Mum is growing stronger by the day and I could not be happier than that. Even though the chemotherapy is really awful and painful to bear, my mum still managed to go through it. It is very sad to see the struggle that she go through as she not only lose all her hairs but also her taste bud. Not to mention her skin is extremely dry and she shrunk into a pile of bones. It took years to nurse her back to a lively person she once used to be. We carry on with our life and she start taking in bulk factory sewing to do it at home. It does not pay a lot just bare minimum but still with my help she managed to earn a decent amount each month. I will normally do all the easy bits and leave the harder more details sewing to her which help to speed up a lot of her work. Apart from sewing, we manage to squeeze in some shopping trips too which is the highlight of the year as we rarely able to afford to splash. But this is a must have outing especially Mother's Day or her birthday. We never know how many more special days we could be together to celebrate so we treasure every opportunity that is available. I have always been a dreamer with no thought of what I want to be when I grow up. I am very content to just go with the flow. Life had been pretty decent for the next few years. Nothing much, just eat, work and enjoy each others company. Not long after I got married, I give to a beautiful son named Bryan at the age of 18. He weight around 8 pounds and is very chubby. That is the best give I gave my mother. Her very first grandson. She is over the moon and as he grows a little older he can definitely get his way with his beloved grandma. A little heartbreaker that is for sure. A few months after his birth my husband decided to leave the country to try his luck in England as there are not a lot of opportunities for middle class or low class people. That is the biggest step in my entire life. By taking this steps means that I have got to leave behind my mum and also my chubby son. That is a very stressful time and after much considerations I decided to follow my husband. I need to use the time and youth while I still can to earn more money and give a more secure future to the two most important people in my life. I f I work there that means my mum will not need to take on anymore sewing. She can spend her time cooking and looking after my son instead. All those years of sewing is taking its toll on her eyesight. With me going abroad will definitely make a huge improvement on their every day lives. So of we go to the unknown. All this uncertainties is making me very nervous. I get home sick for the first few years as I missed my mum and my son every waking hours. The only comfort is the photos that she sent me and knowing that the money that I earn is making their lives so much brighter. That though keep me going for the next two years. I am saving up to get my mum a little three bedroom flat so that they can live comfortably. That is her tiny little wish that I am working hard to grant her. After all the downs that she had been through in her life this is amount to next to nothing. A little place to called your own with her name on the deeds. At that time flat is the cheapest option but to her it is already the best. She start looking for suitable places while I carry on this side of the world. Until one day she was very excited when I rang her and she inform me that she found a nice little flat not far from where we currently located and the price is very cheap too. I am very happy for her and I told her I will transfer the money into her account so she can proceed with the procedures.
