The Seven Princes of Hell

Chapter 17

Lucia's point of view

Both me and Angelique were locked up inside a room for our safety, she told me everything that happened earlier about Igneous fighting Sadira and she also mentioned that Sadira is an angel of God.

Is it possible that she's the one behind all of the happenings? And Phoenix still wants to kill me despite our friendship?

"Everything is fine, Angelique" I told her.

Angelique is still trembling in fear of what had happened, even I, is still scared to the possible outcomes, but I have to be positive and hope that Death will come back as soon as they finish protecting the City.

"Will we get out of here alive?"

"Of course" I smiled. "We are"

"No, you're not"

We both turn our heads at the woman who just spoke and quickly flinched as she draws out her blade and flapped her wings.

"H-how the fck did you get here!?"

"Is that even a question?" Sadira grinned. "I'm an angel after all"

Angelique immediately shove me behind her and begged the angel to stop whatever she was about to do, Sadira just laughed and glared at me.

"You've caused a lot of damage in this place" she stated. "If you only let us kill you since the beginning, any of us now won't suffer"

I paused for a moment and think of the matter.

Did I cause a lot of damage?

I am hundred percent not certain of what she's talking about. First of all, I did not do anything harmful when I get in here and most importantly I even helped the Corps to take down demons and protect the City. Now she's accusing me of things I have never done in the first place?

"Now, come here" she grinned. "I'll about to end this matter"

"Fine" I stated.

Angelique looked at me with confusion and despair, I smiled at her and took a step forward towards the desperate angel.

"But I think you're misunderstanding something" I continued while slowly walking in her direction. "You are the one causing damage to this place Sadira, if I think about it carefully, you were the one behind all of the demon's invasion and the destroyed gate to protect the City"

She chuckled and massage her temples.

"Yeah-yeah, that's right" her face became serious, and glared at me once again. "It doesn't matter, as long as I kill you, everything is fine"

"Everything is not fine Sadira" I smiled. "You destroyed hell because you are so desperate to kill me. You caused deaths, and now that you did all of those sins, you think-"

"Shut the fck up"

"See? Now you're cursing me, you think an angel would do-"

"I said shut up!"

Sadira suddenly ran in my direction and acted to stab me, fortunately, I managed to avoid it and quickly shove her onto the floor. I grabbed Angelique's wrist and started to run away from that place, we run as fast as we could to escape the angel who's out of her mind since the first place.

But without even a minute passing by, Sadira reached the exit door first before us because of her ability to fly. She shoved us back using her wings and chuckled knowing we can't escape without beating her.

Angelique on the other hand stood up and tried to attack using her fist but Sadira just pushed her away causing her to hit through the walls. I clenched my fist and quickly draw out the weapon that Phoenix gave me, and acted to stab it at her but Sadira's strength is too much that she just slap the blade away and pull me closer to her.

Sadira pointed her blade towards my chest and started to deepen the stab but to our surprise, a sudden force hit her head causing her to stumble through the walls and walls of each room.

"I'm not gonna let you do that"

A familiar voice made me quickly turn my head over the woman who's standing firmly with her sword and wings out.

"P-Phoenix" I cried as I quickly head and hug her tightly.

"Shh" she whispered and patted my head.

Angelique let out a deep sigh after realizing that our friend's back and is now at our side. She quickly joined us and cried as I did.

"Damn you Phoenix!" Sadira shouted as she spits out some dark blood on her mouth. "Traitor!"

Phoenix shoves us behind her back and faced the angel who had been her colleague.

"We only have one mission, but you crossed the line" 

"Who do you think between us is crossing the line huh?!" Sadira quickly jolted her blade towards us.

Phoenix on the other hand manage to stop it using just her hand, she forcefully pushed her away causing Sadira to stumble again on the ground, then she let us run to escape the place while handling the matter all by herself.

As we reached an archway, countless demons are waiting for us outside. I did not expect they'll reach this place and thought that the princes will control everything right away after. 

My eyes quickly shifted as I saw Death in the distance while summoning his weapon. His face has no traces of any emotions while looking at the enemies around him.

Dark flames started to burst and rupture into the whole place, Angelique grabs me as we both started to leave the place, but I couldn't hide the fact that I'm worried about Phoenix's situation if we leave her alone, aside from that I'm afraid that'll be the end of our journey.

Along the way, we encountered two demons with blood dripping on their hands, it seems like they killed a person just now. One of the demons swung his sharp nails to attack us but before it even landed, I pushed angelique away to protect her. And in a second, I was struck in my right arm with its full force. I arched in pain, but still, I managed to get up and hurriedly grab Angelique to escape.

As we continue to run for our lives, we both realize that the two demons are following us. We screamed in terror as one of them struck, thankfully we instantly avoided it from hitting us. I can barely think of anything right now, I'm also starting to feel uneasy because the wound from my right arm hurts so bad. While we're running further away, more and more enemies are following us. 

What should we do now to bring this back to normal?

"Phoenix!"  I shouted as soon as I saw her landed in the air.

I didn't notice that I almost got captured by one of the demons, fortunately, Death came to save me, he grabbed both me and Angelique and quickly vanished from that place. We reached Malvido Sitio in an instant. There, I saw the other princes protecting the palace from the demons. Death quickly joined them and suddenly shouted Phoenix's name, Phoenix on the other hand came with thunder, striking all the demons away.

"Bring them back in the middle earth!" said Death while looking at me.

Phoenix stared at him in confusion, even me and Angelique are surprised by what he just said. But without any hesitation, Phoenix quickly came towards us and snap her fingers revealing the book that brought us here to hell. 

"No!" I shouted and acted to reach Death. I want to reach and hug Death for the last time but he just stared at me with his dark blue sorrowful eyes.

"Farewell, my bride" were his last words before Phoenix spread her wings to cover us away from them.

She whispered words in the book and wrote something on it with her own blood, a sudden light blinded us, and the last thing I knew before losing consciousness.

We're back in the human world.
