S01 EP05: Last Wish

The Seven Defenders went on their own path that will bring them to the location of each Seven Spirits of the animals that was scattered around the world from long ago when Xavier died to stop Diablo and save mankind from extinction.

Palasso chose to travel on the East with his horse. He wished to travel with a villager as planned but that will never happen. Palasso spent his days and nights on the road, takes enough time to take a nap to get some rest also for his horse to take a break from theie travel. First light in the morning, Palasso stretches his arms out and looked around him, his horse is missing. He quickly went for his bow and arrow then followed the track of his horse which leads to the treeline. As he follows the track, he noticed that there was no other footprints besides his horse's shoes. Quietly and carefully, he made a one dash to quickly reach the treeline and he succeeded. However, he can sense that there is something different as the wind blows which allows him to know that he is not alone. The presence was too strong to compare to a horse so he kept his guard up and set himself to high alert.

Palasso: I can tell that there is someone else out here and this aura... I'm not certain if this is a human or not. Definitely not a presence of animals though.

(Palasso continues to walk to go deep the treeline)

As Palasso continued to move the tracks are gone and suddenly he heard the scream of his horse from random direction. He can't tell which way so he decided to go straight ahead and then he saw his horse drinking water from a hole. Palasso didn't approach the horse right away because he wasn't sure if the surroundings are clear, so for him to figure it out, he decided to climb up the tree and aim for the lasso which dangles under the neck of his horse so he can hitch the horse with his arrow.

Palasso: Alright... Calm down buddy...

(Palasso pulls the nylon of his bow)

Palasso: (shots his arrow)

Palasso successfully hit the lasso but unfortunately the horse disappeared. He was shocked and confused so he looks around him. After seconds have passed, he heard his horse again but from different direction. That then he realized, that someone is tricking him in this forest. Palasso dashes forward to the water hole and he grabbed his arrow. As he pulled it out, he notices a letter carved on the leader.

The Letter: Which way Palasso? Which way! Oh no... It seems like there is no way out of here, no way to leave even if you try to. Just like your horse? You are lost.

Palasso: I knew it.

(Palasso put the letter inside his pocket)

Palasso: Alright... I'll bite...

Palasso continues to follow the scream of his horse but everytime he finds his horse it kept disappearing. It seems like he is on a loop. Palasso got tired of it and he decided to callout who ever is tricking him in the forest.

Palasso: That's enough of games! It's time for you to show yourself!

(Bushes in front of him shakes and the head of his horse rolls out from the bushes landed on his foot)

Palasso: Wha-What?!

Unknown Entity: My apologies human...

(Palasso aims and shoots at the direction where the voice came from and Unknown Entity dodged it by moving his head on the side)

Unknown Entity: Well that's not welcoming at all...

Palasso: Heh. Now you know? Leave or the next arrow will land between your eyes.

Unknown Entity: OooOohh!! Spooky...

Unknown Entity hops out from the bushes and unveils his hood to reveal who he is and Palasso didn't expected what he saw.

(Palasso was confused)

Archer: It's been a while... Brother.

Palasso: You... You're already dead...

Archer: And now I am alive and well... Stronger than ever as well. HA HA HA!

Palasso: No... This is just an ILLUSION!

(Palasso shoot his shot to hit Archer)

Archer: Nervous...

(Palasso shoots his arrow again)

Archer: Misfocused...

(Archer dashing left and right but Palasso kept on shooting his arrow)

Archer: Disappointing...

(Archer changed his movements and dashes backward to hide behind a tree)

Archer: I know your movements son...

Palasso lower his bow and went for his sword then dashes forward to the tree where Archer hides but he wasn't there.

(Palasso looks around as his brother's voice echoing in the forest)

Archer: I taught you how to become a better bowman...

Palasso: Show yourself!

(Palasso dashes to another tree but didn't see Archer there)

Archer: You got me sad... I've been waiting to see you ever since...

(Palasso climbed a tree and catches his breath)

Archer: I was told you're the fastest?

Palasso felt a strong aura approaching fast on his position and a dark arrow appeared out of nowhere luckily Palasso managed to dodged it.

Palasso: A bow?!

Archer: Just messing with you...

(Another strong aura incoming but this time it was double daggers with chain)

Palasso: What's these?! HE IS FAST!

Archer: What's the matter Palasso?! I thought you are the fastest among the bowman in your palace?

(Archer keeps on attacking from random directions)

Palasso is avoiding the attacks since he is trying to analyze the movements of the weapons especially Archer's moves.

(Palasso whispering on his own mind)

Palasso: This movement... The way he use the weapons...

(Chains clanging)

Palasso: This is indeed from my brother... But something isn't right...

(Archer laughing at the background)

Palasso: My brother died from the first assault and his weapons are burried with him...

(Archer continuing his attacks)

Palasso: I need to figure out the timing...

(Archer stopped from attacking and Palasso climbed up on a tree)

Archer changed his way of attacks by pulling back the daggers and when his daggers appeared back on Palasso's vision it became multiple.

Palasso: WHAT?!

(Palasso dodged the attack the blood circulating from the chains of the dagger scratched his face)

Palasso: This isn't good. He changed his attacks.

Archer: Well... You want to take a break as I tell you... How did I get this body and weapons? These are quiet handy.

Palasso made enough distance and Archer revealed his true identity not in a human form.

Bloodlust: I am Bloodlust, one of lower members of the 7 pillars from underworld.

Palasso: The underworld has 7 officials too?!

Bloodlust: Yes, mortal. What? Do you really think that only humans from the surface land has the right to form officials or do somethinf just on their own ideas nor rules? HAHAHAHAHA!

Palasso: That weapon. It is inside the town of the palace...

Bloodlust: These? Ha! These are quiet light and easy to use.

Palasso: How'd you got it?

(Bloodlust walks around Palasso)

Bloodlust: Hmmm... I can see you both are similar. From movements... Use of range weapons... And the way of talking... Which is... NOT GOOD.

(Bloodlust struck thr daggers on the grass)

Bloodlust: I'm unarmed. You can lower your weapon.

(Bloodlust sits down on the big rock)

Palasso: No. And I won't sit down to share words from my brother's killer.

Bloodlust: Gaaahhh... You've got it right. I am the one who killed your brother.

(Palasso stretches his bow string to aim his arrow to Bloodlust)

Bloodlust: I see anger already... Tsk.

(Bloodlust stretching his neck)

Bloodlust: This maybe will change your mind to listen and sit?

(Bloodlust grabbed a necklace from his pocket and threw it on Palasso's feet)

Palasso: What's this?

Bloodlust: See it yourself. Not gonna hirt you.

(Palasso slowly picks up the necklace and realized it was his brothers then he closed his fist and stares at Bloodlust)

Bloodlust: Hmmmm... It looks like I finally got your attention? PA-LA-SSO.

Palasso relaxed his mind and body and then decided to lower down his weapons and sits down on the big root little further away from Bloodlust. Just enough distance to make a gap between them.

Bloodlust: I understand your hesitation human. I am a demon, and you are a mortal. Understandable valid reason to hesitate.

Palasso: Enough circusing your words... Get to it before I pull your tounge out to make you permanently silent?

Bloodlust: Ooohhh! Scary... HA HA HA! If you do that? You're not going to know where and what are the informations you needed or wanted to know.

Palasso then turn his weapon down and kept himself relax and calm then he let Bloodlust to begin the story of how he did obtain Archer who is Palasso's older brother.

Bloodlust: You do not know this for suee but I will tell you anyway...

(Bloodlust smiles at Palasso)

Bloodlust: During the breach on the Palace where Sandra, Brax, Max and Light the current reigning king, your older brother is fighting on the front gate of the town. He wasn't afraid to die and didn't abandon his post with your father. They are both doing well until they met Dark Orb who made an escape from Xavier during the confrontation with Diablo.

Palasso: I do remember how Dark Orb managed to survive.

Bloodlust: Good. Now, when Dark Orb vanished in the pillars of the palace, he teleported to the front gate of the town. And when he saw Archer and your father standing on the pile of the corpses of the underworld army, he quickly decided to take control of one of the dead corpse of a villager to disguise himself and to get a closer approach to your relatives.

(Flashback)

Hurt Villager: HEEEELP!!

Archer: Dad look! Another survivor!

Archer's Dad: Get behind me.

Archer: No, I'll stay here so I can make sure that there are no evil entity that might get here when you get to that villager.

Archer's Dad: I'll make this quick. Be safe.

(Archer's father run towards the villager who was hurt really it was Dark Orb)

Hurt Villager: You've saved me... Thank you!

Archer's Dad: Don't worry. As long as there are brave warriors like me and my son? And the rest of the palace's army under Brax's command? You don't have to be scared.

(Archer's dad lifted the hurt villager)

Archer's Dad: Come one!

(Grunts)

Hurt Villager: (groans)

Archer's Dad: I'm sorry... But we're not safe here. I got you!

Archer's dad and the hurt villager begin to walk towards Archer destination. However during their walk, Dark Orb got something in his mind.

Hurt Villager: This man... He is tough but... Emotionally weak. I can still use him as my new vessel though...

(From distance, Archer saw them)

Archer: Dad? Dad! Come on!

Hurt Villager: Graagghh!

(Hurt Villager kneeled due to pain)

Archer's Dad: Come on! We are almost there.

Hurt Villager: I can't make it... I have losr a of blood already.

Archer's Dad: No. No no no no. I will take you out of here and you'll be safe. Alright?

Hurt Villager: No... You can't...

Archer's Dad: Archer! Get me something where we can put this villager on! Something with wheels!

Archer quickly went to look for something with wheels and he saw the dried grass carrier. Archer quickly approached the grass carrier and flipped it over then went on his way back to his father.

Archer's Dad: Come on man, stay with me... We can do this...

(From a distance, Archer is approaching)

Archer: DAAAAD!

Archer's Dad: See?! Almost there! Up!

The hurt villager tried to stand up but he is too weak so he fell again on the ground. Archer's father tried to pull the hurt villager but it only make things difficult and painful for the hurt villager at the same time.

Archer: Im coming on your way!

Unfortunately some debris from the broken houses scattered on the road. Huge bricks of rocks and roof bricks are scattered along with the dead farm animals also the dead villagers.

Archer: I can't get pass through these! Can you come closer to me?

(Hurt Villager holds Archer's fathers hand)

Hurt Villager: Leave... Me... Here...

Archer's Dad: No. I leave no one behind!

Hurt Villager: Don't make me... Repeat myself...

Archer's Dad: Archer! He can't move! Come here and help me carry him towards that wagon!

(Archer did let go of the handle of the grass carrier and went on his dad but he forgot his weapon on the carrier)

Hurt Villager: Don't make a promise that you know you can't even keep.

Archer's Dad: I said because I will. And I will because I can. Trust me.

Hurt Villager: Xavier did promised to humanity a safe place to live... And he didn't kept his words. What about you...

Archer: I'm almost there!

Hurt Villager: You only make my passing more... Painful...

Archer's Dad: See?! Let's go!

(Hurt Villager not responding)

Archer's Dad: Hey...

(Tapping the face of the hurt villager)

Archer's Dad: No... Hey... No no no. HEY!

(Hurt villager still has no response)

Archer's father looks on Archer with tears in his eyes and Archer stopped running and kicks the debris around due to anger and disappointment.

Archer's Dad: I'm sorry...

(Archer's Dad let go of the villagers body and placed their hand across and they saw a flash of light)

Archer's Dad: Archer... Let's go to the palace. Maybe we can find someone else to save on our way there.

(Archer decided to walk towards his fathee from few steps)

Archer: Yeah... I hope we can find someone or somebody at least.

Archer's Dad: I do believe we can save someone out here. Even if just one li-

(Dark Orb's hand pierces through Archer's fathers chest)

Archer: WHAT?! FATHEEERRR!!

(Archer's dad cough blood)

Dark Orb: I told you... Don't make a promise if you know you can't even keep it.

(Dark Orb pulled out his arm and pierce again Archer's fathers chest causing to grab his heart out)

Archer: N... N... NO... NOOOO!!

(Archer's father raising his hand slowly hoping to touch archer)

Archer's Dad: Archer... Save... Your... Mother...

(Dark Orb crushed Archer's fathers heart and the body falls on the ground leaving Archer shocked)

(Archer's fathers body thuds)

Dark Orb: Now... Your soul... Is... MINE!

Dark Orb grabbed Archer's fathers head to pull his soul out. Archer sees how his fathers soul is resisting not to be taken away from his mortal body. Archer can't do anything because he was too stunned and just watched it all happen.

(Present)

While Bloodlust is telling Palasso the story, he noticed his eyes seemed to get angrier.

Bloodlust: Do you still want me to continue?

(Palasso closes his eyes and breathe)

Palasso: Go ahead.

Bloodlust: After Dark Orb took your fathers soul out, he quickly threw him in the Soul Chest. That chest has the ability to store an endless amount of souls which allows him to carry it along him and everytime, whenever, he wants to harvest souls from the surface land. Brainwash each and everyone of them and turn him against the Gods and the humanity to save the king of the underworld, Diablo.

Palasso: That is how Diablo's army grow and got the underworld became even more better and stronger...

Bloodlust: Yes... So. Going back to your brother, he also saw how Dark Orb take possession of your father's body. And kill other guardians he see. Dark Orb even used your dad to harvest the soul of the dead corpse and the living survivors soul who didn't make it back to the palace underground base.

(Bloodlust demonstrates how Dark Orb did it)

Bloodlust: Everytime he sees or passthrough someone, somebody's soul is absorbed in to the Soul Chest. When he reach the center of the town, he placed his Soul Chest on his foot and lift his hands up and said the forbidden spell. That is what he call... Dark Harvest.

Palasso: What happened to my brother?

Bloodlust: Well. After months of repairing your town and palace, your brother also joined the training camp. But he got his plans why he joined in.

Palasso: What is that?

Bloodlust: Your brother got the information he needed about the exact place and how to get to the Dark Village.

Palasso: Dark Village?

Bloodlust: Since he excels on his field of choice, he was the first bowman to make a step out beyond the gate. Everytime he sees a bounty hunt for animals and evil entities, he grabbed it alone but little we did realize that he plotted his plans too...

Palasso: He made his plans to go to the Dark Village? For what?!

Bloodlust: To get your father back to life. He has two options; either he will bargain with Dark Orb or fight him. He tried to go to the center of the Dark Village to enter the portal. But... It wasn't so easy...

(Flashback)

Despite of his wounds from the previous encounters from the high ranking Chaos Knights, he still managed to stand and the became the first human to step on the portal. When he stepped in, he falls from above and landed on the hot ground and green boiling lava is surrounding him. Archer slowly stands up on his both feet and didn't hesitate to look Dark Orb into his eyes directly and shouted at him.

Archer: DARK ORRRRRRBBBBB! GIVE MY FATHER BACK OR I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!

(The army of the underworld laughing at Archer)

Dark Orb: Did you really... Get through all of that and got here... Just to say those words?

(The army of the underworld laughs louder)

Archer: Let go of my father's soul in exchange of mine.

(Dark Orb tilts his head and analyzed Archer's body and soul)

Dark Orb: Your body is far way more better than this body of your father that I have possession with. You know there is no turning back once I am in control. Right?

Archer: I am aware of that.

Dark Orb: Brave...

Dark Orb raised his hand and orders the underworld council to set free Archer's fathers soul and body. The body rolls down the stairs from the throne and thuds.

Dark Orb: Now... I've done my part, how about yours?

Archer: Not until I assured my father leaves this place first.

Dark Orb: How can I assure that you won't lie to me... Mortal?

Archer: I am man on my word.

(Archer wrapped his daggers with chains on his fathers hands, kissed him on the forehead and stood back)

Archer: Now. Get my father out of here.

Dark Orb smiled and ordered his two low ranking members of the pillars including Bloodlust to send the corpse of Archer's father back to the surface land. When the portal closes Archer summoned casted a spell and summons Bright Spear which he learned from the library of the palace and aimed for Dark Orb.

However, Archer was struggling to wield the spear. The wielder must first have clean intentions, with pure heart and soul. But at that moment, Archer carries his anger, hatred and vengeance towards the evil which makes the spear heavier but Archer didn't give up. He was still lifted the spear due to his determination and desire to end Dark Orb so Diablo won't be resurrected.

Archer: VANISH! DARK ORRRRRBBBBB!

Dark Orb: Attack him!

With shoulder's heavy and his legs are shaking, his right body are numb Archer still manages to make the throw. Bright Spear boosts towards Dark Orb so fast like a blink of an eye but unfortunately Archer just hit Dark Orb on his left eye and burns his entire left face from light.

Dark Orb: Grrrraaaggghhhh!!

The underworld army attacks Archer and he still fought with his barehands. Archer use his opponents weapons to fight, he is doing well but unfortunately the high ranking members of the seven pillars step in. They are called Seven Sins.

First Sin: Finally... A worthy opponent!

(First Sin walks in and second, third and fourth sins interrupted him)

Fourth Sin: Leave this mortal to us...

First Sin: Just make it quick. But make him suffer...

(First Sin hops out the field and went to Dark Orb)

Archer: I can take you all by myself!

Second Sin: Too confident...

Third Sin: I won't be so sure if I were you.

Everyone got into their stance and begin the fight. Archer managed to fight even if he is weak because of the wounds he still managed to fight longer and left wound marks on each of the sins he fought.

(Archer got down on his one knee and strikes the sword on the ground)

Archer: I... I can still win...

(Archer shakingly trying to stand up)

The Seven Sins are just watching him and then the lowest member of the lower 7 pillars decided to jump in and interfere attempting to finish Archer.

7th member: I'm done watching you mortal!

7th member landed in front of Archer and wields his sword attempting to s***h from above.

(Archer opened his left eye and dodges the attack by spin behind the opponent when it landed)

7th member: WHA-WHAT?!

Archer: You're too weak...

(Archer slashes the 7th member's hand which causes to let go of his weapon)

7th member: Grrraaagggghhhhh!!!

(7th member tried to regain his balance and s***h back to Archer)

Archer: Out of my way!!

Archer performed a quick slashes on the 7th member which makes his body breaks apart and revealed his Lava Core. When Archer saw that he grabbed it and crushed it with his own hand.

Dark Orb and the Seven Sins witnessed that moment and the Seven Sins nods their head. Second, Third and Fourth Sins decided to leave the ground and tried to cure themselves from higher ground distance.

Archer: Why... I... I can... I can... Still... FIGHT!

(Archer raised his sword and shaking while he is catching his breathe)

Dark Orb: You will pay for what you have done to my face! MOOORRRTAAAALLL!

(Dark Orb walks out with the wounded)

First Sin: Would you mind telling me your name... Mortal?

Fifth Sin: Yeah! So that we can tease the boss.

Sixth Sin: What you did here will be remarkable. I hope the people from the surface land knows that too.

Archer: Archer. Name's Archer.

First Sin: Archer... When you die and wenr along side with Goddess Athena and her members, fight me.

Fifth Sin: Archer... You have impressed the strongest member of the Seven Sins.

(Portal opens and Bloodlust rushes to Archer and stabbed him from the back)

Archer: Gaaacckk!!

Bloodlust: Time's up... Mortal.

(Archer coughs blood and stares at the Seven Sins as they walk away)

Bloodlust: Rest...

Bloodlust slowly pushes the daggers deeper on Archer's chest and Archer groans and had his last glance of the portal closing.

(Present)

Palasso: What happened to my dad? Is that how you obtained my brothers chained daggers?

Bloodlust: Yes. I only knew your brothers name from your father when he gave me his last words before I kill him again.

Palasso: What?

Bloodlust: Your father wished to die since he is soon to reach old age. He doesn't want to see his family suffer just like Archer, doing his best to revive him back. Your father also asked me to end his and Archers suffering too.The moment I killed your brother? That is the same moment on how I became the 7th member of the lower pillars of the underworld.

Palasso bowed his head and clunched his fists with Archer's necklace. He grips it and looks back at Bloodlust.

Palasso: Now tell me... How did you get this?

(Palasso raises Archer's necklace)

Bloodlust: Well... That was from your brothers last words. He told me to give that to you when you are at the right age and when we get a chance to fight. I have kept an eye on you ever since you are born and two little siblings got adopted. Your 1 year at the surface land is only couple of weeks in underworld.

Palasso: So... A single day from surface land is just an hour in the underworld.

Bloodlust: Exactly. Now... You know.

(Bloodlust stoods up and stretching his arms)

Palasso: No wonder why underworld forces grown bigger and faster huh?

(Palasso placed wears the necklace and went for his weapon then stands up)

Bloodlust: Shall we?

(Bloodlust spins the chained daggers around him)

Palasso: The fact that you are from the underworld, I commend you for being worthy opponent.

Bloodlust: I may be evil in your eyes... But I do fulfill my victims final wishes except if they want to kill myself. HAHAHAHAHA!

Palasso: Silly... Now, don't disappoint me since you have my brothers weapon.

Bloodlust: I'm going to ask you the same thing... Human.

Bloodlust begin the first move of attack to Palasso by letting go of the Chained Dagger to land towards Palasso but he missed. Palasso dashes at random directions of the trees and shots his bow at the same time.

Bloodlust: That reminds me of your brothers movement according to Fourth Sin!

(Bloodlust blocks one arrow and dashes forward to Palasso)

Palasso: Wha-?!

Bloodlust strikes his daggers to Palasso scratching his stomach and Palasso made a step back to make a distance between him and Bloodlust.

Palasso: He analyzed my movement... This is bad. I haven't figured out his timing.

Bloodlust: I told you...

Bloodlust licks Palasso's blood from the dagger causing Palasso's stomach to hurt.

(Palasso grunting)

Palasso: What is going on?!

Bloodlust: Now you know why I am called Bloodlust... I take my opponents blood and for me to regain energy and also to make me more faster than before...

Palasso: That's it! I should have anticipated it!

Bloodlust was smiling at the background and drags the daggers on the floor and then jumps to dash forward to Palasso. Palasso is mainting his distance and still analyzing Bloodlust timing of attacks.

(Bloodlust and Archer landed on the ground and Archer steps backward)

Bloodlust: Hmmm? Feeling tired yet?

Palasso: Hagh!

(Palasso deployed his smoke attack blinding Bloodlust and he disappeared)

Bloodlust: You can run Palasso... But I'll find you...

Palasso is dashing from one tree to another and he figured out something. He needs to find a poisonous snake and extract a blood from that. Then, he will drink that blood and that will serve as his protection against Bloodlust.

(Palasso catching his own breathe)

Palasso: This is not good... I'm running low on mana and running out of time. I must do this plan.

(After few more dashes from trees he finally found one poisonous snake)

Palasso: Finally! I'm sorry little friend...

Palasso shoots the snake with his arrow, grabbed the snake and the arrow then went to the side of the cliff.

(Palasso skinning the snake)

Palasso: Wish me luck...

Palasso turned the skin of the snake into a bowl in which he is going to fill it with snakes poisonous blood to drink. Palasso slashed the neck of the snake and drained it. After that, he went for the snake skin bowl and drink it and also ate the skin.

(Palasso finished drinking and coughs)

Palasso: Geez... This is worst than Max's favorite beer... Bleeehhh!

Palasso burns the snake corpse and threw it on the pile of tree branches to give sign to Bloodlust. Bloodlust rushes in and slashes Palasso's arm but he just for a scratch.

Bloodlust: You are trying to eat during the chase?!

(Bloodlust kicks off the burning tree branch)

Palasso: I've gotten weaker and slower...

Bloodlust: That's the disadvantage of being human... Palasso...

(Bloodlust licks the blood on his dagger)

Bloodlust: We have the ability to regenerate and can live for hundreds of years. While y-!

(Bloodlust felt his lava core aches and he taps his chest)

Bloodlust: What is... Happening...

Palasso: I drinked the blood of the snake that you saw...

(Palasso took the chained daggers)

Bloodlust: You... You're smart...

Palasso: Took me sometime. But, it was worth the wait.

(Palasso spins the chained dagger around him)

Palasso: Any last words... Bloodlust?

(Bloodlust sat down on the ground and his palms on his knees)

Bloodlust: I accept my defeat on the hands of mortal. But, I have a favor...

(Bloodlust opened his palm and lift it then smoke appears on his palm and turned into a photo)

Bloodlust: This is the last photo of me and my family. Behind that photo is written where the me and my wife vowed, on the valley and throw it on the ocean.

(Palasso stopped spinning the daggers and took the photo)

Palasso: I will do that for you.

Bloodlust: Thank you... Now... Go on...

Palasso spins the daggers and slashes Bloodlust to pieces and leaving his lava core exposed.

(Palasso picked up the lava core)

Bloodlust: One last thing...

(Bloodlust's head is getting back together slowly)

Bloodlust: I know where one of the Seven Spirit is... Fulfill my favor and you will know after that.

Palasso nods his head and he let go of the lava core which Bloodlust is back.

Palasso: I will spare you... Go.

Bloodlust: You... I've killed your brother and your father! I deserved to-
