Chapter 7: A Conversation with Julian

Ava woke up the next morning feeling restless and uncertain. She knew that she had to talk to Julian about her feelings, but she was afraid of how he would react.

As she got dressed and ready for the day, Ava could sense Julian's eyes on her. He was watching her, waiting for her to make a move.

Finally, Ava couldn't avoid him any longer. She walked into the kitchen, where Julian was making breakfast, and cleared her throat.

"Julian, can we talk?" Ava asked, trying to sound calm.

Julian turned around, a look of concern on his face. "Of course, Ava. What's going on?"

Ava took a deep breath and tried to gather her thoughts. "I don't know if I can do this, Julian. I don't know if I can marry you."

Julian's expression changed, and Ava could sense a hint of anger in his eyes. "What are you talking about, Ava? We've been planning this wedding for months. We've already sent out the invitations."

Ava shook her head. "I know, Julian. And I'm sorry. But I just can't shake off the feeling that I'm making a mistake. I feel like I'm settling for a life that isn't really mine."

Julian's face darkened, and Ava could sense his anger rising to the surface. "So, what are you saying? That you're just going to walk away from our relationship and our wedding plans?"

Ava hesitated, unsure of how to respond. She didn't want to hurt Julian, but she couldn't deny her feelings either.

"I don't know, Julian. I just need some time to think and figure out what I want. Can we just take a break and talk about this later?"

Julian's expression turned cold, and Ava could sense his anger and hurt. "Fine, Ava. Take all the time you need. But don't expect me to wait around for you forever."

As Julian turned and walked away, Ava felt a pang of sadness and regret. She knew that she had hurt him, and she didn't know if their relationship could ever be the same again.

But as she stood there, feeling lost and uncertain, Ava knew that she had to follow her heart. She had to take a chance and see where her feelings would lead her.

And as she thought about Liam and the way he made her feel, Ava knew that she had to take a chance on love.
