9 Miranda spent the remaining hours of daylight instructing Veronica in the basics of rock climbing. Mandy was not an expert, far from it, she had rock climbed in Victoria, in an area renowned for climbs of varying grades of difficulty from beginner to downright hazardous, and while her experience at the art had never ventured much beyond beginner, she did find she seemed to have a natural ability for it. Had time been on her side, she felt she would have liked to attempt a couple of climbs of greater difficulty but it was not to be. She satisfied herself with the self-promise she would pursue the sport when she finally returned home to England. The UK had a number of famous climbs she was looking forward to attempting.
