S01 EP06: The Oldman

Meanwhile from the other path, we will see Brax with horse. Brax kept on travelling for 4 days straight, keeping his horse in shape which he let the horse eat his food and drink his own water. Brax has the ability to control his hunger to convert it to strength but evrytime he feels hunger it will consume some amount of his mana. Morning of 5th day, he decided to let the horse drink from the wild pond where the amount of water is almost dry causing some fishes to suffocate when they we're on the level of the water that isn't deep enough. Brax looks around him and hop down on his horse and then hitched the horse on his shield then after that, Brax carefully went to the fishes from the dried area of the wild pond.

(Brax approaches the first suffocated fish)

Brax: This is weird...

(Brax picked up the first fish)

Brax: The temperature is quiet manageable but... This wild pond is drying. This is suspicious.

(Brax smells the fish)

Brax: This fish drowned recently...

(Brax squeezed the fish)

Brax: But the belly is hard as rock.

(Brax placed the fish in his bag and went for the second fish to investigate)

Brax: This one is bigger than the other but... Smelly.

(Brax picked up the fish)

Brax: This is one died approximately 2 days ago.

(Brax tossed the fish on the ground and he saw an oldman standing from the other side)

Oldman: Found something worth the meal later tonight?

Brax: No luck yet. You?

Oldman: Got nothing. Consider yourself lucky that you can just pick them with your barehands just like in the market.

Brax: Why? I don't mind helping you to get down here.

Oldman: I want too but I don't need to.

Brax: You'll die in hunger anytime soon. You need something to eat.

Oldman: I will catch a fish.

Brax: The water is dry, there's no fish swimming around here no more.

Oldman: No. I will catch fish.

(Brax tried to approach the oldman)

Oldman: Don't come closer you are scarying the fish!

Brax: Wha-?

(Brax scratching his helmet)

Brax: Alright oldman...

(Brax removed his helmet)

Brax: I'll fill this helmet with fish then I will give them to you so you can go home.

Oldman: You're so kind... But I've been eating fishes for weeks. I want something different to taste.

(Oldman looks at Brax's horse)

Brax: Oh no. NOPE. NO. NO. NO.

(Oldman tilting his head)

Oldman: Just a tiny piece of meat will do.

Brax: I can't do that, I'm sorry. My horse is my transportation and my only companion. Alright? We stick... To these fishes over here.

Oldman: But-

Brax: Fish meat is what you are going to eat. Practical. Survival.

Oldman: I don't know when I will be leaving this world mister. I only wish to taste any kind of animal meat no matter how much or big I am going to eat.

Brax was quiet and thinking. If he let the oldman take his horse and they will eat the horse together later at night, his travel time will be slowed. However, he doesn't have enough food to keep the horse running to travel because the horse can't convert something to turn it to energy. If he didn't give his horse to the oldman, he might die from hunger or at least not tasting meat. Brax scrubbing his eyebrow and sweating.

Brax: Ngghhh. Alright... Listen oldman, you stay up there, do you have a place?

Oldman: Yes I do, why?

Brax: Good. Now, let me finish to pick some fish around here and we go to tour place to have additional meals for tonight.

After picking up the pieces of fish, Brax and the oldman left the dried wild pond. Brax assisted the oldman and he prepares his horse to be butchered.

Brax: Hey... Buddy... You know I love you and I do really need you... But...

Oldman: Why are you talking to your horse?

Brax: Ju-just give me a minute. Alright?

(Oldman laughs at the background)

Brax: Crazy oldman... Anyway... I have to do this so that I could save the life of this oldman and at least fulfill his last wish. I will see you in the grassy land of Goddess Athena...

(Brax giving his horse a final touch and scrubs)

Brax: I won't make you suffer...

(Brax removed his helmet and went for the oldmans knife then stabbed the norse under its jaw)

Brax: I'm so sorry...

(Brax hugged the horse and slowly put him down on the ground)

Oldman: You really did sacrificed your horse for me... I know its hard but... You still did it anyway.

Brax: My oldman died from old age. Not allowed to taste his favorite food anymore. So... I won't let that happen again especially when you told me about that.

(Oldman nods his head)

Oldman: Do it fast... It's getting dark. You can't or shouldn't be outside butchering that horse. Or else someone will take that away from us, with you...

(Oldman went back in)

Brax: Does it means an evil entity exists here? Im pretty sure of that...

Brax wanted to figure out what does the oldman is talking about and he continued butchering the horse by takinf own time with it.

When it got darker outside, oldman lighted up the house leaving enough light from the outside to emit.

After an hour, dark entity revealed himself from the treeline and approached Brax.

Dark Entity: Looks like you've got something tasty right there... Human...

(Brax continues chopping the horse)

Dark Entity: Where is the oldman? He is supposed to be the one who offers me this... Sacrifice just so I could spare his life and delay his time of death.

(Oldman peeks on his window and saw Dark Entity talking to Brax)

Oldman: He is here... He's here...

(Oldman is shaking and Dark Entity stares at him from the outside.)

Oldman: (deep gasps)

Dark Entity: I see you... Oldman...

Brax: Let him be... I am right here.

(Brax stabs the table and threw the horse meat to Dark Entity)

Dark Entity: You are brave... I've never seen you before... But I can tell that you are strong...

(Dark Entity picks up the horse meat)

Dark Entity: Gaaahh...

(Dark Entity bites the horse meat)

Dark Entity: I'll spare you both... But tomorrow you should offer me a better me-

Brax smashes his iron shield on Dark Entity's face and he then incapacitated the arms of the enemy and slashes his chest to take out the lava core.

Brax: You talk too much...

Dark Entity: Who... Who are you...

Brax: I'm just "no one".

(Brax crushed the lava core of Dark Entity and vanished in smoke form)

Oldman: What have you done?

Brax: My duty.

(Brax picks up the horse meat)

Oldman: They will comeback... I'm sure you got them pissed...

Brax: Then let them come.

Brax pulls out the knife on the table and gets inside the oldmans house. Oldman is preparing the horse meat and fish.

Oldman: Your shield... It was forged with a material that doesn't exist here on the surface land. Yes?

Brax: What about it?

Oldman: I can tell. I was a shieldmaker before.

Brax: From where? There is only-

Oldman: One place of mankind to exist? And to those who leaves with zero abilities won't survive long out here? Yeah... I was from that place too before.

Brax: So you are one of the survivors who ran away?

Oldman: I didn't, but I am the fruit of their escape.

Brax: So there are other villages out here?

Oldman: Yes...

When oldman finished preparing the ingredients for the horse meat and fish, the smoke from the kitchen became a memory cloud which allows Brax to see the past story of the oldman.

(Brax went for his shield)

Brax: What's this spell? Where did you learn it?

Oldman: You don't have to grab your shield... I'm not going to hurt you. My wife taught me about this memoey cloud.

(Brax put down his shield)

The oldman with his wife and kid ran out of the town during the palace breach. They lost their hope for Xavier and his firdt seven defenders so they decided to do their own settlement from somewhere that is far from the palace because they believe that the evil forces only knows the location of the palace which makes the evil forces to keep an eye on the town's palace. The further away from the palace, the safer they thought it could be. They found the wild pond which they believe it was the gift from Goddess Athena so they made their settlement near that which is the house where Oldman and Brax are. After a year have passed the oldman decided to travel a little further beyons the wild pond. When he thought it was safe and away from danger, he does explore further every month and comes home for at least 3 days long. The further he gets, the longer he is away from their house.

One day, the oldman plans to set an exploration to go beyond north of the wild pond. He decided to stretch his back outside and while he is stretching his body outside, a glowing light appears on the wild pond. Due to panic, oldman rushed in to their house and turned off their lamps and comfort his wife and kid.

First morning light, oldman decided to continue his plan to go further but he wanted to check the surroundings first.

Oldman: I'll be out for 3 days... Then I will stay here with you both here when I get home.

Wife: Last exploration, and you're done... Please?

(Oldman kisses his wife)

Oldman: Yes... This is the last one.

Kid: Be careful dad!

Oldman hugged his wife and kid then he set his foot out of their house. Oldman went to the wild pond and witnessed that the water from the pond is getting dry slowly but he ignored due to his thought that it might be because of the natural activity in surface land so he continued to walk away. When he proceeds on his way, he didn't notice the boiling water from a crater like hole in the middle of the wild pond.

On the evening of his travel, oldman reached his first post and decided to write markings from the paper he placed on the wall.

Oldman: This is my 7th time getting here. I think it is safe to say that this area is clear from harm.

(Oldman writting)

Oldman: Last travel... Last tra-

Loud explosion was heard and birds flying away. Oldman decided to go out of his post and look where the explosion came from. When he first look on his north, he didn't see any. He looked on his east and west but still nothing and when he heard a female scream he turn his back to the south and there he saw the smoke and spell flashing on the sky. Oldman went for his weapon and rushed to go back home.

On his way home, he encountered a dark entity.

Dark Entity: Another mortal... Outside the palace?

Oldman: I am not from the palace. Get out of my way.

Dark Entity: Really...? I doubt... You smell like... ONE OF THEM!

(Dark Entity swings and smashes his hammer against the oldman but the oldman managed to dodge it)

Oldman: I don't have time to fight you! Grrrr!

Dark Entity: You are going nowhere oldman!

Oldman: You are wasting my time!

The oldman and the dark entity fought for an hour. Oldman manages to hurt the enemy but dark entity is regenerating. He doesn't know about the healing ability of the dark ebtity and the oldman was too tired and exhausted to fight but the dark entity seem not getting tired.

Dark Entity: Feeling tired yet?!

(Dark Entity dashes through oldman and grabbed his face pushing him down the ground)

Oldman: Gaaaaccckkk!!!

(Oldman groans and stomps on his face. Oldman tapping the feet of the dark entity attempting to take it off)

Dark Entity: Quit struggling... Tell me about the other villagers that got out of the palace.

Oldman: I don't know where they are!

(Dark Entity pressed his foot forward to Oldmans face harder)

Dark Entity: NGGGGRRRR!!

(Dark entity stomping oldmans face)

Dark Entity: WHERE!

(Dark Entity continued stomping his face)

Dark Entity: ARE!

(Dark Entity grabbed the oldman's legs)

Dark Entity: THEY?!!

(Dark Entity steps on the oldmans knee and breaks them both)

Oldman: GGRRAAAGGHHHHHH!!

(Oldman groaning in pain)

Dark Entity: You... LAST CHANGE MORTAL!

Oldman: I TOLD YOU! I DON'T KNOW!

Dark Entity: Well then... YOU ARE NO USE!

Dark Entity raised his hammer and another Dark Entity appeared to talk to him.

Dark Entity: What is it?

Dark Entity 02: We found few villagers not far from the waters.

Dark Entity: Hmmmm...

(Dark Entity let the oldman go dropping him on the ground while crying in pain)

Dark Entity: What do they look like?

Dark Entity 02: One female wizzard and a kid who can't even fight.

(Oldman heard them talking and threw a rock on Dark Entity face)

Dark Entity: Hmmmmm?

Oldman: Don't touch my family!!

Dark Entity 02: What's the deal on this mortal?

Dark Entity: I found him out here. Looks like he was from the palace and I fought him which disappoints me he didn't last long.

(Oldman crawling forward to go home)

Dark Entity: I enterrogated this human hoping to get information about other villages...

(Dark Entity and the second Dark Entity slowly walking forward to follow the oldman)

Dark Entity 02: He said those humans near the water hole is his family.

Dark Entity: We could use them...

Dark Entity 02: Let's go... Sixth Sin with the Fourth Council is waiting...

Dark Entity grabbed the oldmans leg and drags him on the ground while they walk towards the house of oldman. When they reached they location, the oldman saw a lot of dark forces and his kid is lifeless on the steps of their house.

Oldman: NO... N-NOOOOO! OH GOD NOOO!

Dark Entity threw the oldman near his son and the oldman reaches for his sons hand.

Oldman: Daddy is home... Daddy home... No... NO NO NO NO...

Sixth Sin and Dark Entity talking about what they will do to the oldman while he was mourning about his son's death, Fourth Council steps out of the oldmans house fixing his lower guard. Fourth Council stares at him for a second and smiles at him when the Fourth Council made it out three more dark entities left the house and after that oldman saw his wife on the floor n**ed and struggling to catch her own breath. Oldman crawls forward to his wife while dragging his son forward.

(Oldman lift his wife's head)

Oldman: No... NOOOO!!

Wife: How was your last exploration?

(Wife coughs blood)

Oldman: I didn't continue... I went back here... But... BU-

(Wife touches oldmans face and wiped off his tears)

Wife: Don't cry... I know what you are doing is for the good of us...

Oldman hugged his wife and son tight and his wife touches his leg to heal but due to her weakness, she can only heal one leg and not fully healed yet. Oldman thanked her for her last effort and decided not to fight back the evil forces so he won't get hurt and the body of his family are spared.

Meanwhile, the Dark Entities left the area to search for more villagers outside the palace so that Dark Orb can have more souls to harvest and turn them into one of the armies of the underworld. Sixth Sin with the Fourth council enters the house of oldman and approached him to ask something.

Fourth Council: I'm sorry mortal but if only your wife didn't try to resist or fight back, she still could be alive until now...

(Oldman still hugging his wife and son while crying)

Sixth Sin: Your wife... She was able to kill three of dark entities with us.

Fourth Council: A normal human can not do that... Unless you have been trained by those people from the palace.

(Sixth Sin walking around the oldman with his family while they are on the floor)

Fourth Council: Tell us what you know about the palace... And we will spare your life. Also we will let you give your family a proper burial.

Sixth Sin: Where can we find the thomb of Diablo?

(Oldman stopped crying and still not looking at them)

Fourth Council: One of the entities said that he fought you for an hour and was able to hurt him with your fighting skills...

Sixth Sin: That's why I do believe that you are not just a normal human too.

Sixth Sin grabbed the oldman's son and threaten him if he is not going to tell what the oldman knows about the palace, he will crush the kid's body and oldman's wife will be next.

Oldman: Alright... ALRIGHT!

(Fourth Council smiles and nod his head to Sixth Sin)

Sixth Sin: Speak.

Oldman: I am one of the fighters of the palace and my wife was one of the mages of the palace. All we know is that the thomb of Diablo is somewhere in the palace.

Fourth Council: Where is it exactly?

Oldman: I don't know... They didn't give more details about it...

Sixth Sin: Tell us or what....

(Sixth Sin lifted the kids body and slams it on the ground)

Oldman: NOOOOO!! NO NO NO! GOD PLEASE STOOOOP!

Sixth Sin drags the body and threw it outside leaving his son unrecognizable. He then pulled the oldmans wife's body.

Oldman: PLEASEEEE NO!!!

Sixth Sin: Your wife is barely breathing...

Sixth Sin sniffs his wife's neck and his wife couldn't fight back because she is very weak and couldn't move any part of her body. Sixth Sin then placed her on the table and lay her down spreading her legs open and then approached the oldman to grab his head and lean him to the wall facing the Fourth Council and at the same time he saw his wife looking at him as well having tears falling on her eyes.

Sixth Sin: You look at the council when he is talking to you. Now... I do think you know what I am about to do next if you still lie as you answer the next question.

Oldman: I told you already...

Fourth Council approaches his wife and stood on her head bending over to lick her cheek.

Oldman: N-NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Fourth Council: I am just wipping the tears of your wife...

(Fourth Council sliding his hands on her shoulder down to her arms)

Oldman: Leave my wife! I told you already! Diablo's thomb is inside the palace!

Sixth Sin: WHERE IS IT EXACTLY?!

Fourth Council: I think that would be enough to know...

(Fourth Council stood up and let go of oldmans wife and sat down on the chair)

Fourth Council: Tell me about the members of the palace. Are there stronger fighters? How many? What's their name? Hmmmm?

Oldman: I... I only know few...

Sixth Sin approaches oldmans wife and removed his lower armor then grabbed the oldman's wife on her hips causing Sixth Sin to penetrate her skin then pulled oldman's wife a little closer to him.

Oldman: Waaaait! Wait!

Fourth Council: Information is all what we needed to know...

Oldman: The... The palace... The palace... The-They...

Sixth Sin: Are you mocking us?

Sixth Sin pushes his fingers deeper on oldmans hips causing her to scream.

Oldman: HOLD ON! PLEASE!

Fourth Council was smirking and looked at Sixth Sin and raise his hand gesturing him to standby.

Fourth Council: Relax... Get yourself together. I'll grab some water for you.

(Fourth Council raised his lower protection and spilled boiling water on oldmans head)

Oldman: Aaagggcckk!! AHHHHH!!!!

Sixth Sin: Tell us the information quick and clearly. Or else both of you and your wife will suffer more?

Sixth Sin pointed his lower weapon to the oldman's wife's sacred part. Sixth Sin poking her every second while tilting his head as he made an eye to eye contact with his wife.

Fourth Council: No lies... No delays... Make this quick. Simple and with true infomations...

Oldman: I.. I will... Please don't hurt her...

Fourth Council: Did I told you to make a bargain?

Fourth Council put his hand down to gesture Sixth Sin to proceed on his plan. Sixth Sin penetrated the oldmans wife without notice and because of the size of Sixth Sin's lower weapon, it causes her sacred part bleed.

(Oldmans wife shouts in pain)

Oldman: NOOOOOOO!!

Fourth Council: Do what I say... Speak only to give answers...

Oldman's wife is screaming in pain and her mouth is drooling while the Sixth Sin is going in and out of her sacred part.

Oldman: The palace has Seven Defender's but after the breach, they are down to two...

Fourth Council: And then?

Oldman: Three... I mean Three of them are left in that!

Fourth Council shakes his head and ordered Sixth Sin by nodding his head as a sign to make it more painful. Sixth Sin stopped but didn't pull out his lower weapon.

Oldman: Wha-!

Fourth Council: Do I have to repeat myself?

Sixth Sin grabbed the oldman's wife on her waist and rotate her position she is now facing the table and he grab her wrists to pull close to him causing her to stretch her upper body. She screams so loud as Sixth Sin do that and lift her up to carry which makes it more even painful. Sixth Sin does his thing continuesly while looking at the oldman which makes him to watch her wife.

Oldman: Th-The palace is currently looking for new members. It's all I know about them.. I think they are also looking for those pieces of light that scattered around the world.

Fourth Council: The seven spirits... What do you know about that?

Oldman: I- I don't... I don't know...

Fourth Council nods his head to Sixth Sin and his hand slowly sliding down to his wife's sacred part then forced his two fingers to get inside of the cave even if his lower weapon is inside making it bleed and make her scream more in pain.

Oldman: I TOLD YOU! I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE SEVEN SPIRITS LOCATION! ME AND MY FAMILY LEFT THE TOWN WHILE THE EVIL FORCES ARE ATTACKING THE PALACE AND THEN TOWN! I ONLY KNOW ABOUT THE REMAINING MEMBERS OF THE DEFENDERS BECAUSE THAT WHAT I HAVE HEARD!

Sixth Sin finished what he was doing and lay the woman on the table. She was catching her breath harder and her body was shaking due to stress, pain and also because of her energy is slowly fading.

Fourth Council: Pleasure doing business with you... Human. I will leave a dark entity guard to keep an eye on you from time to time so that you are going no where.

(Fourth Council stood up and Sixth Sin walks towards the oldman while his lower weapon is exposed with blood of her wife)

Sixth Sin: Don't do anything that you will regret... Or else I will be the one to take your soul out of your body.

Sixth Sin's lower armor appeared back to his lower body and he walks outside with Fourth Council. Oldman crawls towards his wife and tried to stand up by getting the chair first and then when he got to the table his wife is already lifeless and he can't feel her energy anymore. Oldman hugged his wife and cried. Screaming out loud.

(Meanwhile outside the oldmans house)

Sixth Sin: We didn't get to know where was the location of one of the seven spirits.

Fourth Council: We know now where the thomb of Diablo is. That's a good information already.

Sixth Sin: How can we make sure if its real?

Fourth Council: We will send a spy...

(Fourth Council summoned the lower members of the seven pillars)

Seven Pillars: What is it?

Fourth Council: Scatter around world and look for the pieces of each Seven Spirits. Find them and bring them back to the underworld before the humans get their hands on to them. GO!

(Members of the lower pillars vanished)

Sixth Sin: What about us?

Fourth Council: Let's head back to the underworld and tell Dark Orb about the thomb of Diablo in humans palace. From that, we will plan our next move...

(Portal to underworld appeared and Fourth Council with Sixth Sin entered it)

Meanwhile at the present, Brax was shocked about what happened to the oldman. He hugged the oldman and showed his sympathy for him and promised to avenge him and his family. The oldman smiled at him and they eat the food together. Brax told him some stories about how he became one of the Seven Defenders of the palace and shared some embarassing moments to the oldman to make him laugh.

First morning light, Brax is getting ready to leave and he was looking around for the oldman. He went outside and went to the pond then he saw the oldman standing with a tree branch on his side.

(Brax approaches the oldman)

Brax: Hey it's still early... Come on. I'll get us something to eat inside.

Oldman: No... I won't make it longer. The dark entity you killed? He was cursed to represent my life. They did that to make sure I won't go anywhere. If he dies, I will die next after a day.

Brax: Why didn't you tell me earlier?

Oldman: I'm tired... I'm sad... I can't live longer like this... But. I will tell you something...

(Oldman turns around to face Brax)

Oldman: The center of this pond is one of the portals to thr underworld. And... take this...

(Oldman handed a scroll to Brax)

Brax: What's this?

Oldman: That is the map that will lead you to one of the spirits in the North Caves.

Brax: What?! Why you didn't took it to protect yourself and your family?

Oldman: I am not worthy enough to use the spirit myself. I committed a sin and my heart isn't pure.

Brax: I will keep this and I will bring the spirit home. I will avenge you anf your family. I promise.

(Oldman smiled and Brax hugged him)

Oldman: Thank you for your kindness... Brax...

(Oldman's heart stopped beating)

Brax: Oldman... Hey...

(Brax looks at the oldman and lifted him)

Brax carried the oldman to infront of his house, dig a grave for him beside his family's thomb and then Brax burned the house. After that, Brax head on his way to Northern Caves where he can find one of the pieces of said seven spirits before the evil forces get their hands on that piece.
