Chapter 34 – Hard-Pressed
Angelina led her brigade down Jarret Boulevard. When the target appeared in the distance, she quickened her pace to a jog and pointed. Her men accelerated with her and sprinted towards the target. It was a dorm block for Leland's new army.
That was the best guess, anyway. No one actually knew for certain—the army's existence would still be secret if not for the Kinmont boy's report—but Leland wouldn't have requisitioned it without a good reason. His new little psycho soldier boys were almost certainly living there.
She slowed to catch her breath. She wasn't young anymore, and running was exhausting.
The rest of her brigade passed her. They converged on the dorm's entrances. Some of them ran down side alleys to cut off the rear exits.
