“Since Saera will be hosting the Eve of Bond Feast tomorrow night, I’ll have Steffan send all of the Moonveil offerings directly to the Lochwood estate.”
My mother's voice carried across the boutique as I stood on the fitting platform for the final inspection of my celestial bonding gown.
“That makes sense,” I replied. “That way I can open some of the gifts during the dinner.”
“I thought so too—”
She turned toward me and froze.
For a moment, she simply stared.
“Oh…”
Her hand lifted to her chest.
“Thailia.”
Emotion cracked her voice.
“You look beautiful.”
A smile tugged at my lips.
“Really?”
Mother nodded quickly as tears welled in her eyes.
“Yes.”
She stepped onto the platform and cupped my face.
