Tentative Thread Pt. 4

       “f**k… I don’t know if I can do it.” I linked Cameron. Cameron said, “Even if you can’t…. I’m impressed she got into her car without you on top of her.” I growled, “I want her. I want to claim her, I want her screaming my name.” Cameron said, “MESSAGE received. No more details needed.” I watched her walk inside my restaurant. Susie did really well with not telling her who she was to me. Even though I could see her excitement from the window I was looking through from outside. Cameron groaned and linked me, “Now Reagan is linking me. She says she knows I’m here, and she wants to know what the hell the three of us cooked up with project cookie.” I laughed, “Well….” I cut myself off when Lexi said my name. Bolt purred. I rolled my eyes “REALLY BOLT?! She said my name, not yours.” Bolt said, “She said our name. She knows our name.” Cameron laughed at me in our link. We felt sorrow for our mate when she said both her parents were dead. I wanted to run into the restaurant and take her in my arms to comfort her. We sat outside listening to their conversation. When she said Ted told her she had to have s*x in that outfit I couldn’t stop my monstrous growl. The thought of someone else with their hands on her. Touching her in an intimate way... Cameron said, “Chase… calm down.” I growled, “NO ONE WILL TOUCH HER BUT ME! I WILL NOT watch another man put his hands on what’s mine! I’ll f*****g kill him.” Cameron said, “He is… fictitious at this point. She’s not trying to hook up with anyone. She merely mentioned what her friend said, and… come on she looks good in that dress.” I growled, “She looks gorgeous. I’ll kill anyone she tries to hook up with, Cameron. If anyone touches her… I’ll end them where they stand. I… I can’t watch that.” Cameron said, “Noted. Reagan heard you by the way. Not that anyone in the surrounding area didn’t hear you, but now she’s got a strong suspicion about what’s going on.” 

       Matt linked me, “Umm… what happened? The pack link is going crazy about your murderous roar. You know our pack knows it was you, right? We know what your angry growl sounds like.” I growled, “Your mate told mine to get f****d in her dress.” Matt laughed, “He doesn’t know.” I growled, “I’ll kill any man, who’s not Ted, that touches her. Anyone so much as TRIES to hook up with her tonight, and they are dead.” Matt said, “I don’t know how to explain to Ted… that she can’t hook up with people or bodies will drop.” I growled, “She could tell him herself because she’d meet me as I ripped them off of her. To kill them.” Matt said, “That is not a good first meeting story to tell your kids one day. I’d avoid that situation.” I said, “Get back to your date.” Matt said, “Don’t go on a killing spree. Ted and I haven’t gotten to the s*x portion of tonight’s date. Please let me have s*x with my mate before I have to stop you from killing people.” I replied, “Cameron is with me.” Matt said, “Oh… well in that case I bid you goodnight sir.” He closed our link. Bolt and I calmed down when Reagan told Lexi my pack and I helped her and Ted out. She said she’d send me flowers. Bolt was practically jumping with joy, “MATE WILL SEND US A NOTE!” I said, “I know.” Cameron and I smirked when Susie invited Lexi on a playdate. Cameron linked me, “She’s trying to make it so you can meet her.” I said, “I know. I haven’t told her why I can’t meet her only that Sophia won’t sign papers for me. Lexi is not human; she’d know who I was to her.” Cameron shrugged, “I think you could explain.” I said, “I don’t want to tell her I’m married. If she said the same to me, I’d kill a lot of people before I’d calmed down. I don’t want to put her through that.” Cameron nodded, “Maybe the princess got through to Sophia.” I linked my men to take Susie home so Reagan and Lexi could stay and talk longer if they wanted to.

        I was really proud when Lexi immediately put Susie behind her when she thought they were in danger. Cameron smiled, “She’s already a good Luna and sister to Susie.” I smiled, “She is.” I stiffened when Reagan said they were going to my club. “I meant for them to just drink here.” Cameron laughed, “This should be fun.” We ran to the club. We went to my office and turned on the security camera’s. I linked my men, “No one gets near Reagan or her friend. No one touches her friend, or I come out of this office and you will NOT like the result. Make sure they have fun.” Everyone linked back, “Yes, Alpha.” When the girls hit the dance floor my bouncers were having men bounced left and right. I told them not to let anyone near Lexi. Cameron stiffened when a guy got near Reagan. He growled but Lexi pulled Reagan towards her. Once our bouncers grabbed the guy Cameron left my office for several minutes. When he came back, I asked, “Punch anyone?” Cameron growled, “Fucker is a wolf. He should’ve known better. You are kicking a lot of people, specifically men, out of the club. Reagan has noticed.” I sighed, “If any guy touches her on the dance floor… I’ll lose it Cameron. I’ll kill them in this club. Right there on that dance floor. I have a tentative hold on my control right now.” Cameron nodded, “Alright.” Reagan led Lexi off the dance floor, thank the goddess. A guy at the bar said something that made Lexi angry. “I’ll kill him.” I told Cameron. My bouncers weren’t close enough to her because they’d been busy with two other men who wanted my mate. Everyone male in this damn club wanted her, and she… was not theirs. Then the guy touched her. I growled so loud it was good thing my office was soundproofed. Chase got in my face, “She handled it. The guy is down…. She just broke his wrist.” I growled, “He’s f*****g dead! HE PUT HANDS ON HER!” Cameron said, “Your guys have him.” I linked my bouncer, “Keep eyes on them.” The bouncer said, “Yes. Alpha. We are sorry he got to her. We have just been throwing so many out we weren’t close enough.” I said, “It’s not your fault.” 

        I linked the bouncer with the guy, “Bring him to the woods.” The bouncer was not surprised as he replied, “Yes, Alpha.”  Cameron and I walked outside. I was shaking with rage. This whole process was harder than I thought. I was so mad this guy touched my mate, partly because I couldn’t touch her, and he could. I smelled him before he got to me, “He’s a f*****g wolf. WHERE are everyone’s damn manners?” Cameron said nothing. The guy was thrown at me feet. The guy looked up, “Oh good… an Alpha.” I growled, “You put your hands on my mate. What did you say to upset her?” The guy gulped. I slammed him into the tree, “WHAT DID YOU SAY TO HER?” Cameron said, “You should just tell him. My brother is beyond reason at this point, and his Beta is otherwise engaged unable to calm him. Me I’m also and Alpha, and I’d also kick you f*****g ass.” The guy said, “She’s not marked man. I asked her to come back to my place. That dress she’s wearing says she wants a good time.” I punched him in the face, “She could be f*****g naked, and you don’t have right to put your hands on her. She can wear whatever she f*****g wants to. That doesn’t mean if she doesn’t want your attention you can put hands on her. Marked or not. This is YOUR fault not her damn clothes. This is MY area, and we respect women here. No matter who they are.” The wolf said, “She already broke my hand.” I said, “She didn’t break your neck.” Cameron sighed. The guy looked at me in shock, “You’re going to kill me?” I nodded, “Yes.” I snapped his neck. I linked my pack members to get his body out of here. “Get his wallet and information to my office. Matt and I will deal with this later.” Cameron said, “So… maybe you should just meet her Chase.” I said, “I want to, but I can’t Sophia is…” Cameron said, “As your brother, I’m worried you might kill your way to Sophia herself at this point.” I said, “I won’t…. Probably… I haven’t killed her yet. I’d say she’s safe.” Cameron said, “Sure….”

        Reagan and Lexi came out of the club. Lexi immediately turned to us. As if she was being pulled to me, she started walking towards us. Reagan was worried Lexi was going to be sick. I rolled my eyes, Lexi hadn’t drank that much. A car pulled up and a man got out calling her name. She turned instantly. I growled lowly. “Who the HELL is Heath?” I linked Cameron. He replied, “Reagan said it’s her brother.” I relaxed. He wasn’t going to hurt her then. Lexi got in the car. I shifted and took off. Cameron linked me, “Wait for me.” I said, “Reagan needs a ride.” He caught up to me, “Yes, one of my men is outside. He just put her in the car. I’m going to get it when I get home apparently.” The car Lexi was in suddenly pulled off the road. My heart stopped. Was he going to hurt her? Lexi tore out of the car arguing with her brother on the phone. They wanted to take her? “THEY CAN’T TAKE HER!” I linked Cameron. He whined, “That was very loud Chase.” I growled, “She’s not getting back in that car. They can’t hide her from me. I NEED to see her.” She mentioned Ted. Cameron and I exchanged looks. I ripped open my connection with Matt, “GET OUT OF TED’S PLACE! Lexi’s brother is trying to hide them because of the f*****g guy we already killed. For some reason… they don’t seem to know he’s dead already. Go to the pack house or go to a hotel in Alpha Conners territory. He has rooms ready and available for neighboring packs.” Matt groaned, “f**k WHO EVER THEY ARE! We are leaving. They won’t take him from me. I’ll rip them to pieces if they so much as TRY to take him from Chase. You’ve got Lexi? Ted is worried.” I said, “I’ve got her. Link me where you go.” Matt said, “We will be in Alpha Conners territory. I haven’t told my parents yet about being gay and having a male mate. Going to the pack house would let that cat out of the bag in… not the way I want to tell them.” I linked, “I’ll call Alpha Conners.” 

        Lexi told her brother she was faster than Isaiah. I evaluated the man driving her. He did not give any indication he was going to stop her. Which was good for his life expectancy. “They want to keep her hidden until Halloween… I can’t… Cameron I can’t not see her for that long. It’s already torture not being with her right now… to not see her….to lose her… I can’t.” Cameron said, “We will make sure someone is on her. They won’t take her big brother. We can keep her here.” I growled when Isaiah said this Ex of Lexi’s… Noah wanted her back around. “He needs to stick to the caterer and leave my f*****g mate alone or he’s dead.” Cameron sighed, “Yes, I know. We are very grim reaper about your mate” Lexi took off like a shot. I followed. Cameron was behind me. “Don’t lose her, Bolt.” Bolt growled, “MY f*****g NAME IS BOLT! I’M FAST! We won’t lose her.” Lexi was right. She was really fast. We managed to keep up. She was running then she just disappeared into thin air. “The f**k?” I linked Cameron. Cameron said, “I think she lives there. I think the princess did something to hide her house. I looked around, “I like it here.” Lexi appeared back out of thin air and screamed asking who I was. She must be able to smell me. I shifted back to myself. Everything in me wanted to run to her. Just as I was about to break free, she turned back in and disappeared. We heard her say, “I’m going crazy.” Cameron shifted back and put a hand on my back as tears fell from my face. “All I want is her. She knows I’m here. I can’t even go to her. I’m such an idiot.” Cameron said, “No chase. You aren’t.” I sat down to watch until she came out. “I feel like one. I should be in there with her.” Cameron sat down next to me where we kept watch making sure no one came to take Lexi. I called Alpha Conners letting him know Matt and Ted were in his area. He of course already knew. Nothing gets by him. I hung up and looked around the area. Lexi Scott was mine, and I’d be damned if someone hid her from me. I didn’t care who they were I’d stop them, even her brother. If whoever the f**k Noah was even tried… I’d rip his damn head of his shoulders.
