Chapter 20

Against my better judgement, I decided to offer my help. “Have you eaten?” He looked up in surprise. “Not yet.” “Tell you what, I will go and get a pizza and something to drink and I will help you unpack.” His smile made my knees go weak. “What kind of pizza?” “What do you like?” He laughed. “You are going to make fun of me. But I eat anything, but I really just like plain cheese.” “Perfect cause I just like plain cheese too.” With that I smiled and made my way out of his room. After getting an extra large pizza, some soda, and some snacks, I headed back to his room. Knocking with my foot, I waited for him to open the door. Seconds later, he opened the door. Without his shirt on. Really without his shirt. Again I felt my knees go weak. He quickly grabbed the pizza and soda from me and walked back into his room. After eating, we started to unpack. He had me laughing through the entire evening. After about 3 hours, he was unpacked and lying comfortably on his bed. “So where is your room?” He asked while raising his eyebrows. “I am your friendly RA. So I am about 4 doors down.” “Wait, so you have your own bathroom?” I had just taken a sip of soda and I almost spit it out. “I do have my own bathroom.” “Can I use your shower?” “What?” “I hate taking showers in the giant open shower room. Not to mention, people don’t wear flip flops and it's just nasty. I mean I was living in a frat house, so that bathroom wasn’t much better.” "Won't your girlfriend be upset if you shower at mine?' "Girlfriend? What girlfriend?" I awkwardly looked at my hands. "The redhead from the frat house." He let out a healthy loud laugh. "I don't even know her name. She saw me leaving and said something about not wanting to miss a chance. I don't even know her." After a minute of looking at him and realizing he was telling the truth, “Fine, get your stuff.” He jumped off his bed and kissed my cheek. “You are amazing.” He quickly grabbed his stuff and we made our way to my room. “Wow! This has to be the cleanest room I have ever seen.” “Uh thank you.” Little did he know, after years of cleaning as an Omega, I had a desire to keep everything clean. “I’m going to shower really quickly and if you don’t have anything else to do, maybe we could watch a movie.” And before I could respond, he quickly shut the bathroom door. While he was in the shower, I responded to a text message from my best friend Lisa. She was getting ready to go out with her boyfriend and wanted to drag me along to the bar. I loved her dearly but she is always trying to set me up on blind dates or she is trying to drag me to the bar. Call me silly, but I didn’t want my first date to be with a stranger. I guess a part of me assumed I would get my first kiss at the same time. Snapping me out of my thoughts, Logan walked out of the bathroom. And jumped on my bed next to me. “So what movie do you want to watch?” I really don’t have a strong opinion on movies. Since the only movies I have watched were over the last 6 months. “ I haven’t really watched many movies, so anything is fine with me.” He looked at me strangely but didn’t ask. “I think something scary so you want me to put my arm around you.” I rolled my eyes and leaned back on my bed. He decided to put on IT. Apparently, this movie was made a second time but he said we would start with the original. Needless to say, I did end up in his arms. Well, he put his arm around me when I tried to hide under the covers. “So what do you think?” “I think I need to watch a Disney movie now.” I didn’t think my comment was that funny but he started laughing and he was laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes. He finally stopped laughing when his phone started to vibrate. He checked his phone and responded to a text, I assume. “This has been one of the best nights I have had in a long time.” After that kind of comment, I figured out what kind of text he had just received. I wasn’t the naive girl I was a year ago when I lived in a pack house. “Me too.” Was all I could get out. He stood up and walked back to my mac. “Have you ever seen ‘The Princess Bride?’” “Nope” “Great, I am going to go to the bathroom and we will start the next movie.” I didn’t hold back. “I figured after that message you had other places to go.” “Why would I leave when I am alone with the prettiest girl on campus.” He then walked into the bathroom. I was grateful he walked away because my face turned a deep shade of red and I didn’t know how to respond.
