CHAPTER 6
Taylor and Becky were on their way out of the building. It was quitting time, and they were ready to go pick up Dottie Sue and go home. When they left the elevator on the first floor, someone was leaving Andres’.
“Oh, my goodness!” exclaimed Becky. “Something smells delicious.”
“Yes, it does,” agreed Taylor sniffing the aroma.
“We could get some to go,” said Becky. “It would save us having to cook when we get home,”
Taylor grinned and turned toward the restaurant. “We will pick up a plate for Dottie Sue, also. She loves bar-b-que.”
The girls stopped inside the door, astonished to see the place so crowded. They saw the banner and looked over to where the Avorn party was seated.
“It looks like a celebration,” said Becky, “Maybe we should come by some other time.”
