CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR :
When Alex told Jen of his latest vision, over breakfast, she said, with a resigned sigh, “Why is it that when your body is in bed with me, your spirit is somewhere else with another woman?”
Alex smiled at her comment. “Sorry, sweetheart. You know that it’s beyond my control.”
“I bet that you would have liked to replace her vibrator with something of your own?”
A somewhat disguised look of innocence crossed his face. “Me? The thought never crossed my mind!” he lied, crossing his fingers as though it would make any difference.
“Liar!” She laughed, always enjoying teasing Alex. “Only a gay could resist such a temptation.” Neither was dressed yet, Alex in his boxers and tee-shirt, while Jen was wearing a somewhat brief nightdress. She jumped up and ran round the table
