Lucas's POV:
Ahhh, the night is so dark and desolate... The dimness, however, relieves me to unveil my wicked side, which I can perfectly hide the rest of the time from the world.
Though I appear to be a fun-loving, and a womanizer, deep down inside... I am someone who has a lot of hidden scars which will haunt me for the rest of my life. Sadly, I can't leave the memories behind because they are the sole reasons which have made me the malicious beta-werewolf I am today!
Yes, I am highly obsessed with my big brother Nathan. Though we are half-brothers born from different mothers.
My mother was an innocent omega who was brutally pushed to the verge of death by the proud alpha mother of Nathan, Evelyn Young...She is also someone I despise the most!
The reason behind my obsession with Nathan is neither love nor hate. But he is someone whom I have always followed from my childhood, as I was instructed. All I was taught was to be as strong as Nathan!
But, my only reason for living this painful life is to surpass him and become the dominating leader of the Crescent Pack...
And I will do whatever it costs to gain the status someday... No matter how barbaric I need to become for it... I will gladly do it!
I was walking along the narrow aisles at a slow pace. It was comparatively desolated and I loved the silence. But...
I was pretty hungry! I had beef steak for dinner but still the smell which I found on Nathan, somehow provoked by hunger maliciously! I am craving some human blood now!
Suddenly, I halted with the perception of a unique, sweet, fragrance that I could sense near me. Strangely, I had sniffed the same smell on Nathan at home while I was pestering him. Perplexedly, I glanced at my wristwatch and it was around 10:45 pm. How is this smell present here at this late hour?
I turned around and looked everywhere to witness a human emitting that mystical sweet fragrance. According to Nathan, she was a mere human, but I have never sensed such a strong smell in any human maiden!
Suddenly, I could feel some timid footsteps as someone was walking towards me from behind. Unknowingly, my animal instincts preoccupied my senses and my razor-sharp claws emerged from the nails. I have always been alert of any cryptic animal or human attack from behind, so now my defense powers work on their own.
But it was not an attack this time. A tall, elegant, and divinely beautiful lady with shimmering black hair up to the waist, left untied, was walking towards me from behind. She had a glum expression in her eyes and her face appeared a bit tired. She was walking nonchalantly and didn't even bother to look at me.
Immediately, I hid my claws and stared at her intensely. I was right! The sweet and unique fragrance was indeed emitting from her. Who is this mysterious lady?
I walked towards her hastily with an evil smirk on my face. This lady indeed has a special aura around her! Damn, I am so curious now!
As I strolled much closer to her she couldn't help but notice me. Immediately she frowned at her eyebrows after witnessing my sneer.
"Hey, why are you blocking my way?" She inquired about me pretty sharply with a deep voice. She didn't even seem a bit scared of an unknown man standing in her way with a devilish grin on his face. How strange! Generally, human maidens are such weaklings! But, she looks tough...
"Aren't you scared of me?" I asked her quite inquisitively, as my eagerness was already on the edge.
She gazed at me for a moment and sighed. "Look, I don't have money. I can even show you my wallet as evidence. So, don't waste your time on me and go rob some other people." With a disgruntled look on her face, she replied sternly.
What the hell? Did she assume I was a burglar?
I scratched my eyebrows and gazed at her obscurely. "Hey, don't you dare insult me like that! I am not any knave!" I raised my voice a bit with an intense expression to scare her a little. I enjoy it too much when feeble weaklings are terrified of our supernatural powers.
But...she didn't even seem to bother about it and gasped at me with a dubious look on her face.
"Whatever, I don't care who you are! But I am terribly exhausted today, so don't pester me anymore and leave my way." She sounded quite harsh while answering.
I was getting agitated with her expression. I am not accustomed to this kind of incompatible behavior from ladies! Almost every maiden I have met till today falls head over heels for me instantly due to my attractive appearance.
Then who the hell is this lady treating me like trash?
Though I admit it was quite dark hours, I was sure my face was visible prominently in the moonlight. So, why isn't she enamored with my charm? With the gradual passing time, her smell was getting much more intense.
"Hello? Are you deaf, Mr.?" She again shrieked at me angrily, as if she was already getting pissed off at my presence. But I can't lose so easily to such a mere human!
I gazed at her intensively and tried to use my hypnotic senses to make her fall for me.
"Be infatuated with me... Devote yourself to your master! You will be mine from now on!" I tried to inject the command within her with the help of my hypnotic senses with my profound stare in her eyes. Till now, no human has escaped from such a charming attack from a witty werewolf like me!
She will be completely smitten by me now! I will crush her pride anytime soon, then it will be easy for me to even devour her today.
That's what I thought would likely happen!
"Hey? Do you want me to punch you?" She howled at Lucas agitatedly with a dense look in her eyes.
Lucas was completely shocked by her behavior and took two steps back from her. "Heck! Didn't she get hypnotized by me?" He thought while glaring at her.
