Olivia Ivanov's POV
After the Rejection
I was about to hit Sofia when I had a rethink about it.
It was a very dangerous act and doing it would cost me a lot of things including my life.
Currently, I had been dethroned as the Luna of the Pack and since Sofia was the one in control of Alpha Lucas's heart, she could manipulate him to take my life by punching her. Even if she didn't have him take my life, I knew I would receive more than a thousand punches and countless punishments to account for that one punch which I gave her angrily.
Considering Alpha Lucas's rashness, he could kill me by himself before realizing that I used to be his favorite in the past.
I wouldn't want to be missed in his memory alone. I had to watch my reckless behavior.
Instead, I bowed to Alpha Lucas, thanked him for all he had done for me in the past and I took permission to leave the mansion. Sofia requested that my robe be collected from me but Alpha Lucas let me take the robe with me.
Slowly, I went out of the hall. As I left the premises, I knew I was leaving the past and embracing a new one.
Goodbye, past life!
Hello, new life!

Home.
The only place I could go to no matter the circumstances. My first goal was to get back to the place where I used to stay in the future. I was quite surprised to find out that the building had been demolished. It was unbelievable.
I was so confused about what I could do next. As I sat down there, I noticed some movements in the trees near where I sat.
I knew it was an invader. Slowly, I began to walk away from the premises. I could tell that I would be attacked if I couldn't run away quickly enough.
As expected, the person on the tree came down and chased after me after finding out that his initial plan wasn't going to work. I used all the energy I had left and ran to escape for my life.
It wasn't an easy run but I managed to get past the first man. Unexpectedly, a man confronted me in front. He was dressed in black and immediately, I knew he was with the first man. I tried to run to the back but it struck me that I had been surrounded by assassins. I could spot three men. Two in my back and one in front of me. I couldn't go near since they all had weapons.
“You are Lady Olivia, ain't you?” The man at the front asked me coolly. I didn't need to be told that he was their leader.
“Yes, I am,” I replied slowly.
The men laughed hysterically. It wasn't funny to me at all since my life was on the line.
“When you are asked this question in your next life, do not reply in affirmative…” another of the men told me. This made all the other men burst into laughter.
“Yes, I understand,” I told them. “In this lifetime, if I am asked this question, I would make sure that I do not answer in the affirmative!”
“Too bad, though, since you are going to die right now!” The man at the front told me. He took a knife out of his sheath and headed towards him. I knew what was going on in his mind.
He was probably thinking of stabbing me with that sharp knife.
I remained glued to a spot. I was so shocked that my legs began to shake. I lacked the ability to run away. I had to stay there with fear.
Immediately he tried to stab me, I caught his hand and twisted it to his back. The knife fell in my hands and I pushed him to his colleagues. One of his fellows caught him while the other one tried to chase me. For this one, I threw the knife I had with me and it met him on his shoulder.
Now, I could run freely.
I made an epic escape from three able-bodied men. I loved every single thing that led to this. It was quite remarkable seeing myself escape from these lads.
But then, I knew I couldn't survive in Mistwood Pack again. It had begun to offer threats to my life. I knew my ex-best friend, Sofia, was the one who sent those assassins after me. I still couldn't imagine that I had made her a trusted friend sometime ago.
I had to go to Silverwood Pack. It was the nearest and the most accessible and there, I hoped to start a new life.

Silverwood Pack gave a different vibe from that of my previous Pack, Mistwood.
Mistwood Pack was neater but it didn't have the population which Silverwood Pack boasted of. I could see different people going about. The hustle and bustle was quite notable.
It was late in the evening when I got there and I needed a place to sleep. I had to ask for some indigene and luckily, I was directed to an inn to spend the night.
It looked more of an uncompleted building than an inn but I had to manage.
I had no money with me and I exchanged my robe for a common cloth and a night at the uncomfortable inn where different riff-raffs of different genders slept in one long hall whose walls had been demolished because of the heat.
I had no peace that night.
It was an uncomfortable, restless, and sleepless night for me.

The next day, I woke up to realize that I had fallen hard just like the way I ascended high. I had to think about where I must have gone wrong with this.
I had to take a tour around the Pack in the morning. I needed a good bath, good food, good water, and a good massage.
I had none and this made me realize how much I missed life of affluence.
That day, I had to find work if I was going to enjoy my stay at Silverwood Pack. Everything was paid. Using the toilet, taking a bath, and most importantly, having a meal.
But it was only easy when said. In action, it was like looking for a needle in the beach sand. It was possible if one had a magnet but did I have any magnetic material, no!
I searched all over till afternoon but I could get none. The sun was scorching and I definitely couldn't survive any longer without food.
I had to steal for survival.
I was caught red handed and with evidence. This was something I hoped I would never do in the future.
I was beaten to a pulp by the angry mob and they called to burn me to ashes.
“Stop! Alpha Henry passes by!” I heard the messenger shouting. The crowd dismissed and went to line up at the left and right of the road. Some men wanted to pick me up but Alpha Henry was quick to notice this. He stopped them instantly.
Slowly, Alpha Henry walked to me and bent down. This was the first time I was seeing him but it was with a bloody face.
“You look beautiful, young lady…” Alpha Henry commented.
I could feel my heart skip several beats. I must have fallen in love at first sight.
And with an Alpha.
