New Enemy

"Now!" Mira screamed out. Alison took the opportunity to first get low. She didn't really know how it happened, but the man who was acting like the leader was already unconscious on the floor. That was even Alison stormed outside. Others would have been afraid leaving a poor girl like Mira alone with those thugs. But here's what most people didn't know about Mira. She was a trained skilled fighter and had trainings from her late dad who used to be in the navy force. Mira had been learning combats skills from him since she was barely eight years old. He passed away only a couple of years back but Mira was already a professional, and had even gained more skills again on her own. Alison didn't need big hefty guards to protect her..Mira was the perfect person to do that, while also being her personal assistant. After a while when the noise had died down, Alison went back in, making sure everything was settled for real to know if she would really need to run out and call for extra help. "Help, Alison!" That was Mira calling for help. Alison gasped. What could she do? "Where are you Mira! I'm coming." She said, determination hitting her bones. She didn't know where they were, but had carried a long stick she found outside. With slow steps, Alison began to trace that voice to towards her kitchen. "Hi!" Popped out a figure. It was Mira. Alison jumped up, "Oh thank God, you're okay!" Relief washed over her face as she threw the stick down. Mira smiled and hugged Alison. "I have to tie them before they wake, so we can question them." Alison was still a bit surprised to see Mira looked tiredless, although she saw blood traces on her lips and forehead. "Mira you're hurt! Blood..., I'm so sorry." Alison felt pity. "Oh these?" Mira continued dragging their unconscious bodies to the kitchen. "This was from earlier. I got kidnapped by these thugs who didn't let us in the party earlier." She explained. Alison found ropes and brought for Mira so they tied those thugs to a chair. She felt like she was in a movie instead of real life! But Mira didn't even flinch. Alison was suddenly glad she had changed her mind about firing Mira. "Wait a minute..." Alison recognized one of the men, the leader. "This is Peter! He's Brad's best man." She cried out in shock. "What the hell??" Mira frowned."Those thugs who kidnapped me? They were from Maria, Brad's mother." "What? I don't understand. Why won't they just leave me alone?" Alison cried out. They had tied the men to chairs now, binding their arms and legs. "And this is so strange! I feel like I'm in one of my mafia romance novels, Mira. Why haven't we called the cops already? Would they even spare us if they see the way we've tied these men up?" Mira's face was still so firm. "You know these men? And they know you too?" Alison nodded."All of them are Brad's messengers." "I overheard the conversations from those morons who took me, they were sent by Maria and some man named Santa or so, I can't remember." Alison's brows arched. "Santa?" Mira paused, "Santos. Yea, I think that's it." This made Alison gasp, "Santos Grayson. What did he say exactly?" Alison knew him, but only through her mystery texter. Santos was an enemy of everyone, including Alison. Santos had a sister who wrote novels too, and when Alison won an award last year, she had created enmity between herself and Santos. Mira shrugged. "Nothing much that made sense. By the way, why did you think Brad sent these buffoons here?" Alison peered at Peter's unconscious body. "He was searching for something. I don't know what, but he was hoping to find something. The whole house was turned upside down." "Well, if you want to call the cops now..." "No." Alison said with a straight face. "I'll be right back." She went to the kitchen and on her way out, came with a bowl of cold water from the sink. Splash! A loud gasp was heard from Peter. He was gasping for air but finally caught his breath. He looked disappointed his mask was off, now he could see Alison's face very well. "Brad would kill you if he found out." Alison said, then 'clicked'! Took a picture of him tied like a criminal by a bunch of girls. "Oh, he would really kill you." "I know you may not believe me, but we mean you no harm." Peter said, shivering in fear now. Although his face still looked strong and firm. Alison smiled. "What were you hoping to find?" "Anything. Brad wants to keep a tab on you..know your every move the past three years." He said instantly. "Let us go now, and no one will get harmed." Mira and Alison both bursted out in laughter. "What's that supposed to mean?" Spat out Mira. "Here's what's going to happen, Peter. I'll let you go back to Brad, and you can tell him whatever you want to. Anything at all but the truth. But you will tell me everything that is happening with Brad, from right this moment...till I no longer need your help again." "Do you think that will be possibly?" Peter grunted. "Oh I dunno. But I know you'll make it possible. Because maybe then, I'll be able to pay off your debt. Guess what? Brad has no more money. You should know that by now." Peter didn't look surprised. He kept his mouth shut. Alison smiled. "So, we have a deal?" Peter gave it a long thought for a while. "Well? Won't you at least tell me something about you that might interest Brad?" "Oh you're going to have to be creative about that." Alison said. "Tell me, what is going on with you and Richard Harrison? By the way, you have made Ella your enemy now. She hates you right from the onset, you know how she can be. Especially now when you've stolen her man."
