Chapter 6: A Glimpse of the Past Ava couldn't shake off the feeling that lingered long after she parted ways with Liam. It was as if a door had been opened, revealing a glimpse of the past and the memories they had shared. As she walked back to her car, Ava's mind began to wander. She thought about the time she and Liam had spent together in art school, the laughter they had shared, and the late-night conversations about life and art. Ava's heart ached as she realized how much she had missed Liam. She had thought that she had moved on, that she had left the past behind. But now, she wasn't so sure. As she drove home, Ava's thoughts were consumed by Liam. She wondered what he was doing now, if he was happy, and if he ever thought about her. When she arrived home, Ava found Julian sitting on the couch, watching TV. He looked up as she walked in, and Ava could sense a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "Hey, how was your night?" Julian asked, his voice neutral. Ava hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "It was fine," she said finally. "I just went out for a walk and ended up running into an old friend." Julian's eyes narrowed slightly. "An old friend?" Ava nodded. "Yeah, Liam. We went to art school together." Julian's expression changed, and Ava could sense a hint of tension in the air. "I see," he said finally. "Well, I'm glad you had a good time." Ava nodded, feeling a sense of unease. She knew that Julian was jealous, and she couldn't blame him. But she also knew that she couldn't deny her feelings for Liam. As the night wore on, Ava found herself withdrawing into her own world. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was torn between two different paths, two different futures. And as she lay in bed, Ava knew that she had to make a choice. She had to decide which path to take, which future to pursue. But as she drifted off to sleep, Ava knew that the choice wouldn't be easy. She was caught between her heart and her head, between her past and her present. And as she slept, Ava's dreams were filled with visions of Liam, and the memories they had shared. She knew that she couldn't ignore her feelings forever, and that soon, she would have to face the truth.
