The Highrise

Lexie loves her walk to work everyday.She makes her way through downtown Fort Worth to Texas Roadhouse where she works as a waitress.She doesn't do bad being pretty helps but she isn't the type that puts to much emphasis on that. She generally works the evening shift because that's when tips are the best.Everyday on her way to work she likes staring up at the highrises.Their is one in particular that has always caught her attention. The Baxter building stands pretty much in the center of downtown and is also the tallest.Thats not what makes it Lexie's favorite building though.What makes it Lexie's favorite building though What makes it her favorite is that it's a solid black seventy story Highrise and it's the only one that looks that way in the city. She makes her way into her place of business,washed her hands and puts on her apron. The night went by and so did work.When her shift ended she counted her tips one hundred and ten she said to herself not half bad. She made her walk home through the street lit city. She knew she couldn't be a waitress all her life and she had gone to college to be an accountant.She really enjoyed waitressing because of all the people she met there but lately she had been thinking maybe it's time to grow up and apply for accounting jobs. Besides she could always go back to waitressing if she wanted to.
