I closed the front door and I knew I had to wipe the goofy grin off my face. I am meant to be in denial or recovering or whatever from “learning” that Mya never really loved me. I guess Logan told my family a different version of the truth, a legal version. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I smiled thinking about Maddy. I knew I had to wait before even looking at the text because my smile would go wild. As I turned around, I saw my mother and Dan waiting for me in the hallway. Their concerned looks greeted me.
