Amaza {Duncan} walked out of the library heads high. It was done, she had succeeded in successfully planting a seed of doubt in all the three characters she was mean to find, and to think she did all that in her first day, that was commending. All she has to do now was to get close to them, so close that they would reveal their secrets to her willingly, she had to become their 'friend'. Now that was the hard part, not for them but her. She didn't like talking to people now she has to befriend them, but this was for her mum, she would do anything for her mum. Duncan walked down the quiet hallway, the students were still in their respective classes but the school was scheduled to end in the next 20 minutes. She walked slowly across thinking how life would be like of she finally found her mother, her dad was great, but to have her mother with her would be perfect. She would have a perfect family again with her father and mother. "Look who it is, the new girl that pretends she isn't Duncan". Someone said sarcastically behind her. The turned around and saw a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes looking back at her. "Excuse me, who are you? And what do you mean by your statement?" Duncan said as she turned fully to face the girl. The girl was pretty no doubt but she lacked manners, manners Duncan would be happy to teach "Aren't you the new girl em Aliya, or something?" The girl asked as she stared her down. "I am she". Duncan replied staring back at her, she never backs down from a fight. "The girl that has got the whole school talking, am i right?" She asked crutinizing her throughtly. " I don't understand what your talking about". Pretending to be ignorant, Duncan replied in the most innocent way possible. " You really do look alot like that i***t Duncan". After a few seconds of crutinizing she said at last. " From what I've heard since I've been here, you were not one of the people who stood up against her" " No one stood up against her, I see your heard wrongly". " Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, my name's Lena, one of this school's top student". The girl, Lena said and brought but didn't want any acknowledgment, like a shake, or a hug. Duncan really didn't mind, the girl doesn't look like someone she would want to acknowledge anyways, she was only here for 3 people, only 3 people, no more, no less. " I know who you are, you where one of the first people I heard of when I stepped my foot into the school" " What did you hear about me? " Lena asked inquisitively. " I heard that, ....on the day of the attack you were hiding under your chair the entire time". Duncan said why laughing at her, she wanted her to feel embarrassed and it worked. " How dare you, I already told you nobody stood up to Duncan, everyone where just trying to save their head and so was I". Lena defended " But someone of your power could at least be one of the first people that left the hall when the indoor storm began, but no, a powerful person like you was hiding in your desk waiting to be saved". And that was it, Duncan had successfully removed the mask that Lena had worn inorder to approach her. Lena had wanted to pretend to be nice so she could get some information about her, so she could use it to haunt her as she had done to the other new students, but Duncan wasn't like the rest, she saw through her facade immediately. "How did you know that? I thought you said you were not at the welcoming party, and you were not Duncan, how then did you know? " Lena just had to be suspicious, everyone was on their toes that day so she was sure nobody noticed her, how did this new girl know. " Didn't I tell you that you were one of the famous topics in this school, I heard some students gossiping about it of course, but no need to worry, your secret is safe with me". By the time she was done talking, Lena face had already turned pale like a blank piece of paper. " I'll be leaving as you have nothing more to say to me, ...Bye" Duncan left the room feeling proud of herself, she had made one of the school's best student into a fool. She never heard any gossip about anything, all she had heard so far was that, Lena was a star student. She had seen her on the day of the party, hiding her head cowardly under her chair. As she was thinking about it she couldn't help but let out a laugh, it was amusing how Lena could stand before her and call herself one of the best students in this school, when she was so cowardly hiding on the day of the party. Duncan didn't realize she had started to laugh loudly and other students started to stare at her like she was crazy. When she realized she closed her mouth and walked away, a bit embarrassed. Since the first school day was over, she didn't want to spend even a minute more in the school so she got her things ready and headed towards the gate. She was about to leave when someone suddenly appeared behind her. She turned quickly and saw it was one of the boys, the one with beautiful black hair and eyes. "Leaving so soon Duncan?". The boy asked with something she couldn't pinpoint lurking in his eyes. "My name is not Duncan, it's Aliya, and if all of you haven't noticed Duncan is a boy's name". She stared back at him, but something in his eyes were silently challenging her and she couldn't help but look away. "I guess you picked a boy's name, so it would be hard to find you, I don't know your particular reason, if you could fool everybody into believing that you were not that crazy lunatic that attacked us on the day of the welcoming party, you can't fool me". The boy replied. So far he seemed to be the hardest to c***k. "Look her dude, I've already told you that I'm not Duncan it's not my job to make you believe, you can believe whatever you want, I don't care". Yes, she was one of the best liers she had seen in her life, it was a skill she developed after her mother disappeared, the only person she hadn't used the skill on was her father, and that's because he would know if she was lying. " So your trying to tell me, that I didn't see you at the dinner party that same night?". Raine asked. He couldn't believe that someone could lie so much, he had caught her but she keeps on her denial. He saw the clothes Duncan changed to that day, and they were the same clothes she wore to the party, and he was very sure this was the same girl at the party, he stared at her too much not to notice, why then was she lying, he had to get to the bottom of this. "I said that I arrived only yesterday, how then am I able to attend a dinner party when I wasn't in the country. Please don't make baseless and evidenceless accusations ". Duncan had it, she was tried of saying the same thing over again so she said the most reasonable thing she could in her anger. "If evidence is what you want, you shall get it, and very soon of I may add. We'll see tomorrow". Raine said and left. He was going to get to the bottom of this. Evidence is what she wants, evidence is what she shall get. Duncan thought she had successfully gotten rid of him, what she didn't know was that she had created a bigger problem for herself.
