Lexi's POV
Mason and I both glanced at each other in surprise, silently asking ourselves how he found out.
"Well?" Dad inquired, cutting our silent interaction off.
"I'm so sorry. It wasn't my intention to keep the truth from you," he apologized.
"Then why did you lie? You thought we wouldn't find out?" Dad asked.
"I just thought it would be better if you didn't know back then. I also didn't put much thought into it because Lexi and I didn't exactly get along at first if you realized that. I was tutoring Lexi then and I didn't want to make you uncomfortable. I liked the way you treated me as one of you. People tend to treat me differently once they find out my status and I didn't want that to happen," he explained.
