top. “Imogen.. I know you’re scared, but please don’t run.” I could hear the man from before speaking. I saw him, and the two guys with red hair move around me, until all three of them stood in front of me. “It’s so pretty..” I whimpered, dropping to my knees, I ran my hands through the grass and smiled bitterly. Those four walls were my home for so long, but not anymore, I was free. “Imogen.. do you remember us?” The man asked, kneeling down on the grass beside me. I looked up at him reluctantly, and studied his features. He looked familiar.. in a far off way, something that I couldn’t place. I shook my head, and looked back to the grass. “Imogen, it’s me, your da.. and these are two of your brothers.. Finn and Rory..” he said. “Y-You’re the one they called Teagan?” I asked, my eyes darting back to him. His eyes turned sad, as he scanned them over me. “What do you mean?” He asked, his voice coming out a bit shaky. “They asked me about you..” I whimpered. “But I don’t know who you are..” I shook my head. “I don’t know.. I can’t remember..” I whispered. “I told them.. I didn’t know.. that I couldn’t remember.. they didn’t care.” My fingers dug into the dirt, my body shaking. “Imogen..” he said, his voice coming out shaky, and quiet. He placed his hand on my back, and I couldn’t help but scream internally. Those monsters hurt me in ways I’d never forget, and my body was still battered and bruised, but I didn’t flinch, I didn’t whine. I knew better, if I did.. they’d only hurt me more. It was the way my life had been for as long as I can remember. “Imogen I’m so sorry A stórín.. come on, let us take you home.” At the words my heart leapt into my throat. “Home?” I asked. “I have a home?”
