Olivia Ivanov's POV A Night with him He kissed me roughly as we fell on the bed together. I didn't know him and he probably didn't know me as well. He was a stranger but I was giving him my body and my soul. I held him in my tender arms and held his neck. It was intense and breathtaking. I enjoyed it but I knew it had to end there. However, little did I know that it wasn't the end. Instead, it was the beginning. The beginning of our story which we were going to write together. Thorns and roses, huh! ______________________ It was a One-night stand and I woke up alone in the inn. He had left me and I had to find my way all by myself. My name is Olivia Ivanov and I am an orphan born in Mistwood Pack. I had to survive by odd means. I had to cure my boredom and the only way I could do this was going to the bar and taking a drink. The latest outing I went to the bar was where I met a man. I didn't know him and he didn't tell him his name either. “Let's have a One-night stand…” I could still remember his deep, masculine voice telling me the previous night. I accepted. I had been attracted to him since the minute I met him and this was an opportunity to explore what I loved. It went well between both of us but then, I wished I knew him. I wished he would stay in my life. And he eventually did. But of course, it wasn't in the way I was expecting at all. _________________ About three days after my One-night stand, I was invited to the Alpha's mansion. This was my first time going there and I wondered why I was called. The first thing that came to my mind was that I was to be recruited as a maid to serve at the Alpha's mansion. I had to shake this off but I knew it was possible. I was an Omega and using people of our sects as maids was really common and ideal. Cause what other things are we useful for? I expected to see the butler or the Beta or even the Luna but it was a shocking thing for me when I was told that I was to be seen personally by the Alpha. This was quite shocking and I began to think about all I had done in the past. I just hoped that I wasn't sent to be punished. I tried to think of the area where I could have disobeyed the Pack's rules. None came to mind but I was still worried. I had heard bad stories about people who had been arrested by the Alpha. “The Pack's prison is hell!” they would say almost every time. Finally, the Alpha concluded his meeting with some key members of the council and I could see him. I was escorted by some guards and with my heart pounding harder, I walked to the hall. I was praying to the Moon Goddess in my heart as I didn't want to get punished. “Bad news!” My mind kept on thinking. I was trying to be hopeful but it wasn't working at all. My heart was pounding harder as time went by. I was at the hall now. “Greetings, Alpha,” I curtsied respectfully. My head was bowed in reverence to the Alpha's high status. “Raise your head!” I heard the Alpha tell me. His voice was remarkable and it sparked off a memory in my heart. Could it really be… I raised my head up and confirmed this surprising memory. It was the man I had a One-night stand with. Oh my goodness! Unbelievable! “Ohhhh!” I shouted astonishingly. I was so surprised about this. “You are my true mate, Olivia,” he told me. “Would you be my mate and the Luna of this Pack?” ____________________ Nice ascension, huh! Hell yeah! I accepted his proposal and that was where I began to know some things about him. His name was Alpha Lucas and like me, he was also an orphan. His father, the previous Alpha, gave birth to him alone and after his father's death, Lucas took up the position and became the Alpha of Mistwood Pack. Alpha Lucas was thirty years old and this made him five years older than me. I didn't care about the age difference though. It was only five years and it had to be perfect. Lucas was tall, slim, muscular, athletic, cute, and handsome. He was the true definition of an attractive man. The kind of aura which he exuded was superb. His confidence was also on the high side and for all these, I loved him so much. But then, one had to talk about his personality. It was terrible on the first glance but on a closer look, it was more terrible. Yeah! Believe me, he is fairly kind, loving, and lovable but apart from these, he had no other good personality. I was sure this was due to lack of proper upbringing. This attitude had stuck into his life since childhood and now, it wouldn't leave. Lucas is quite aggressive. When I say this, I mean it. He could do the unexpected when angry. I learnt from the old servants that he once strangled a guard to death just because he peeped on him when he was having s*x with one of his concubines. This happened when Lucas was nineteen years old and he wasn't the Alpha then. I asked what Lucas's father did then and I was told that Lucas was grounded for twelve hours for killing someone and after that, it was all over. Jeez! On hearing that story, I got quite nervous. I could see goosebumps gathering all over my skin. This was a reaction to the anxiety I was dealing with. It would have been better if these had only happened in the past but Lucas was still with this aggressive attitude. Whenever he made love to me, he… Oh! He never made love to me. It was all s*x, yeah! It took me time to know this but eventually, I knew that Lucas wasn't in love with me at all. He only approached me because he couldn't get over my body after we had a One-night stand. I was like a s*x-object. The only special feature about me was the fact that I was the Pack's Luna. Except that I wasn't even functioning. I was the Luna on paper and not in any other place. The household affairs, which were supposed to be controlled by me as the Luna was retained by the mansion's butler. I wanted to know why but Lucas told me simply that I was inexperienced and too young to manage the mansion. It was pure robbery as I was smart enough at twenty-five years. But even with all these, it was good. I had everything I needed except Alpha Lucas. I didn't need to worry about chores, food, or shelter. I had enough robes to wear and enough maids to wash my dirty clothes. I wasn't willing to think about this too much. I was comfortable enough with this ascension of mine. I only had to sleep, eat, read books, and have fun all day. At night, I would give Lucas his conjugal rights. My body. But it all changed. Definitely, the moon Goddess didn't want me to be too comfortable in a spot. Lucas began to fall out of love with my body. Yeah, cause that's what he fell in love with in the first place.
