Third Person Point of View The land of Lykánthropos is where the Lycans live. Most of their land is forest because they were born to hunt different kinds of animals for them to eat. Eunice let the wind hug her body by closing her eyes. The wind blew her long, lustrous black hair, but she didn’t even dare to fix it. She had fair skin, soft arch eyebrows, wavy eyelashes, almond eye color, a button nose, and heart-shaped lips, which made her an innocent yet fierce woman. She also had an hourglass shape, which caused everyone to look at her. She was resting below the magnificent and magical tree to take a break since she was tired from hunting some rabbit for her lunch, but her heart began to beat rapidly for some reason. Eunice opened her eyes since she was clueless about what was happening. She’s not nervous, but her heart is beating uncontrollably fast as if she were running miles away. “What was happening?” Eunice asked herself until she felt her eyes turn into gold. She smells a sweet scent kilometers away from her location. Eunice also heard that loud heartbeat, so she immediately stood up and tried to follow that smell. After searching for a minute, she finally saw a man who was also looking at her with his golden eyes. Both catch their breath like they have run for a day, but it isn’t. The wolf she was looking at had chocolate brown and messy hair. He’s 6’1” tall and has an athletic body. His skin is tan, but that didn’t lessen his attractiveness. He had golden eyes, thick medium arch eyebrows, curly eyelashes, a pointed nose tip, a defined red cupid bow with a thin upper lip, a precise jawline, and short regulation-cut chocolate brown hair, making him good-looking. He was topless, so his beautiful body was revealed to Eunice’s eyes. “Who are you?” the wolf asked Eunice. Eunice swallowed hard and tried to answer his question, but she suddenly felt his warm arms on her waist as if he were claiming her. “Why do you smell so sweet?” he whispered again. “What are you doing?” Eunice uttered and placed her soft hands on his chest. When she felt his warm skin and heartbeat, Eunice couldn’t help but l her lower lip. He smells so good, but she feels weird in her body. She feels like she’s in heat, but then she remembers that if a Lycan finally saw his mate, he would feel bizarre. “My name is Percival,” he introduced himself while staring at Eunice’s eyes. “Percival?” she repeated. Percival let out a soft chuckle when he heard her sweet voice repeating his words. Her voice tickles his heart, and he can’t forget how her eyes sparkle. “Yes, sweetheart,” he retorted seductively. “What’s your name?” “Eunice. My name is Eunice,” she finally said without stammering. “Your name is beautiful.” He licks his lower lip before glancing at Eunice’s red lips. “Would you mind if I kiss my mate?” Before Eunice could speak, Percival claimed his mate’s lips without minding that they were in the middle of the forest. They are both in heat, but Percival can’t mark his territory for now since it is too early. He just wanted to kiss her, mark his skin, and let everyone know his smell on her so no one dared to look at her with adoration in their eyes. He’s an Alpha and a royalty, the crown prince. So he knew that no one would ever dare to be with her again because of his smell. They became inseparable when they were together, but everything changed when a she-wolf appeared, causing everything to fall apart. “Percival,” Eunice whispered and tried to hold Percival’s hand. He was trying to remove her hand from his hand because he wanted to hug Yvette, who was looking at him with teary eyes. “What is the meaning of this, Percival?” Yvette begged for his answer. Percival shook his head and tried his best to remove Eunice’s hand without her getting hurt. “Yve.” “I was gone for years, Percival and when I came back, you’re with someone else?” she asked him. “Yve, it’s not what you think. She’s nothing,” Percival uttered, which broke Eunice’s heart. “I don’t even know her.” She was frozen in her spot and forgot to hold Percival’s hand to stop him, but everything changed when she heard what he said. Eunice can’t believe it since her mate denies her because a random she-wolf appeared. She stares at them when Percival tries to make up with the she-wolf named Yve. “What the hell?” Eunice whispered to herself when she realized what he had said. “Did you just deny me, Percival? I’m your mate for Pete’s sake!” Yvette’s forehead furrowed when she heard what she just said. “What do you mean? You’re his mate?” Yvette was his first mate. Before they could complete the ritual, she disappeared. Since she disappeared suddenly, Percival couldn’t talk to her through their bond since the ritual was incomplete. He waited for her to return, but it took a hundred years until he suddenly met Eunice, whom he thought was Yvette. Since he felt that Eunice might be his mate, he tried to get along with her without doing the ritual since he was unsure. Their case was rare. The Lycan should only have one Luna, but Percival had two. He knew that he felt something weird when he was with Eunice, but his feelings for Yvette were much stronger. “I’m his mate,” Yvette said before hugging Percival. Eunice shook her head in disbelief. She could feel it, but how come Percival didn’t say anything and didn’t even glance at her? “Percival,” Eunice called him, but he didn’t grant her wish, so a tear escaped from Eunice’s eyes. “Why? Why did you deny me?” “You’re not my mate, Eunice,” he replied, licking his lower lip. “I thought you were my mate, but it turns out that I’m longing for my mate, Yvette. I apologize. I know that it was my fault.” Eunice wiped her tears away and shook her head. She even let out a sarcastic laugh to hide the pain that she was feeling, but deep inside, she was lost. She doesn’t know what to do anymore with her life. Everything felt unreal, and she decided to become in denial about herself and became the rejected mate of an Alpha. She knew that it was her mate. She can feel it, but why did Percival reject her because his first mate appeared out of nowhere? “I can’t believe it,” Eunice said before she broke down. She can feel that her hands are shaking because she can’t control her emotions, causing her ability to get triggered. Her ability is ice, while Percival has the ability of fire. They were both opposite, so she needed to control her ability because Percival might die, but she couldn’t. “Get out of my sight,” Eunice ordered them. “Why would I?” Yvette raised a question and gritted her teeth. “We’re not done yet.” “Leave me alone, or I’ll freeze you to death? Choose,” Eunice commanded before raising her head and staring at Yvette with blank eyes. Eunice’s eye color also transforms into sky blue since her ability is activated. Percival saw that, causing him to clench his jaw and wrap his arms around Yvette’s waist before leaving the forest. “In the end, he chose her over me,” Eunice whispered before letting her ability freeze the forest.
