Chapter 13

Chapter 13~Back At Neverland!

A week had passed. Selena had come up with a few new songs she was thrilled to go over with AB. She even sang a few of them over the phone with Michael.

She sure was missing him. She had not stopped thinking of the kiss on her cheek. More images of them on tour were playing in her mind. As well as getting to see Michael wearing her brand-named clothing.

She hoped he would like what she had created for him. Chris had not cared for her flare of clothing at all. Michael was nothing like Chris. She and Michael were much more alike.

They seemed to understand one another so well. They chatted on the phone when Chris was gone. Or helping her family. She always had the urge to call Michael with some news. Or help with a lyric.

Michael was telling her about his "History" tour that he was working on. He even sang a song for her over the phone. She felt privileged to hear his music over a phone.

She knew these where new songs fans were going to love forever. She adored what she heard already. Selena began to pack the clothing she had for Michael to wear on tour. If they were going to duet together, she planned to have them match on the tour.

"Why are you going to Neverland alone with Michael?" wonders Chris out loud.

"Because I am going over outfits for the tour. I am not going alone. Suzette is coming to remember? Because someone did not want me to go alone?" snaps Selena.

"Baby it is not that I do not trust you" he pouts.

"But if you did you would not send my sister out with me to Neverland" snaps Selena. "face the facts Chris"

"I want this tour to happen. But I know he wants you, Selena. All the men do. You are a beautiful woman. Can you blame me for being jealous?" declares Chris.

"No, I can't I bet I would be jealous myself" she sighs.

He pulls her in his embrace.

"I can't help but be jealous and proud at the same time" he tells her.

"Do you hate MJ?" she worries.

He kisses her lips. "No, I admire him and all he has been through. He is amazing. But he has eyes on you. You need to wake up. Be careful" he warns her.

"You are being stupid Chris. He does not! We are friends only" she declares. "he believes in my music"

"I know. He does. So do I" Chris reminds her.

"Good. I am yours Chris. We are going to get married" she points out. "I am wearing your ring" she shows her hand.

"When do you want to set a wedding date?" he has to mention. "we do need to go over this wedding"

"We do. First let's go through this joined tour. Then after we can set the date. We will have so much money after the tour. For a grand honeymoon to" she adds.

He nods. "Okay" he sighs.

"I love you Chris" she reminds him. "I love you so much"

"I love you to. I really am sorry I missed you singing my song" he softly says.

"I am recording it out at MJ's studio. Can you believe this is really happening to us?" she brags.

"No, I can't. I am happy for you Sel" he tells her.

"Chris one day once I am focused on clothing your day will come. AB will help you get a band going. And I will go on tour to watch you. Will you let me make your bands outfits?" she jokes.

"Sure, only if they did not look like the last ones" he teases.

"Chris you are so bad" she laughs as she slugs him in the arm.

"I will see you to the airport. Everything ready Sel?" he asks her.

She nods. "I think I have it all" she tells him.

She was flying out on Michael's private jet plane. Suzette better arrive soon. She was running late. The doorbell rings suddenly. Her dogs bark.

"I am here! I am here" calls out Suzette.

"Thank heavens" sighs Selena.

Selena adds some more clothing to the pile. Then she was all set.

"We are only going to be there for a few days Jesus Selena" laughs Suzette.

"These are outfits I made MJ" says Selena. "I told him I was bringing them"

"Oh!" answers Suzette.

Chris and AB help the girls put their luggage in the back of AB's truck. Then they head to the private airport after saying goodbye to her parents to.

Soon the girls see the huge private jet Michael sent for them. It read "Jackson" over the side of the jet plane. Chris whistles when he spots the plane there. AB and Chris help the girls lug the luggage onto the plane. Much to Selena's disappointment MJ was not waiting for them on the plane.

"I will miss my baby" Chris coos at Selena. He holds her close on the plane.

"I will only be gone a few days babe" she says.

"I know. I will get lonely" he tells her.

"No, you will party while I am gone" laughs Selena.

"Naw not too much" he jokes.

"You better behave while I am gone" she warns him sternly.

"Yes ma'am" he jokes.

She kisses him. "I will call you once I am there" she vows.

The men head off. They were ready to fly to California. Suzette and Selena sit together and fasten their seatbelts.

"Wow, this is something huh?" says Suzette.

"Michael is amazing" breaths out Selena. She looks out the window and smiles dreamily.

"He sure is. Who is more amazing? Chris or Michael?" jokes Suzette.

"Sorry I do talk about him a lot" she sheepishly says.

"Yeah no wonder Chris is jealous" says Suzette.

"I know. I do not mean for it to happen" sighs Selena.

"What is going on with MJ? You can tell me. I am your sister" says Suzette.

"Nothing!" lies Selena.

"Come on tell me" begs Suzette. "I am not letting up. I was right about Chris before. I am right about MJ" she declares.

"Fine you win" laughs Selena. "I do have a crush that is all. He is older then me" she points out. "he is my mentor that is all"

"A sexy one" jokes Suzette.

"Yes a very sexy one" Selena tells her.

"Truth time. If you were not engaged to Chris would you date Michael?" asks a curious Suzette.

"Of course I would. But that is not an option. I am going to be getting married" says Selena.

"Out of love or obligation?" points out Suzette.

Now she sounded more and more like Michael.

"Both now drop it okay? I want to be happy. Focus on the tour. Y’all wanted this now shut it" warns Selena.

"Touchy" teases Suzette.

Soon they were bored on the plane. And they played gin rummy card game on the plane. And then played guess that tune. By humming the start of a tune.

They played some Mad Libs that Suzette had brought with her. Selena was having a blast by the time they landed. She needed some time with her sister. They always had fun together.

"Selena we are here!" exclaims Suzette happily.

They look out the window. They were actually landing at Neverland! Selena could not believe her eyes. This was amazing. They could see over all of Neverland. It was as beautiful as she remembered it to be. Selena was in aw of all Michael had built here.

"How lovely" gushes Suzette.

"How is my hair? Do I need to freshen up my lipstick?" worries Selena.

"You would think Chris was here" laughs Suzette.

"Sorry I want to look nice" she sighs.

"It is okay" answers Suzette.

They land safe and sound. Then they get out. Workers get their luggage. A golf cart pulls up to get them. Selena can see MJ was in it.

She rushes to his side. Suzette follows her. Joy surges in her. She did not care who saw. She was so happy to see him. She missed him very much the past week they were apart.

"Michael!" exclaims Selena.

"Hi Mike" greets Suzette.

He hugs Suzette once he gets out of the golf cart. Selena was going to just shake his hand. Because of all Suzette had said to her on the plane.

"Go for it" Suzette whispers to her. "I won't tell" she teases.

Selena smiles. Then she hugs MJ. He hugs her tightly.

"Oh it is so good to see you Selena" Michael tells her.

"I am so thrilled to be back here" Selena answers.

"I want to show you all I worked on for the History Tour ladies" he tells them. "follow me and we will head to the house the luggage will be in your rooms"

They hop on the golf cart. Selena in front seat with MJ and Suzette riding in back.

"Hold on tight ladies" he teases them.

They grab on then he takes off. Selena laughs as does Suzette. Her perfect hair whips in the wind. The sun shines in her eyes as the sunset goes down for the day.

She was with Michael. That was all that mattered right now. This was where she craved to be. She was back here. At last. When they get to the house he leads them to his studio. He was eager to show the music he had been working.

"Now I don't normally show my stuff to anyone. Not if it is not done yet. I can be a perfectionist" he warns them.

"So can this one" jokes Suzette as she points over at Selena.

Selena blushes.

"This song I am going to share is called the Earth Song. It is important to me. I think our nature is being destroyed. I want people to be more aware of it. Our planet. Like I made an impact with Heal The World" he explains. Selena nods.

He clicks play. Soon Selena and Suzette are blown away by "The Earth Song" tears well in Selena's eyes as she listens to the true depth in his voice. How you could feel the lyrics in his very voice. It touched her heart deeply. Suzette soon as well was balling her eyes out to.

"Michael!" breaths out Selena once the song was over. "Michael I am blown away" she sniffs back tears.

"You mean that?" he asks her.

She nods. "You are a genius" she praises him.

"Wow, Michael" agrees Suzette. She grabs a tissue. She was balling her eyes out.

"There is so much more to come. I do not want you ladies crying all night. Come have dinner with me" he demands.

He takes them to the dining room. A fantastic five star dinner was waiting on the table for them. They soon ate so much Selena was even stuffed.

After that he took them to his move theatre. They chilled out with a movie. Suzette was sitting in a row ahead of them. And Selena sat beside Michael. They were chatting away and eating snacks now.

Selena was throwing popcorn at Michael whom did not catch a single piece of popcorn.

They giggle. Then a new movie plays.

"I think Suzette fell asleep on us" says Selena. She throws popcorn at her sister's head. Her sister snores.

"Yes you are right" snickers MJ. "I love your family so much they are great" says Michael.

"Most days" jokes Selena.

"I am so glad you are here" he tells her. "I sure missed you" he softly says.

"I missed you more then you will know" she hears herself admit.

"Have you thought any more about that wedding?" he goes to ask with hope in his eyes.

Her heart races. She had no real choice she made yet. How could she when she did not even know where she stood with Michael yet? Or with what she wanted. The movie played.

"Hey this is It Happened One Night" she changes the subject. "With Clark Gable. One of my favorites"

"Mine to. Selena" he sighs. He looks sad.

"Michael!" she answers.

"I have no answers yet. I am sorry" she tells him.

He nods. "I understand" he lies.

She knew he was lying. He was hurting. She could see it all over his face. The urge to kiss him was so strong. She could not keep fighting this. She had to see where this lead. She had to know. She reaches out with shaky hands. She touches his cheek making him look at her. Right in the eyes. He smiles sadly at her.

She swoops in. Not sure what comes over her. Her heart pounding in her ears. Faster then a drum. Her lips fully cupping over his plump round lips. He groans softly as he scoots closer to be nearer to her side.

She feels his lips tug on hers. Curve into hers. Mold with hers. Nothing else mattered around them. His hands sneak into her curls. Then to the back of her head. Her hand lands on his chest. She can feel his neckline. The warmth of his chest.

"Michael" she breaths out after.

"Sorry I am up" exclaims Suzette suddenly as she jumps up. Selena leaps apart from Michael. They both were stunned by the magic of their kiss.

"I better head to bed. I need to call Chris. I forgot to call him. Night, guys" Selena says.

She rushes out of there.

What had she done? This was her own fault. Now what did her heart want?

She had no clue what that heart of hers really wanted. But she better find out before two men she cared about were going to get their hearts broken by her. She had no one else to blame but herself.
