Chapter 5: A Night to Remember

Ava and Liam chatted for a while, catching up on old times and sharing stories about their lives. Ava felt a sense of ease and comfort that she hadn't felt in a long time. She realized that she had missed Liam, and that she was happy to have him back in her life.

As the night wore on, Liam suggested they grab some dinner at a nearby restaurant. Ava agreed, and they walked out of the music venue, into the cool evening air.

The restaurant was a small, cozy place that served delicious Italian food. Ava and Liam sat down at a table by the window, and perused the menu.

As they waited for their food to arrive, Liam asked Ava about her life with Julian. Ava hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But something about Liam's kind and non-judgmental eyes made her feel like she could trust him.

"It's been...complicated," Ava said, choosing her words carefully. "Julian is a great guy, but we've been having some issues lately. He's been really stressed out with work, and it's been affecting our relationship."

Liam nodded sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like you're going through a tough time."

Ava nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat. "Yeah, it's been tough. But I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the good things in our relationship."

Liam reached out and put a hand on her arm. "You deserve to be happy, Ava. If you're not feeling fulfilled in your relationship, maybe it's time to take a step back and re-evaluate things."

Ava felt a surge of emotions at Liam's words. No one had ever told her that she deserved to be happy before. It was a simple but profound statement, and it made Ava realize that she had been settling for a long time.

As they finished their dinner and prepared to part ways, Ava felt a sense of gratitude towards Liam. He had listened to her, and he had offered her words of wisdom and encouragement.

"Thanks for dinner, Liam," Ava said, smiling up at him. "I really needed this tonight."

Liam smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Anytime, Ava. I'm always here for you."

As they hugged goodbye, Ava felt a spark of electricity run through her body. It was a feeling she hadn't experienced in a long time, and it made her realize that she still had feelings for Liam.
