I woke up in a warm embrace. I rolled over to see Logan asleep next to me. We must have fallen asleep watching the movie. I took the time to really look at Logan. He had a small scar above his left eyebrow which only seemed to make him more handsome. I wanted to put my hand on his cheek but decided against it.
“Good Morning.” He grumbled without opening his eyes.
“Good Morning.”
He opened his eyes and smiled at me. “I think you are even prettier when you first wake up.”
I rolled my eyes and went to get out of bed but he pulled me back. “I’m not kidding Jaclyn, you are beautiful. I can’t believe you agreed to help me last night. Let alone you gave up your Friday night to spend time with me.”
“You think I am beautiful?”
“Are you kidding? You really have no clue. I think that makes you even hotter.”
I felt my cheeks burning. Before I could say anything, somebody started knocking on my door.
“I’m going to go to the bathroom while you get the door.” He stood up and walked out of the room.
I opened my door to see Liam standing there looking ragged. He had stubble on his normally clean shaven face and he looked like he had slept in his clothes from last night.
I did’t say anything, I just stepped to the side and let him walk in. “Is something wrong Liam?”
He didn’t respond, he just started at Logan’s shoes and shirt, sitting on the floor. Before I was able to ask him another question, Logan walked out of the bathroom. “Hey Liam. What are you doing here?” Logan asked, grabbing his shirt off the floor and pulling it over his head.
“You didn’t respond to my text messages last night. I was worried.”
Logan raised an eyebrow. “Worried about me or worried about Jaclyn?”
I didn’t understand what was going on, but I felt really uncomfortable. Logan looked at me and said, “I am going to go get changed really quickly. Then I want to take you for breakfast.” He kissed my forehead and walked out of the room.
Liam ran his fingers through his hair before looking at me. “Did you sleep with him?”
I chuckled, but not a funny chuckle but a pissed chuckle.. “Well, we fell asleep watching a movie. But if you mean, did have s*x with him, the answer is no. Gosh Liam, I haven’t even been kissed. Thank you for assuming the worst of me.”
“I’m sorry I just, I just, I don’t know.”
Was he jealous? Who was he to be jealous when he was engaged and never told me? “Look Liam, I am going to jump in the shower and get ready. I suggest you do the same. I am sure your fiancé wouldn’t like you showing up looking like you had just got out of bed.” I turned and went into my bathroom.
I took a quick shower and got dressed.I checked to make sure Liam left before I applied a little bit of mascara and chapstick. No sooner had I turned off the bathroom light and there was a knock at my door. Smiling, I opened it up to a fresh looking Logan.
He put out his arm.”My Lady.”
Giggling, I took his arm and off we went to breakfast.
After eating breakfast, we were making our way back to my car. “How do you know Liam?” I asked Logan.
“He is my stepbrother but our Dad adopted me when I was 2 so my last name is Carter.”
“Oh, I didn’t see that coming.”
Again Logan started laughing hard. “Go on a date with me tonight.”
“That sounded more like a statement and not a question. But ok.”
“OK?” He said, confused.
“Yes, Ok.”
“You just made me the happiest man. Be ready by 6 and wear something nice.”
I dropped him off in front of our dorm room and I headed to Lisa’s house. I was about to go on my first date. I can’t believe it’s finally happening.
Jayson’s POV
6 months and we still haven’t found her. Beau was going crazy. I had become more ruthless because I didn’t care about anything. I just wanted Jaclyn back. I had new hope. Today I had a meeting with some witches. Most of them were wiped out years ago, but there are still a few covens in Alabama.
“Alpha the witches are here.” My Beta said.
“Show them in.”
In walked 3 pretty women. One was tall with long black hair. The second was just as tall with short black hair and the third was short with white blonde hair.
The short one with the white blonde hair spoke first. “To be summoned by an Alpha is unusual. We know of your reputation and we do not want any trouble, Alpha Jayson.”
The tall one with the long black hair spoke next. “We have kept to our territory and have caused no problems with any pack.”
“Ladies, please sit. Can I get you anything to drink?” They looked at each other and the blonde woman spoke again.
“No thank you. We are wondering why we are here.”
“How about we start with introductions. You all know me as Alpha Jayson but I don’t know your names.”
The blonde spoke again. “I am Jaimi.” Pointing to the one with the short black hair. “This is Piper and this is Caleigh.” Finally pointing at the one with the long black hair.
“Nice to meet all of you. I have a proposition for the three of you. I need to locate somebody. What will it take for you to do a location spell for me?”
They looked from one to another. Piper finally asked, “Is this another Wolf?”
“She did have a wolf but her wolf was killed in the box.”
They all exchanged looks. I couldn’t tell what they were thinking. Finally, Caleigh said “It won’t be an easy spell. The items we will require will take some time to gather. We will give you the list and once it is ready we will try it. The box doesn’t kill her wolf. It forces it to point that it appears to the human half that she has lost her wolf.”
“Wait her wolf isn’t dead?”
Piper continued. “No she isn’t dead but it makes her very difficult to track. The BOX was designed to basically put the wolf in a box. If you can get her wolf back, it will be like the wolf was dreaming. Her wolf can see what is happening on the human side, but it is almost as if it’s a dream. But sometimes this can cause her to not be locatable or be a bit tricky.”
“How does she get her wolf back?”
Jaimi spoke this time. “We will tell you and we will help you, but we want a treaty with you. If we help you, if we are ever in need, your pack will come to our aid. This includes if we are being attacked by another pack.”
I didn’t need to think this over. I needed my Luna back. “Deal.”
Jaimie reached to shake my hand. “We will be back tomorrow with the treaty and the list of items we will need.”
As soon as they left, Beau started to go crazy. Jumping around and wagging his tail.
‘We can get Nova back!”
‘Do you think it will be enough for me to get Jaclyn back?’
'I know she will come back for Nova. We just have to show them how much we love them to get them to stay.’
‘Then that is what we will do.’
