We entered the kitchen to prepare and eat breakfast. “I hope you're not acting like this to get me to take it easy on you later today, it's not going to work” I sneered as we sat down. “You wish, you know you can't beat me, at whatever game we play”, As much as I hated to admit it, she was right. She beat me every time, at every game we play. “That changes today. Matter of fact, we don't even have to eat right now. We can get into it” She laughed, “I won't do that, just because I don't want you to have any excuses when I beat you AGAIN”. She's good, she knows how to rile me up. I laughed and agreed with her, “No problem, that streak ends today”. I couldn't wait to find out what the game was. If I want to win, I have to try to play some mind games before and try to throw her off her game. That was the best plan I could come up with. I started with breakfast, then I did it with the drinks. After breakfast, we had the raffle draw and decided on snakes and ladders.
My eyes lit up as soon as I saw it in the paper. “Yes!! Get ready to lose, Finally something I'm good at” I was jumping around celebrating. “One would think you've won already, you're still going to lose Old Man”, She said as we went to bring out the game. I stopped celebrating, she was right. I composed myself and didn't say anything until we started the game. She ended up winning the game, I wasn't surprised but I had high hopes because I was really good at snakes and ladders. I was still pumped up so I challenged her to a rematch, “Let's have a rematch tomorrow, I'm not done yet”. “Don’t you get tired? Take some time off, get better and come challenge me when you're ready” She had a smug look on her face. “I’ll wipe that look off your face tomorrow morning definitely, it's not over yet” I helped her pack up the game and we went upstairs. “Get enough sleep Old Man, I don't want excuses tomorrow”. I smiled and shook my head, “tomorrow can't come soon enough”. I entered my room and plumped on the bed. I tried to sleep for about thirty minutes, I just wasn't feeling sleepy so I sat up and went back downstairs to take the Snakes and Ladders game. I sat down on my bed and brought out the pieces, I spent a good part of the night planning I and Carrie’s rematch the next day. When I was sure I was ready for the next day, I dropped the game on my study table and slept off.
