Once Bitten

New Home, New Job, Same Old Me

It was rather fun getting all my and Sebastian's belongings not only moved to the packhouse but also set up in the alpha Suite. James looked shocked at how much stuff our son had. Though I have to admit that when I saw that the room he set aside for our son was a pale blue with murals of wolves at play on the walls. It all looked new so I just came to the conclusion that James had a pack member paint it for our little wolf.

It took four days to go through and set up all my and Sebby's belongings. Then the items that I did not need I donated to a woman who ran a charity store sort of like goodwill but with no pricing for pack members. This was a way for us all to chip in and help one another out. Packs were families sort of.

It was rather nice no longer working at the supermarket. I did miss some of my old co-workers. I did still talk with all my close friends and of course, Sadie had to come and help me move in. I knew that she only wanted to help cause she was still shocked that my mate was our sexy as sin alpha. She had in the past made comments about how she would tap him if she got the chance.

Today was my first official day of doing my Luna duties. I had an office of my own to go over any paperwork that dealt with pack matters that was not deemed important enough to trouble the Alpha. I also wanted to bake some treats for anyone to have. In the few days since I moved in it was shocking that James had not tried to move our relationship to a physical one. He also had been coming to bed later after I fell asleep the past few nights.

Once in the kitchen, I saw that there were a few female pack members in there. I smiled politely at them. In turn, they gave me looks like they wanted me to drop dead. Well, that was not totally unexpected. I shrugged and went on with my business seeing what we had in the cupboards I could use to bake.

After taking in inventory I gathered everything to make homemade brownies and peanut butter cookies. I moved to the oven and started to preheat it. As I turned Something sticky landed on my face. It was an egg. My eyes landed on a young woman who sneered at me.

" I don't know why you think you can come in here and do whatever you want." She said in a bitchy voice.

I wiped the egg off my face and moved towards the sink where I turned on the water. Then grabbed the hose and turned it on her. She shrieked and her friends laughed. That made her even madder. Her face now matched her red hair. Her jade eyes glinted with hatred.

" Our Alpha is not Gay!" She said to me.

I could not help but chuckle at that. " Seeing how we have a son together...." I started to say before being hit again now with flour.

Before I knew it between both of us tossing stuff at one another the whole kitchen was trashed. I stood there taking in the mess as her friends helped her off the floor where she had landed after sliding on the remains of the water and eggs that decorated the floor. It looked like they were gonna take her out the door so I turned my back and grabbed a broom so I could begin to clean up.

But then the hellion jumped on my back and tried to claw at my face. I was so not having that. I let out a startled sound and then turned to run my back into the wall. Seriously what was her problem?

" I will tell you freak that I am friends with our true Luna. I have no idea what potion you gave our Alpha to make him think you were his mate."

" Are you stupid??? Like really now! Hate to break it to you but James is my mate and I am his. " I said to her as she finally slide off me.

" I vow to see your spell broken."

" Crazy f*****g redhead. I have no spell cast on anyone!! I am a werewolf not a witch for Goddess sake!"

She then went to hit me when a deep very pissed-off growl filled the kitchen. Standing at the doorway was James holding Sebby who was giggling as he looked around. At least my son thought the scene was funny. My eyes meet James' very pissed-off ones. He took a few long strides to reach where I was standing to hand me our son. While he did that His gaze locked on the she-wolfs.

" What is the meaning of this?" He said in a no-nonsense voice.

" Alpha...That man just lost his mind and started to throw things at me and my friends." The woman said in a sweet voice.

I blinked. Then I blinked again as I took in mentally what she said. Oh yeah, I totally launched a fight for no reason. Yeah, that so sounded like me. Umm no. No way was she gonna stand there and lie.

" Yeah, I also just tried to totally calm my own face also right?" I chipped in looking at her like she was s mad woman. I mean she was after all.

" Did you attack your Luna?" James asked the woman.

" No." She said to him.

James then looked at me and I raised my right eyebrow up. Like did he honestly think that a grown-ass man would just launch a food fight for no reason? Did I just go around and make messes? No, I did not thank you.

" I want this room cleaned. The pack members that had cleaned this room this morning did not deserve their hard work to be undone by grown-ups acting like children." As he said that his gaze went from her to me and then back.

" After you both get this room cleaned I expect you both to come to my office. " He then turned and left the room.

Once he left I let out a breath. I was now sort of pissed. Like he should have taken the vixen with him to discuss how she wanted to harm my rather good looks. My gaze landed on the squirmy little man in my arms. I then began to leave the room So I could grab his walker. I needed to put him into something.

" We were told to clean this room!" She shouted at me.

I just ignored her and left. Going up to the suite and grabbed the walker then came back downstairs. Once I re-entered the room the firey wolf was no longer in the room. She also did not clean anything. Taking in a deep breath I then began to get Sebastion situated then got to work cleaning the kitchen. Lucky me when I was halfway done the Beta and his mate entered and saw I was cleaning and offered to help me out. Today was gonna be a long day.
