Captured Fate

Chapter 7

    When I opened my eyes, I was shocked to see Amber kneeling over me shouting for people to help. "Amber?" she looked down at me and pulled me into a hug, leaving me feeling very confused. "Thank goddess, Luna Amara I came here to tell you the Lana and Shelby were planning to, and I quote, get rid of you, I thought I was too late are you okay? What happened?" Just then Brian burst into my eye frame, "What the hell is going on here?" "Alpha, I came to warn the luna that Shelby and Lana had planned to do something to her.. tonight." "If that's the case then why are you kneeling over her while she is on the floor?!" I waved my hands at him, "I had a nightmare and woke up not being able to breathe, Amber came through the door just as everything went black. Amber, how long was I out for?" Amber looked back at me, "Maybe a minute or so? I caught you just as you fell, I tried shaking you awake but you weren't responding so I started to shout for help." 

We can trust her

Okay, Leigha, I trust you

    "Amber, Brian, we need to talk in a more private place." I looked between the two of them and then at the door, Brian cleared his throat, "Okay, let's talk in my office." Amber helped me to my feet as we swiftly moved into Brian's office. As soon as we were all in his office I shut and locked the door to make sure nobody would walk in. "It wasn't just a nightmare, it was a memory." I looked at Brian but Amber said something before he did, "Luna what are you talking about?" "Please, just call me Amara. And I was held captive until recently I escaped and ended up here." She looked at me stunned and confused, Brian took this time to finally speak, "What memory are you talking about?" "When I was taken, my dad was driving and he saw something or someone on the road, then the car went tumbling down the side of a mountain and both of my parents were impaled by a tree branch, somebody came in from behind me and put something over my mouth and nose and everything went black." 

What is Lana and Shelby's plot?

    "What are Lana and Shelby plotting Amber?" I looked at her as she gulped, "They said that this would be your first shift and they were going to attack you when you were in the middle of shifting." I looked at Brian and his eyes glossed over, he nodded towards me and I unlocked the door. A few moments went by as I started to hear screams coming from down the hall. I opened the door and the screams got louder, Lana and Shelby were being dragged by their hair by two older women, along with the women dragging them, there were five gentlemen and three other women, I recognized two of the people as Elder Howard and Elder Kaitlyn, I bowed my head and stepped to the side.

    Both Brian and Amber bowed as they walked through the doors, Shelby and Lana still screaming, when they noticed Amber they stopped screaming, Shelby yelled, "YOU? YOU F*CKING TOLD THEM DIDN'T YOU?!" the woman who was holding Shelby by the hair let go and slapped her so hard she fell onto the ground. Elder Howard turned towards me, "Amara, these are the rest of the members of the elder council, elder Harley and elder Leane brought these two in," I bowed and they shook their heads offering me their hands to shake, "It is a pleasure to finally meet you miss Amara." elder Leane said with a soft smile. "The pleasure is all mine elder Leane." I waited for elder Howard to continue while flashing a small smile at everyone I was introduced to. There was elder Johnny, elder Tyler, elder Jeremy. elder Tasha, elder Timothy, and elder Laura. Elder Kaitlyn looked towards Brian but he only waved towards Amber. "Young lady, what is your name?" Amber looked nervous but that was expected since she was in front of the entire elder council, s**t even I was nervous. "My name is Amber." "Do you mind telling us what happened?" before AMber could even say a word Lana started screaming, "DON'T LISTEN TO HER! SHE'S A LIAR EVERYTHING SHE SAYS IS A LI-" elder Harley shut her up with a loud slap, knocking her to the floor, her jaw was out of place from the force of the slap, and I almost felt bad for her. 

    "Please continue miss Amber." elder Kaitlyn asked, "Well after the alpha announced that he found his mate and she would become our luna," she gestured to me, "Shelby and Lana started to go crazy and they watched our luna closely and heard talk from the omegas that she would be shifting for the first time tonight, they started to make a plan and confided in me that they were going to attack our luna while she was in the middle of shifting since the first shift is the longest, they wanted to get rid of her while she was caught off guard." The room was filled with gasps and then glares and growls. Elder Tasha stated, "Alpha Brian, I know this is your pack but if I may, these two girls either need to be banned or executed. You may either choose yourself or let you pack choose." Brian took in a deep breath, "With all due respect elder Tasha, I think my mate should get the decision, not me." He looked at me and elder Tasha and the others nodded, "Amara what do you think should be done?" 

    Before I could even talk, I felt myself being shoved to the back of my mind and Leigha came forward, "We will let the pack choose, but for the time being they go into the dungeon so that they do not cause us or anybody else harm." I didn't know Leigha could take over like that while I'm still human, as I got pushed towards the front of my mind again I noticed the elders were staring at me, dumbfounded by what they heard, "I believe my wolf spoke on her opinion and I fully support her." They nodded while looking between each other, "Brian please call for some guards to take these two to your dungeon." Brian nodded and his eyes glossed over, about two minutes later three guards came up and took away Shelby and Lana, the elders went to walk out of the room but I stopped them, "I'm sorry for the intrusion but I remember what happened when they took me." The Elders all sat around Brian's office table, before I could tell them anything elder Tyler asked, "Amara are you sure you want to do this with miss Amber in here?" I nodded, "Amber is the one who found me and caught me as I lost consciousness after I woke up. Leigha, my wolf, has been urging me to bring her into this. I do not know the reason but I trust my wolf." I sat down next to Brian and told the elders what had happened in detail. 

It's almost time

    I looked at the clock on Brian's desk after I was done telling them what happened, they were talking amongst themselves and I sighed, "Leigha says it's almost time for my shift, it is eleven fifteen. Amber, I do not know why but Leigha wants you there alongside the elders during my first shift." "Yes Luna, I will be there, would you like to leave now?" she asked me looking around the room, I could tell she felt more comfortable. "Yes let us all go into the clearing on the east side of the territory, it will give you and us lots of space." elder Howard said before I could say anything. I nodded and bowed my respects to all the elders.

[Amber's POV]

    I had no idea why Amara wanted me present for everything, but my wolf Jackie kept telling me to trust her so that's what I did. We made it to the clearing on the west side just before midnight,  we all got into our places and waited for the shifting process to begin, alpha Brian changed into his wolf to comfort her, he was the largest wolf in our pack, he was midnight black with silver eyes. We waited patiently just as she started to scream in agony, elder Kaitlyn calmly said, "Remember to let it just happen, don't fight it." After a moment or so her bones started to crack, and shape into her wolf, Her skin started to grow fur but I couldn't tell what color just yet. 

Shift Amber

     Jackie shouted at me in my mind, she never told me to shift like that, something wasn't right. Just as I started to let the shift happen I could see the luna's full wolf. She was almost as large as Brian's wolf Chaos, but she was white. She was f*cking white, only wolves of royalty were white, and it looked like she had a silver hue to her fur as well. I don't know what's going on but I could feel Jackie bowing to her. I looked around and could see the entire elder council in their wolf forms bowing down to her. Was our luna royalty? I have never seen the elders bow to anybody. Her wolf looked directly at Jackie and I, she had piercing diamond blue eyes that glowed against her white and silver-hued fur. She looked amazing she looked up and howled letting everyone in our pack know she has her wolf. The elders along with myself howled in return, we could hear howls from a distance, all of which came from our pack. Whoever Amara is, she is going to make a great, and powerful luna. I am beyond ecstatic that I will get to call her my luna.

[Amara's POV] 

    After I shifted and howled, the elders took their leave Amber, Brian, and I went running. Finally having Leigha out and running felt so freeing, we had stopped by a little lake pond thing I saw my reflection, or rather Leigha's reflection. She had piercing diamond blue eyes, and she has the most wonderful white coat with a silver hue. We finally know who we are, without a doubt. I just hope the pack accepts me and whoever had me captive was found. I retreated back and let Leigha have full free reign, by the time I got back in control the sun was already coming up and I was exhausted. I knew that I would probably be resting most of today, along with other members of the pack since we had more wolves come forward last night. The three of us grabbed the clothes we had placed in bags before we came out and got dressed before walking back to the packhouse. Brian and I said goodnight to Amber as she walked off towards her cottage that was right behind the packhouse. We walked inside and I let out a deep sigh.

    This next week will be long and stressful, between the whole situation with Lana and Shelby, and my upcoming Luna ceremony, and telling the pack who I really am, this was going to be a lot. I made my way up the stairs and I found myself stripping down to nothing and curling up on my bed to pass out. Just as I was about to fall asleep the door opened and closed again, I felt the bed sink in next to me and found myself inhaling the scent of the fresh forest, letting his arms enclose around me before drifting into a soft, deep sleep I heard him say, "I love you, Amara. I will do anything to protect you." It made me relax even more and that is when sleep finally overcame me.
