There was no way this was happening. If I was being honest, I didn't know which was worse; not knowing what was happening, or not knowing why it was happening. Either way, I didn't like any of them and it didn't help that all of my efforts were proving futile. I ran a hand through my hair as I paced around my office. I was anxious, and dare I say scared. This wasn't the time to try to prove being emotionless. Right now, I liked to think that these emotions were the only thing making sure I was still sane and wasn't dead yet.
