Christmas Morning

    I woke up early to my alarm clock buzzing.  It was earlier than I usually got up, but I didn't mind.  After I climbed out of bed, I stumbled over to Zach's dresser and grabbed one of his t-shirts, then I pulled it over my head.  Just to add extra coverage over my body, in case Zeek came out of my mom's room, I slid my arms into the arm sleeves of my robe, then securely tied it.     I made my way to the kitchen, and immediately turned the oven on.  While it was preheating, I absentmindedly went through the motions of brewing a pot of coffee.  I was feeling especially tired, so coffee was an absolute must.  I leaned against the counter, and quickly realized that was not a good idea until I woke up more.     To keep myself awake, I pulled the turkey out of the fridge, and set it on top
