Avarice's point of view
I flipped my hair as I stepped on the truck's gas pedal. The vehicle started to run faster, though I know I am leaving someone behind, the best thing to do for now is to bring the injured soldiers into the headquarters. I already witnessed lots of death, but my guilt is eating me up if I don't help those people who want to survive.
"Hi Miss Corporal"
I immediately flinched and hit the brakes when Sin's grinning face suddenly appeared beside me, I almost die out of shock there!
"Did I scare you?" Sin chuckled.
This bastard.
"Everything is out of control isn't it?" he asked which is obvious, so I decided to continue to drive.
"I'm sorry, your highness" Is what my mouth only said, we shouldn't have underestimated the situation. We didn't think of it carefully, we did not think of the circumstances and damage.
"Well then, gotta go. My brother's had arrived, I should do the helping too"
W-what?! His brothers?! The Princes?!
"See ya' later!"
He quickly snapped his fingers and disappeared.
I flipped my hair as I fix the truck's side mirror, a large dark smoke filled the whole area which for sure I know was caused by the Princes.
So they came...
Angelique's point of view
"Where's Lucia?!"
"Excuse me?" the girl with a red cap asked, confused about what am I doing here at their headquarters.
As soon as I knew the news that Lucia got to join the battle between the demons to stop the invasion, I can't help myself but worry about her situation. Fortunately, I got to meet Sadira on the street once again and she taught me where the headquarter is located.
"Who are you and how did you two get here!?" she asked, pointing me and Sadira.
"That's not fcking important, I want to see Lucia now!"
"Ms. Killea?" a young woman suddenly approached. "Who're they?"
"Where the fck is Lucia?!" I shouted.
"I am Bliss, Ms. Killea's weapon developer assistant. Would you mind introducing yourself first?"
"Why the fck would I?!"
"Could you please calm down?!" the woman named Killea exclaimed. "They are currently on the battlefield and I'm pretty sure everything is under control"
"Ms. Killea about that"the assistant interrupted. "Corporal Avarice called via radio, and she said they had to fall back because they miscalculated the situation"
"WHAT?!"
I can't help but butt in, this is getting on my nerves!
"Where is she?" the woman named Killea started to walk her way to somewhere, so the three of us started to follow her steps.
"Probably a mile away from here for now" Bliss answered. "I already ordered the medical patrols to get ready, so you don't have to worry, Ms. Killea"
"How 'bout Lucia? Is she alright?!" I inserted.
"Hey" Killea slightly pushed both of me and Sadira when we reach a weird corridor. "Wait here, for now, we'll give you news when the corporal arrives"
"Are you fck-"
"She's right, Angelique" Sadira said which makes me pause.
I guess I don't have any choice. After a long minute of waiting, a woman with blooded armor arrived breathing heavily while walking her way inside the location where Killea and her assistant are.
"Some bad thing is going on" I whispered towards Sadira, which only shift her gaze towards the woman's direction.
"What will you do if Lucia died?"
I paused for a minute and grabbed the collar of the woman beside me, how dare she fcking say that!
"What the fck? That's not gonna happen!"
"I'm just asking" she stated and so I released her. "We can't be so sure, the base of that woman's appearance? I bet she's the only one who made it out alive"
Fck, I can't let such a thing happen! I know I don't have the guts when it comes to fighting but I just can't accept the fact that one of my friends will die here in hell!
"Where are you going?"
She asked as I started to walk my way outside the headquarters.
"I have to save Lucia"
"You can't" Sadira grabbed my wrist to stop me. "You don't have any powers or anything to save her, you'll just gonna put yourself in trouble"
"Then what in the goddamn fck am I gonna do?!" I shouted. "Let her die?!"
"She's not dead"
A familiar voice suddenly appeared out of nowhere, I quickly turn my head around and see the Prince who once cornered me to have a conversation. On his arms was the unconscious Lucia I've been craving to see. I can't help but cry, she's not supposed to deal with those demons if only we can get out of here with Phoenix...
"She's fine, her body is healing. She just lost consciousness on the battle, we will take good care of her here in headquarters so you don't have to worry" Dark stated.
Though, I still remember the thing we talked about.
"Dark!" Killea quickly approached the Prince of Envy and examined Lucia's condition.
"She needs to rest due to the wounds," Killea said, she signaled something with some of the patrols nearby causing them to get her and delivered towards a room.
I followed them together with Sadira, for now, I want to stay by her side no matter what happens.
Killea's point of view
"We manage to block the hole on the gate so you don't have to worry about it" Dark stated as soon as we get inside the meeting room.
Corporal Avarice also joined us after making sure the injured soldiers are still okay.
"How about the ultima? The weapon I developed to kill the demons, is it still not powerful enough?"
"About that, I guess Cloud should be the one you're asking. He's at Malvido Sitio now together with my brothers"
I sighed, I guess Cloud will no longer be joining us here in the headquarters since Igneous is already here in the city. Igneous is really strict when it comes to rules, I can't help it, but he has a point since they are the princes of this hell.
"I'll pay them a visit then"
Dark stared at me, trying to figure out if I'm hesitating or something. He knows how uncomfortable I am together with them.
"I'll come with you, I would like to have an apology to the Princes about what happened" Avarice inserted.
"If that's what you want" he stated. "We'll prepare some gathering for a small celebration for the princes' reunion. We will be waiting" the last thing he said before disappearing right in front of me.
Avarice turned her gaze over me. "I'll tell the authorities" then she left afterward.
"Ms. Killea, are you sure?" Bliss asked as soon as I sat down, massaging my temples.
"I don't have a choice" I answered.
"Then" she paused. "I'm coming with you"
I stared at her for a minute.
"But-"
"It's fine Ms. Killea, it's been million years since we saw each other" she faked a smile. "He surely forgot"
Angelique's point of view
When Lucia got back to her senses, she told me everything that happened at the battlefield. I felt so sorry for letting her do those things, even though she doesn't have any sort of strength or powers.
"Excuse my intrusion" the woman with blooded armor earlier suddenly came in.
"A small gathering will happen later at Malvido Sitio, it would be kind if all the authorities will come," she said while flipping her hair.
Is it okay? Will it be necessary if Lucia's not gonna be there? She's been through a lot since we arrived here in this fcking place, I know she's really exhausted.
"Fine, I'll be there"
What?
"But-"
"Then, that's settled. We'll be waiting for you there Colonel"
I gritted my teeth, I hate this btch for some reason. Afterward, she left while glaring in my direction, I really hate her and her whole existence.
"It's fine Angelique" Lucia said. "You'll come with me right?"
That moment I swallowed the lump on my throat, I don't really want to butt in with those princes since the very start.
"I should be leaving now," Sadira said which was standing behind me since earlier.
"You're Sadira, right? It's nice meeting you" Lucia stated.
"Likewise" she answered and slightly bowed. "Then, I'll be leaving first Angelique" she continued then left.
As soon as both me and Lucia were the ones left in the room, she held my hand and said.
"I.. saw, Phoenix earlier"
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.
"She's there" Lucia gasped. "I think she's the one behind all of this"
