1627 Words
"If that really wasn't you in the school a few days ago, then we could be friends. My name's Ann ". Ann said after confirming that she really wasn't Duncan. " Like I said before, my name's Aliya. I'm knew here". Duncan replied faking a smile. " Since the introductions are all done, do you want me to show you round the school? " " Yes, that would great. Thank you" " No problem, let's go" " Yes" Duncan followed Ann as she explained each and every door and where they lead to. " So, Aliya, are you staying in the boarding house? " " No. I'm a day student. What about you? " " I stay in the hostels". Ann replied. " Cool " " So, who's your father? " " Why does everyone ask that question around here? " Duncan asked turning around to look at Ann "Hmm, it's because ever since our new principal took over the school, er she doesn't accept just anyone anymore. It has to be people from respectable families. That's why I want to know which one your from" "I understand now. My family is a bit discreet so I don't think I can tell you that yet". Duncan said after hearing her reason for asking. She didn't like the being close to this girl for some reason, but she has no choice. To successfully investigate her, she needs to be her 'friend', at least for a short time. While Duncan had been lost in her thoughts, Ann kept on blabbing about other stuffs that she didn't even hear a word about. ".... And that's the all you need to know about our great school". That was when Duncan snapped back to reality. " Wait.. em.. what's the name of this school? ". Duncan asked as she saw Ann about to leave. She really had no idea. " You don't know? " Ann asked back " I know, but I just forgot". Duncan sharply answered back. " It's M.G.H" " What does it stand for? " " Magical Garfield High, some people don't know what it stands for, that's the reason some none powered are here. " " Wait, your powered? "Duncan said in a very surprised voice. She herself was shocked at her surprised her voice sounded. " Yes, I dabble in magic, what about you? ". Ann asked back. " I don't know, I came to this school to find out". Duncan replied as they continued walking. They both walked for a while before Ann had to go as class had already began. Duncan was given the opportunity to skip class the first day, to accustom herself to the place. She was walking while looking at her map so she would figure out where her locker was and she wasn't looking up "Bam!" A crash was heard. Duncan thought she crashed into a brick wall as what hitted her felt hard and she landed on her behind. She looked up immediately to see the wall but was surprised by the muscular looking boy she saw. She remembered him, he was at the welcoming party in both places, for the school, and the dinner. Raine was on his way to his next class when she felt someone bump into him, he looked down and saw the lady that been occuping his mind since the dinner party. 'What was she doing here? What does she want? Why here?' A lot of questions ran through his mind as her saw her. "What are you doing here?" He asked harshly "How is that your concern dude?" Duncan asked back " Don't you remember me?" Raine queried, he had started to doubt already as the girl expression was top nough. If she was pretending, she was good. "Have we met before that I'll remember you?" Duncan asked looking at him with the 'i don't know you' look" " Don't play this bullshit with me, Duncan. We saw at the school's welcoming party, and at the dinner party" " I never attended the school's welcoming party as I haven't arrived in the country then, I arrived a day ago". She had already planned her answers for every possible question she would be asked so lying was a piece of cake. "I don't what game you're playing, but I don't want to have anything to do with it". Raine then left Duncan standing there. 'What's his problem' Duncan asked herself. Then she shrugged it off and continued on her walk. She knew it would be harder to convince him than everyone else here because he had seen her at that dinner party, but she had to. This could be literally her only chance to be with her mother again. Duncan {Amaza} continued her day familiarizing herself with the school property. She went to the dining hall, the restrooms even the hostels to aquire more knowledge about the place. She wasn't stopped because most of the students were in their respective classes. She wandered around the school until she came in contact with the library. She saw the building fascinating as there were books on every corner, so she went it. The librarian was busy writing something so she didn't she Duncan go in, and it was a good thing for someone that hadn't gotten her ID card yet. She trailed her hands on the books slowly feeling the roughness on her hands until she came across a section 'History' As inquisitive as she was, she picked up the most old looking book in the section and started to read it. She became so engrossed in trading it that she didn't know when someone came to stand right in front of her watching her. ... Justin had just finished his class and wanted to go back to his dorm when he remembered that he had some work to do at the library. The moment he entered the library he caught a glimpse of a girl with jet black hair. She looked alot like the girl who came to terriorize them at the welcoming party, so he went in for a closer look. When he saw her face, he was sure she was the girl, but 'What's she doing her' He said in his mind. He saw how serious she was reading a book so he came to stand right next to her hoping she would notice him, but she didn't immediately. ... Duncan was still reading when she felt like it was too calm, as if someone was watching her, she quickly snapped her head to her left and did a quick jump, when she saw the person was standing so close to her. "God!" Duncan exclaimed as she tried to catch her breath. "You almost gave me an heart attack" "What are you doing here?" He asked That was when Duncan noticed that he was one of the 3 that left the hall before the count of 30. She was a bit surprised. She had thought it would take long finding them but all of them just happen to find and bump into her on the way. 'At this rate, I'll find my mother faster, way faster'. She thought inside but didn't let it show in her face that she was glad to met him. "You haven't answered my question, what are you doing here after what you did 3 days ago?" Justin was mad. He heard from Raine after the diner party he had gone to that, Duncan was there. She was with a respected man that happens to be her father. That eradicated one of the reasons he thought was her reason to scare them. He had thought of 3 possible reasons One was because she just want to see them scared as maybe she was a sadist or masochist. The order was maybe she was ordered to by some people, like she was walking for a syndicate that hated the school. The last was that, she needed money so someone asked her to do it for money. After hearing what Raine said he removed the last reason, how could the daughter of one of this country most respected man be in need of money to the point that she had to scare teenagers for it. Now imagine his shock when he saw her sitting here like she had done nothing wrong in her entire life. "Why are you asking me that question, are you the owner of the school?" Duncan asked back why raising one of her perfectly carved brows. "After everything you have done, you can still sit her and pretend that everything is fine? What type of person are you". Justin was getting really pissed. How can she and why wasn't anyone else stopping her. "I don't understand what your saying. Everyone today has been mistaking me for a different person my name is Aliya". Duncan raised her voice back. 'Its not only you that can raise your voice'. She said inside. "After what you did at the welcoming party, you still have the guts to come to this school, I'm suprised". " I don't know what your talking about. Look I never even attended the welcoming party, I just flew into the country yesterday " " Lies, you are a lier. Who do you think would believe such gibberish? " Justin said as doubt began to set in his mind " Whether you believe or not I just want to tell you I'm not her! And the lady that destroyed your welcoming party, that wasn't me. " And that was it. Duncan left after clarifying it. She was very sure that by now, he would at least have a doubt in his heart, and that was all she needed.
