I didn’t tell Carmela about what happened with Jared because she already had a lot to worry about with her newborn baby. I stayed in her house until my usual time to head home from work arrived. I plan to have dinner at home since I have been eating out with Devin in town.
I was surprised to see a black SUV parked outside the house when I arrived at home. I went inside the house and called out, “Mom, whose car is that parked outside? I was not able to park properly. It was blocking the way.”
