Meanwhile, Mark Avorn and Darrin Semp had landed back at the Army base. Both gave a sigh of relief to be back on American soil. The platoon was instructed to go to their barracks and not to make any phone calls until after debriefing the next day. The guys took showers and put away their things before going to the mess hall for a meal.
