Part 16

"Do you bring the present?" William asks as he opens the car door to allow me to get into his car. It's almost 8 PM when he picks me up to go to Jess' birthday. It's not that he doesn't want to come inside and meet my mom. I was the one who told him to just wait in the car while I was getting permission from my mom. I know it wouldn't be too difficult since my mom knew already that I was going with William. She even said okay when I told her that we might come home very late.   I reply as he settles himself in the driver's seat. "I do." Smiling cheerfully, I wave the Apple paper bag in my hand before I put it on the back seat. Yeah, I used the paper bag to carry the wrapped gift.   William closes our face to give me a chaste kiss on the lips. "Let's go then."   He starts the car and heads to Jess' house. She had texted me her address during lunch break today and I forwarded it to my boyfriend. William said her house is not too far from his. I often hear about the area she lives in but never got a chance to go there as I didn't know anyone there before. The place is quite well-known among the citizens of this small town. Jess lives in the area where the higher income earners are living. In other words, her family is rich, although not as wealthy as William. But I wonder if I ever find out about her financial background if she never gave me her address.   "Did your parents say anything?" William's question breaks my attention off of his outfit. He wears a casual-cutting black blazer on top of a black T-shirt, a pair of blue jeans and white sneakers. They look so good on his tall, slim but masculine figure. I think he looks perfect in any kind of outfit.   "My dad's at work. My mom said I should stay close to you if the party's too crowded."   He smirks at that, "You should listen to her, Baby."   I chuckle at his remarks. "I plan to do so." Of course, where else I would be? Parties and crowds are never my thing. I might be getting a hard time blending in them.   "We're here, Lou." William announces as he pulls his car into a driveway of a white residence that has a quite large garden surrounding it. Her house is indeed close from William's. I think it's only ten-minutes-drive.   It's plain to see that the maintenance for those small plants, bushes, flowers, grasses and trees in this garden are being handled by professionals. I look around to see the neighborhood. The distances of these houses are quite far one another. No wonder Jess doesn't have problem throwing party at her house. William parks his car at the provided area where 4-5 other cars have already been parked there.   Following William, I get out of the car and check my appearance through the reflection on the car windows before taking out the birthday present. I wear a long sleeve gray sweater, black jeans, and gray snickers. These snickers are the ones I wear to school also. I don't have too many shoes, only a pair of formal shoes, sport shoes which I leave them at school locker and these snickers. I look modest compared to William, but I hope he doesn't mind. I hope there are other kids who come in just a Tshirt and jeans here.   William holds my hand and lead me to the party area. I can see around thirty or forty people are dancing under a big white tent in Jess' yard where there's a DJ playing some music that I don't really know what song. It's some disco music and I'm not really into it. There are flickering colorful lights everywhere. Some girls are even wearing glitter dresses. Outside the tent, there's a large table setting where many people are gathering around to get some snacks and drinks that are being served there. I can see countless pile of red party cups on that table, where people can just take one and fill it with any type of drink within the available selections. I don't know whether Jess has provided alcohol there also.   Not far from the party area, about twenty feet away, there are three portable toilets being set near the bush corner. I guess she's expecting a lot of people to come here. Well, she's indeed famous. The crowd in her yard is at least reaching sixty already, and it's not even 9 PM. I look closely at the people in the crowd to find Jess. But she's nowhere to be seen. And I can't see Emily as well.   "I can't find Jess. Where do you think she is?" I look at William in askance.   "Let's try to go into her house first. She's probably in there."   I almost want to ask whether it's appropriate to just enter someone's house like that. But I manage to stop myself from asking. William seems to be the one who has been to a lot of parties before, I'm sure he knows what he's doing. As we're about to make our way to the house, someone calls us from behind.   "William! Louis!"   We both turn around to the source of that voice and find a beautiful guy standing in front of us. His shoulder length silvery blonde hair matches with the long sleeves black Tshirt and black skinny jeans he's wearing. Ivan is beautiful, I always know that. But tonight, he is even more breath-taking. I glance at William and I can see it in his eyes that he's also admiring that beautiful sight in front of him. I drop my gaze onto the ground, feeling so small. My existence is completely nothing when Ivan's around.   "You guys came." Ivan says as he walks closer. He holds a red paper cup in his hand.   "Yeah, Louis is invited." William answers.   "I guess this girl is inviting the whole school. Look at this crowd." Ivan marvels upon the crowd as he's commenting. It's clear to see that he doesn't know Jess that well. Hmm, I don't either though, but at least she considers me as one of her best friends.   "Do you know where she is?" William asks.   "Just know she told us to just wait here and enjoy the party because she wanted to change clothes or something." Ivan explains before he throws question at me. "Louis, are you okay?"   I am surprised by his question. Has he been noticing that I've been weirdly staring at his face? "Uh-Yeah..." I reply shortly.   "Alright, we're just going to have to enjoy ourselves right now then. See you around, Iv." With that, William closes our conversation and pulls me to the tent area.   I thought he's going to expect me to blend with the crowd under that tent. But apparently no, we keep walking past the tent. Heading to the side of the house building where there aren't too many people and less noisy. William corners me slowly until my back meets the cold wall. I stare up at his face, waiting for explanation for his sudden act. Despite of the poor lighting, I think he has no problem noticing a big question mark in my face.   "You know what? Sometimes I have this strong urge to just lock you up at home and never let you go." He whispers that at my ear. Our faces are close to each other. "Do you know why?"   I shake my head slowly. His question sounds dangerous to my ears. "What are you doing, William?" I put my free hand that is not holding a bag on his chest. Giving a little pressure on it just to measure if I can push him a little bit away. Well no, he doesn't budge.   "Because I'm sick of looking at you staring at other guy's face with an obvious awe expression."   "What are you talking about? I'm not doing that."   "Your eyes were literally glued to Ivan during the whole conversation, Lou. You can't possibly think that I wouldn't notice that, can you?" He asks again. "You're making me jealous, Baby. How am supposed to handle that? Do you like him? Do you want to leave me?"   "What?" I blurt out a small chuckle. How could he even think that? "No, William. It's not like that. I wasn't looking at him because I like him, no." I start my reasoning while allowing a smile to comfort him. I seriously thought it was the other way around. I thought it was William who has his eyes glued to Ivan the whole time. "I was just amazed by how beautiful he really is in a close distance, and I couldn't help comparing myself to him."   "Comparing?" William raises his eyebrows.   "Yeah, I know. I'm not supposed to do that. He's so gorgeous. And I am so of out of his league, aren't I?" I give out a snort at my own comments.   "Where does that idea come from?" William inspects me with his prying eyes, as if I was just talking in a strange language. "He is so far below your rank, Baby. Why do I have a feeling that you're believing otherwise? Do you think I've been lying to you when I say you have no flaws?"   I'm flattered by the way he describes me. Does he really think that I'm more good-looking than Ivan? "I'm sorry. I guess it's just my low self-esteem."   "If it's possible to just lock you up in my room forever, I would absolutely do that, Baby. So that I could be the only one with a privilege of seeing your precious pretty face every day." He holds my face with his both hands. Eyeing me with a noticeably warm and loving-like gaze.   A second after, I find myself melted in his hug, receiving series of his hot and demanding kisses. He presses my body further into the wall. He doesn't allow me too much space to move around. I can feel his hands are starting to travel down to my lower back. I guess that's his favorite spot. He claws possessively at my bottom to remind me that I am wanted. Yeah, maybe that's what I need. A constant reminder that I'm actually desired by my boyfriend so that I can stop my bad habit of looking down on myself.   I still have my hand placed on his chest when he's starting to grind his hips onto mine. Creating slow frictions to excite a certain part of my lower region where his bulging crotch meets mine. Oh God, is this even the right time to do this? "William, we're at a party." I gasp for more air.   "How am I supposed to stop, Baby? You're f*cking edible." He slurs before locking his lips on my bare neck.   I try so hard to control myself and my breathing. It's starting to get really good and I don't want to get an erection at my friend's party because it's going to be embarrassing. I throw my glance around to find something else to be focused on. And it is when I catch a familiar figure standing about ten feet away from us. Despite of the poor lighting around his spot, I can easily recognize that he is none other than Ethan. I don't know that he's invited as well. And if I'm not mistaken, he's currently staring straight at my eyes.   I try to push my boyfriend's chest again but still he doesn't budge. "William... People are watching."   "Ignore them, Baby." He's still busy kissing the exposed skin on my neck.   "It's Ethan. He's looking at us." I whisper at his ear.   William takes an unexpected pause and fixes his gaze at my flustered face. I know I must be flustered. I feel hot, especially down there. Suddenly, William is smirking. "Let him watch, Baby. He should know that you're mine." Gosh, how come he's still acting so territorial right now?   Without any warning. William resumes to his ministration and continues to enjoy my body in the way that's possible to do in our current situation. I look back at Ethan's direction. Half hoping that he's left already. But apparently, I'm not that lucky. He's still standing there, looking at me, with a sad expression. Ethan is being weird again. I frown at him, silently asking him why he is even making that face. And a few seconds after, my frowning is being replied with a hateful expression. Anger and hatred are clearly drawn on his face. That's right. That is the usual Ethan.   "Somebody's having their own little party in the middle of my birthday party." Jess' voice is successfully breaking us off of each other.   I quickly take in the sight of two girls in front of me. They're Jess and Emily. Jess is wearing low cut pink glittery dresses that makes her cleavage more visible and a glittery crown on top of her head to make it easier for people to recognize which one the birthday girl is. Emily is wearing a more casual blue tube dress, no glitters. I thought she's going to come with a guy from the football team.   "Hi Jess. Hi Em." I greet the two girls after I manage to catch my breath. "I'm sorry."   Jess is laughing. "Don't be sorry. I'm so glad you came." She gives me a friendly hug to show me how happy she is to see me. "And thanks for coming, William."   "Happy birthday." William replies her gesture with a greeting and a polite smile. Jess thanks him again.   "Happy birthday, Jess." I greet her while giving her the paper bag that I've been holding since I got here. "It's your birthday present."   "Oh my God, you're giving me present." Jess exclaims. "I'm not expecting it but thank you, Cinnamon Roll!"   I laugh at her. "I hope you like it."   "Hey, William. Can I borrow your boyfriend for a bit?" Jess asks. "We're going to start the candle blowing. It's going to be recorded and I want him to be near me so that the camera won't miss him."   "Yeah sure. Don't worry." William's still showing a kind smile. I hope he can understand. She is my best friend after all.   "You can join us if you want." Jess offers him.   "No, it's alright. You guys just have fun."   I know William will decline it even before he answers. And I understand why he does that. He doesn't like being around girls. He once mentioned that girls are too noisy to his liking. But that doesn't mean he will forbid me from making friends with girls. In fact, William prefers me to make friends with girls rather than with boys. He's going to explode if I dare to address some guy to be a good friend of mine.   "Alright then. See you, William." Jess pulls my hand to follow her to the big table nearby the tent.   "Have fun, Baby." William waves his hand at me. And I thank him immediately.   With that, I leave William alone to join the party's main event. Which is the candle blowing, the singing 'Happy Birthday' and other games and stuffs that are new to me. Yeah, this is the first time I've ever been to high school friend's party. There are quite a bunch of games that I've never heard of. I try my best to be very supportive towards Jess by following all the party's rundown and joining all the ceremonials. I'm happy to see her laugh a lot tonight. So this is what it feels like to be in a seventeenth birthday party of your best friend. Few months ago, something like this hadn't even come across my mind. I feel so lucky that I met William.   I pull my phone out of my jeans pocket. I still use my old phone, by the way. I haven't had time to migrate the data today. I always use my phone to check the time since I don't have a watch. It's almost eleven. All the party rundown has been completed. Now people are left to do whatever they want to do. Enjoying music, wild dancing, snacking, drinking and even making out. Turns out, William and I are not the only ones who do such thing in a party.   I take one paper cup and fill it with Cola as I remember I haven't had anything since I got here. No wonder I feel very thirsty. I see Emily sitting on one of the provided couches with a blonde guy. He must be that football guy. They both seem to be engaged in a lovely conversation. Emily never stops smiling. Good for her, I think. I look around to find Jess but she's nowhere to be found again. She's probably going back inside her house to store all the birthday presents she's getting or to have a short break.   Alright, I think it's time for me to go back to William. I throw the empty paper cup into the provided trash bin so I don't litter the place and proceed to look for my boyfriend. I take a good look at the crowd under the tent and around the table to make sure he's not there before I start wandering to other spots. I walk back to the side of the house building, where I left him earlier. He's not there. I see some couples are making out at that place. The sight automatically causes me to drop my gaze down. I don't want them to catch me staring. That would be weird. Well, I guess William's not here right now. Why would he wait here all alone anyway?   I keep walking forward until almost reaching to the back of the house. I can see a pool from where I stand now. Wow, Jess' even got a swimming pool. How nice. But I don't think any of the guest are hanging in here. There are no party lights or anywhere to sit. It's probably an off-limit area. I should head back to the tent now. Feeling hopeless, I contemplate whether I should call William or just wait where I can be easily seen. Calling him will be a tough task due to the laud music.   I turn around to go back, but suddenly I catch a figure standing in a darker spot where there's only a minimum amount of lighting from the tent that can reach it. I'm standing about twenty feet away from him and I can't really see his face. The person is leaning against the white house wall. His breathing seems to be uneven and I can hear him grunting with a very low tone. Is he sick or something? I should probably ask whether he needs help.   I walk closer until it's about fifteen feet away from the guy. And it is when I can clearly see that he is none other than my boyfriend, William. And before I end up concluding that he is feeling unwell, I take in the sight of someone kneeling in front of him. I can only see that person's back but it's not that difficult to recognize such shoulder-length silvery blonde hair that's being gripped tightly by William's hand. It's so obvious that William is enjoying whatever that is being done to his crotch region.   I'm starting to have trouble catching my breath as the scene before my eyes is literally suffocating. I almost lose my footing, as if the world around me is crumbling at once. My chest hurts so bad like it's going to explode. Hot tears are flowing involuntarily, making my face wet all over.   What is actually happening? ***
