Damien Reading the first email from the council it states that they have learned that I have found my mate, and that they will be coming out in a couple of weeks to meet my her. The second one is what is making Aiden growl in my head with anger and rage. 'The council has learned that there is a white wolf living in Orion Mist pack and they need to know who it is.' 'We promised Laney that know one would know till she was ready and that once they did know we would keep her safe.' Said Aiden. 'I know! How is this possible? We need to find out how they found out.' I need to talk to my father. 'Dad I need you in my office as soon as possible. please.' I mind-linked him. Reading the emails again, I hear my door open. I look up and see my father come in with a worried look. "You asked me to come, son what is it?" My father said. "I just received two emails from the council. One states that they learned I found my mate, and want to meet her. The other states that they had word that there is a white wolf in our pack and they will be here to find out more. Dad?" I looked at my father, the alpha of this pack. Terrified that I may loose my love, my mate. "Dad?" I said to him again. 'Why is he just staring at us.' I asked Aiden. 'I don't know, I think he is in shock as well.' Aiden said. "Son, I am not sure how they found out. I will get to the bottom of this. Go and be with your mate for her first shift. I know that you have Charlie making sure that the pack stays away from the northwest side of the pack. I will help him with that. You don't worry about anything or anyone, okay?" My father looked at me with hope. "Thank you, dad." I got up from my chair and walked around my desk and gave my father a hug. It doesn't happen much, we aren't very big on hugs. "Okay, I am going to head back to the cottage and get things ready, we will be heading out about 5." I told my dad, and then walked out and headed towards the cottage. "Sir?" I turned around and saw Lauren head towards me with a picnic basket. "Sir, this is for you and Laney, I hope that you guys enjoy." I take the basket and look back at Lauren with a smile. "Thank you Lauren." I turn and head into the cottage with the basket in my hand. I walk in and see my beautiful mate in the kitchen with an apron on and flour on her hands and nose, and all over her apron. She doesn't seem to notice me. She is just rolling away at some dough. I set the basket down on the table and walk behind her and wrap my arms around her waist. It surprises her a bit but she is relaxed. "Hi you," I said to her and then I nudge her neck to the side and kiss her mark. I hear her moan as she rests her head back on my shoulder. "Hi." She said in her sweet voice. "What are you doing love? Why are you up? You should be resting for the night." I asked her, a bit concerned. In the back of my mind still thinking about those emails. I am going to need to train her as soon as possible. "I am fine, I promise. I want to make some pastries for everyone tonight." Said Laney as she continued with the pastry dough in front of her. She looks so relaxed and calmed. I went over to the table and grabbed the picnic basket that Lauren gave me outside."Lauren made us food for tonight, we will take it with us when we head out." "Oh, that was so nice of her," Laney said with a smile. She grabbed the rest of the pastries that were on a sheet and set them on the table. "Damien, can you help me take these to the kitchen in the house?" Laney said while putting on her shoes and grabbing a tray. I nodded and opened the door for her and grabbed two trays and went behind her. We walked into the main house kitchen and set the trays down. We then went out, back to the cottage and got some things together for the shift. It was getting at that time to go. "Are you ready?" I asked her at the door. Watching her walk around the cottage, making sure that she grabbed everything that she needed. "Yes." She said as she walked towards me and we both headed out to the SUV that was waiting with our bags and, of course, we weren't going to leave without the picnic basket that was made by Lauren. I got in the driver's seat and Laney got in the passenger side. We headed out to the northwest side of the pack lands. Laney Leaning against the window and thinking about today's events. Waking up and seeing my parents sitting at the table with my mate. My mother finally telling me why I was treated the way I was. My father storming out, my mate knowing the truth and still he cares. Our love making this afternoon, waking up to an empty cottage, deciding to bake to keep me calm for tonight's events. Now heading to the far side of the pack to shift for the first time with my mate. It feels so unreal, I am nervous that someone will find out who I am and take me away from all this. Looking over at Damien, "Will you train me?" I asked. Damien slows down and pulls over to the side of the road. "Yes," He said, then reached for my hand "I want to train you, I want you to be able to protect yourself in case something happens to me." I squeezed his hand with a smile on my face. Leaned forward and kissed his lips. Damien smiled back and started driving. We drove on with what felt like ours, but it was only 45 minutes.
